Little lettuce sandwich for lunch today with leftover meatloaf from take-out last evening. Ate it all. Happy Mother's Day weekend to all you fabulous Mom's out there! My fur son after the groomers yesterday waiting patiently for some cheddar cheese and peanut bites. ;] -
I know, I know - Definitely nothing exhilarating as bayou bikini!... But did add a little splash to our rather monotonous casual attire out for errands this past weekend. Anyone know what day this is!? Amazing evening walk at dusk yesterday. Uplifting peonies from our garden.

Uooolala... Good for you spicing up lock down. This outfit for the day should certainly aid to the recovery of hubby in no time! ;]

Drum roll, please! Here's ms.sss inspiring sweet potato and corn chowder. It is over the top delicious like silly kitty's herbed chicken & wild rice soup. Hubby likes both recipes and is thrilled they'll become regulars on the menu. I used just a smidgen of maple bourbon bacon from Whole Foods as base and to sautéed ingredients. Left out the flour and heavy cream substituting with ½ cup of half n' half. Really enjoying our supper club from coast to coast, and beyond. Thank you for sharing such great newly discovered recipes! It's so easy to get in a rut these days... -

Dinner tonight! Shrimp with honey, lime, soy sauce + red chili flakes in wok. Ready in a flash. I just love Bird's Eye baby garden peas - This my last frozen pea package... They don't appear to be restocking them. :[ -
I agree, wholeheartedly! And, I believe Dr. V to be wise, sincere and a very good friend to the WLS community. His analogy of a the small garden is SPOT ON! This espalier was created for our front courtyard wall to add depth, interest and beauty. The initial set up required a thoughtful schematic plan then the paint/construction/wiring. Within one tropical season of patience, direction, vigilance and determination - The confederate jasmine seedlings planted in nutrient rich, high quality soil + solid foundation has grown into a stunning and hardy vine after 16 years. It has weathered six serious hurricanes, droughts and other stresses over the years. I merely monitor, prune, fertilize and finesse on occasion. His advice is timeless and applicable to any human journey. We are holistic beings of many facets. Thank you for posting, Green Tealael!!! It was like having coffee on the side porch today with an inspiring friend, especially in this current state of isolation. And, a great salad buddy! I, too, cultivated being a happy, confident and well adjusted overweight. That goal was paramount in becoming slim with joy and success - Not drama and struggle to which he speaks. Setting up an environment for success. We've got this! Happy spring!

My new fashion accessory with pajama's is a fit bit that arrived this morning! LOL. Actually, while in 6 weeks of quarantine - I'm trying to improve + update my limited tech savvy (still back in the dark ages claims my engineer hubby) with new cell phone apps, online webinars, Zoom meets and other curiosities! I resisted at first. Now all kind of fun at least, for the time being... The fit bit really tracks a lot of things. Colorful cases, too. Who knew? ;]

LOVE LOVE LOVE the floral dress and halter bodice lines on you. You wear it so well. And, your arms - wow! The mermaid emerald gown is gorgeous on you, too, ms.sss! The neck line is exquisite. Emerald green is the birthstone of May - May birthday by chance? I'm a May 29th baby and that is one of my favorite jewel tones. Once my foundations arrive via mail (did not have time to shop in person for them after PS before lock down). You've inspired me (and, hopefully, others on thread) to play dress up in my closet for outfits acquired for cancelled or postponed meaningful major events this spring. Sadly, they were all hung in garment bags directly without a last fitting from seamstress... that's how quickly everything closed down here March 18th - six weeks ago now. So, I guess it's time for a little fashion show and cheer to lift ours spirits! Thanks for getting the ball rolling... x o ;]

Okay, then. Let the lock down cook-off begin Ms. Greentealeal! I'll make the original recipe less the bacon and you make a vegetarian version? I still have all the fresh herbs left from chicken and rice soup recipe Sunday. Let's put on those domestic diva aprons and post sweet potato and corn chowder creations. Anyone else care to join in? Fun! Inspired now for my one exciting excursion out a week: The grocery market. Haha. -

Yay! My favorite gal is back for a visit... Salads boring, NEVER! I eat one a day and yours look gorgeously delicious. I'm coming over for lunch sometime. Haha. What is your favored dressing shown here? Hubs and myself would LOVE this soup. Might you share the recipe? Fresh sweet potatoes are a staple at our place. We mix it in Bobby's kibble everyday, too. And, his favorite apple pumpkin snacks by Fruitables. Spring sprung yet? -

Fierce hailstone storm yesterday produced this wonderful spring like day! Windows wide open with a splendid breeze. Savoring every moment before the tropical heat waves and hurricane season begins. Speaking of savoring, delish sandwich for lunch today with Sunday's protein pancake leftovers... Happy Monday fellow foodies! ;] -

Yum! One of my favorites... I love fresh blueberries and slivered almonds + cinnamon, too. I usually have this several times a week. Also, love pineapple tidbits and banana mix. I am not a yogurt fan. So, Breakstone 2% low-fat - 45% less sodium cottage cheese small curd is a go to staple. What brand do you like? -

We had an unusually violent storm hit late this afternoon... Hail pellets hit loudly against our large kitchen windows while I was making the herb chicken and wild rice soup recommended by Silly Kitty. Needless to say, the soup was a resounding success making a big bang for dinner tonight! Haha. Made it with baby spinach instead of chard. Yum! -

Hubby made these delicious pancakes for us this Sunday morning combining egg, cottage cheese, vanilla extract and oatmeal in blender. I added a dabble of real Vermont maple syrup and cantaloupe. Leftover pancakes heat up really well for another great meal like a creative sandwich. ;] -

Do you deliver to West Palm Beach!? ;] -
Some of our favorites shows you might enjoy should you like mysteries, historical settings, suspense or intrigue: The Fall; Penny Dreadful; Endeavor; Inspector Lewis; Breathless; Foyle's War; The Knick; Mad Men. The Durrells in Corfu and Doc Martin are fun and humorous. Agree, The Soprano's! How could you not resist that lovable sociopath, Tony Soprano.

Hi Mark from Tennessee. Welcome. Congratulations on your awesome weight loss + maintenance of 137 pounds! We share that magic number. I'm maintaining a comfortable range of 119 - 122 sixteen months out. Share with us some of your favorite clothing. Off on errands today - not really dressing up for Zoom conferences or client business tasks behind the desk top computer these days. By the way, does anyone know what day this is today!? LOL

You've gotten tinier since your last post! Red looks amazing on you.

THANK YOU BF!!! I am really going to miss my northeast springtime blossom fix this year. The pale pink flowers are exquisite. Wow.

Breakfast with one egg omelette this morning with spinach, onion, Swiss cheese and lean ham cubes. Sauté lean low salt ham cubes in just a splash of real maple syrup. Then, I use the cubes for navy bean soup, a chef salad and sunny side eggs for extra flavor. Just a few bites satisfy. -

Here was Sunday's dinner last night. Carmine's grocer had some wonderful lollipop lamb chops on sale. And, a fab mint jelly... I say why not milk that favorite Easter dinner for all its worth. Right?! We usually roast a large bag of fresh green beans that will last for a few more meals.
