Missed everyone! Back home after the cabin retreat. We saw lions, tigers and bears, oh my! Actually, just bears. A mama bear and her two cubs then, a juvenile later down the lane. Here's a few great dishes we savored from a roof top restaurant in town. Hubbies homemade strawberry rhubarb pie-ettes for himself and our cabin guests. -

Had some cauliflower left in the fridge - so tired to replicate this salad we had a few weeks ago at our new fav restaurant. It's thinly sliced raw cauliflower, slivered roasted almonds, sliced dates and kale strips. Tossed and marinated in fresh lemon juice, honey, olive oil with S&P + chili flakes dressing. Shaved Parmesan cheese topping. It was lunch. I ate the entire serving in clear glass bowl. -

You have so much to look forward to!!! 50 pounds! Wow. Congratulations... well on your way. So very excited for you. Don't hesitate to share your milestones with us. We've celebrated and watched one another drop clothing sizes into our final goals. Fun! i.e. 3X shorts into these size 4 washed blue jeans + XS leather jacket in 1 year and 8 months.

The Emotional First + Aid Kit (A practical guide to life after Bariatric surgery), second edition, by Cynthia L. Alexander, PsyD is a handy little reference I've enjoyed. A sense of humor doesn't hurt either. Even the mainstream are struggling with food given these precarious times. A good time to give grace to ourselves - And, to bestow before others. ;]

Yes, it was sweltering that day. My hair was glued to my head. Hair spray melt down. LOL. And, this was by the intracoastal with an 102 breeze. Actually, summer has not been to oppressive this year. I just wear lots of comfy natural cottons and linens. Lot's of air holes + ventilation in this blouse. ;] Synthetics never breath - At least for me here in sub-tropical land. How has your summer been?
