Congratulations on your new job offers!!! 🙌 I'm so happy for you 😁

Be patient with your body it has just went through major surgery and needs time, intermittently, to take a break and do some healing in between the times of weight loss. Stalls suck but stay on your program and the scale will start moving again. Also think of this, when you dieted on your own and quit, that was ultimately a stall right?
-
Congratulations 👏

You will find it much easier to stay on plan after your surgery so don't beat yourself up too much about it. Help is on the way! But after your surgery consider fear of failure your best friend not an enemy. Embrace that fear and never let go of it.
-
That's a good point it might be to soon. Hopefully it'll get better by the time you go back to work. Good luck!
-
That sucks! The only other thing I can think of is to try intermittent fasting and not eat while you're at work and just get your water in until your system gets back to normal.
-
Yes it's totally normal and it will get better. I couldn't even hold my arms up to wash my hair without taking breaks. It got better with the eventual increase in protein intake.
-
Welcome and congratulations on your upcoming surgery 😊

Turn on the faucet, the electric hand dryer, if there is one, and flush over and over to drown out the noise.

Congratulations and have a Happy Birthday 🎉🎈🎊

Sorry you're going through this. If you can get something for the nausea it will really help with staying hydrated. Hopefully once you start feeling better you'll have a different outlook on your decision. To most of us, after all the immediate post op ailments are gone, we realize it's been the best decision we've ever made. Good luck

One thing I wish I would have asked my Dr. before my surgery is what bougie size he was using for my sleeve. My restriction seems really good but it would be nice to know what size he used and I will be bringing it up at my next visit. Do you guys know yours?
-
Oh good! I hope you're feeling good! Welcome to the losers bench 🤗
-
I just got back from my follow up and my Dr. said they used a 34 but they don't staple extremely close to the bougie.
-
Oh ok then I would take @Orchids&Dragons advice about going back to liquids or try a plant based protein.
-
Are you drinking drinking too much too fast? I'm almost 4 months out and it still takes me about 45min to an hour to drink a protein shake. They're very filling especially to a new stomach.

I used to work 1st Watch and I agree with @MzTrip I used to workout immediately after my shift because I knew once I went to sleep I'd make up some excuse not to do it when I woke up.

Holy pistachios Batman!!!
justmetj replied to DanieHall's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OMG I love pistachios 😋. I was allowed 1-2 Tbsp of almonds, peanuts or cashews on week 5. My plan doesn't mention pistachios. Just be careful because they have a lot of calories. -

July 2019 - Surgery Schedule
justmetj replied to Mom_of_Chaos's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know you've been through a lot of trials and tribulations on your long journey to this day. I wish the best for you and hope you have a speedy recovery Karen 🤗 -
I've noticed some people become diet experts after THEIR surgery. Often I see comments about how YOU should eat because that's what works for THEM. You have to do what works for you and don't let others dictate or make you feel inferior because the way you choose to lose your weight. This is YOUR journey not theirs. There is a fine line that people sometimes cross when giving advice that crosses over to being condescending. So if eating clean all the time is your thing, go for it , or if you choose to "eat in moderation" because your a big girl/boy and can add a "treat" into your macros and be accountable at the same time go for it. DO YOU!

PROTEIN SHAKES POST OP HELP
justmetj replied to New&Improved's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I still drink them almost everyday. Like you I'm busy and sometimes it's just so convenient.
