I was nervous also. But i was sleeved on the 3rd. The first night, nauseau was horrid. After that its been smooth sailing. I started at 210 day of surgery today im 200 lbs. I feel pretty good and have stopped the narcotic pain meds. Im a diabetic and assumed it would be worse but u got this. One rough day for years of better health and happiness. Praying for u. -

I was sleeved on 4/3. It was horrific. I had severe gas pain and nauseau. My PIcc line failed too. Hoping i can soon drink without dry heaving. Anyone else experiencing these side effects -

My surgeon only required the day before surgery to be liquid diet. Other than that he just instructed not to gain weight -
Im April 3rd too!! I am definitely feeling anxious. I also have the emotional connection to food. Good luck!! Glad to know someone is going through this the same time.

Surgery Cancelled to A1C being too high

Anyone have their surgery cancelled or delayed due to A1C being high. Mine was 9.1 surgeon requires under 9. Any advice on how to quickly lower A1C. I am being tested again on March 5. Bummer.... -

Surgery has been postponed by a1c was too high at 9. 1 they wont operate

My surgery was postponed. My ac1 was 9.1 so they wont do the surgery for two more months. Very discouraging and depressing

Good luck! Let us know how it goes. I am Feb 18th. I haven't been notified yet what my diet pre op is. I go tomorrow for preadmission testing, I will most likely find out then.
