I did not have to have an endoscopy , they did a X-ray with barium on my stomach -

I have never heard of that, I have an appointment for March 19th for blood work and for our binder etc to get ready for our pre op diet, but they didn’t say anything about testing for that. I guess I’ll find out that day. -

Nicoleamy your stats and mine are almost identical Starting weight 250 Height 5’5 Goal is 155 I’m April 9 for the gastric bypass. -

Dr just called surgery is now scheduled for April 9th

I’m excited too I want to start trying some different protein drinks and powders, try some different recipes for soups, anything to keep me busy while I wait! Lol

Wreckitangie keep us posted on how long bcbs takes I have basically the same insurance And requirements, I go tomorrow for my nutrition class, I already met with the psychologist. Nurse at the drs office said from 3 days to 30 for the approval, I’m hoping 3 I would like my surgery in feb also. -
So far I really like the surgeon very down to earth and everyone at his office has been wonderful, I am going tomorrow to meet with the dietician and then they will submit for approval. So hopefully I will find out a date soon after.

I’m starting to get excited and nervous, first appointment today. I scheduled all the other appointments with the required drs. If all goes well will be having surgery end of February beginning of March. I am looking forward to be able to go down the stairs without my knees or back aching.
