For all of you with April 1st surgeries, sending good vibes!!

I just realized I was still looking at my original date of the 8th so really we have to start on Tuesday and 15 days lol😂

I officially start tomorrow, I kind of started on Wednesday but only half ass. 14 days tomorrow Alwzla8.

That stinks, and yes that was one thing I was happy about.

That’s how those vitamins are hubby said oh they can’t be that bad, he tasted one and coughed and gagged for a minute lol. We can have broth and the sugar free jello and popsicles in between as well. We start in puréed food when we get home from hospital and stay on that for 1 month.

Went to the pre op meeting yesterday, wow was I overwhelmed, it was very informative but so much information. They are having us all start our diet today, two protein drinks and 1 meal with 4oz of protein and 1/2 cup of veggies. We also had to start on cq10, they’re horrible chewable vitamins and benefiber. I’m so hungry and can’t wait until dinner for my chicken lol. I hope it gets better in the next couple days

Supergirl when is your surgery

Supergirl I am also terrified I have never had surgery before but I keep thinking of all the obesity related diseases that I want to avoid. And how I want to live long enough to see all my boys getting married and having they’re own babies, that’s what keeps me from canceling the surgery. We will do great!!

I am only 20 min from the hospital and I am hoping for an early appointment because I am so nervous. I have never had surgery before so the actual anesthesia is scaring the daylights out of me. The after I’m really not worried about.

Looks like 4 of us on the 9th.

I’m hoping for an early appointment , I will not find out until 2 days before surgery, so does that make 3 of us on the 9th?

Lol I also like to shop but after organizing the closet I think I need to hold off on the shopping.

Yesterday, I organized my closet,drawers, bins etc., lol I organized by size so as I lose weight i can just move onto the next size, after reading so many posts on here many people keep bins by their closet to put clothes they want to donate, I’m cheap so I’m using big black garbage bags. I could not believe how many clothes I have in so many different sizes, I shouldn’t have to buy clothes in a long time! My goal is to get back into my wedding dress i weighed 170 when I got married.

Pattianne I will have to try those, I just tried the elite core by fairlife and they were way too thick I even tried pouring it over ice still too thick I have been trying to find unflavored protein powder I’m thinking I will have to go to gnc or order it online. I can’t believe surgery is only 4 weeks away!!

I like the core by fairlife both choc and vanilla so far, the premier protein was a little eh and the mango orange protein water is awful lol but I don’t really like any flavored water. I added a ton of ice to make it bearable

Meijer s has them they were by the water which is why I couldn’t find them before (I was looking by the protein drinks) pricey 249 a bottle on sale, but I wanted to try them before I buy any cases

I just bought fair life protein shakes to try one of each and I also bought the elite core which has 42 g of protein but 11 g of carbs going to try those this week, I also bought the protein water, don’t know if I will like them I’m not a big fan of flavored water, so we’ll see!

Thank you she passed away in 1999 and that was the push my mom needed. I wish I could exercise, that’s another reason for the surgery my knees and back hurt so bad i haven’t been able to exercise. This will be a great new chapter for all of us!

Lol never tried that, but my mother-in-law has gained back about 30lbs but she doesn’t watch what she eats and she likes wine a lot! My mother has done great there was a time she had gained about 20lbs but she started watching what she was eating and probably lost it within 8 weeks. Surgeon told me I could expect to do what my mother has done, obesity runs in my family, unfortunately my grandmother passed away at 69 from obesity related Diseases so That is one big reason for doing this and my mother has done so well so that helps.

SusieQ that is what my dr. Said as well no caffeine, now my mother and mother law both had the bypass in 2001 and 2002 and they can both pretty much eat or drink anything, my mother has a problem with ice cream so if she really wants some she will just have a bite. But coffee is fine

Coffee is the only thing I haven’t given up yet, i have 3-4 cups a day, and just like my diets I say tomorrow I’ll start cutting down, I really need to start because I know if I don’t have my coffee by 9 I get a headache, so this cutting down should be fun!!

It went ok. I’ve started trying different protein drinks. Trying to get an idea of which ones I like, although it seems everyone’s taste change after surgery.
