It comes back, I think week 3 was when it came back for me. It was when I really was able to eat foods that my body was like YES QUEEN. I think it was just so tired of the liquid diet. Once it was all said and done I had been on the liquid diet for a total of a month (2 weeks before, 2 weeks after) so I think I was just over it.

I'm a little over a month post op had the same problem. So I did powerade zero for a while and now that's started tasting gross and water is starting to taste better.

To snack in between meals or not to snack
zombieskayer replied to Kris77's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
They have me snack, because I can't get all of my protein in otherwise. -
How long did you cover your incisions?
zombieskayer replied to LoloQ's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Mine were never covered, just had glue on them but my mom's were covered (she had hers somewhere else) and they told her to leave it as long as she could. -
Chick-fil-a : post op

3 weeks post op was when I did and they went down fine. Though from what I can tell from other people's post my doctor doesn't make you stay on the phases very long. You're on unrestricted foods by day 35 post op for my doctor. -
Mine has been weird I had my period the week before my procedure. So for my first period after lasted 10 days when before surgery they would last 3 or 4. It was light 3 days heavy 3 days then light again 4 days.

How long did you take before going back to work?
zombieskayer replied to Queenbee34's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I work retail they told me two weeks and then the doctor kept me out another 10 days past that because I wasn't hitting my fluids or protein goals. Officially go back Monday! My mom went back after two weeks to her medical assisting job and then managed to push it to hard and it kept her out of work for almost a month. -
I feel that as well! It is squeaking into my week 4 and I just want to drop weight. I'm sure I'm loosing inches but we are in the middle of moving and I can't find my tape measure to check.

I was told to take it the same way you are. -
IT gets better. Walking helps honestly and after maybe a week I feel like I had control of my drinking.

Having a stall in week 3 as well but apparently it's really common my mom had the same problem. I'm hoping next week I'll see something.

It’s crazy the vast differences in plans.

My Puree phase only lasted a week I'm on soft foods now for 2 weeks. I had my surgery 12/20/18 -
Has anyone kept their surgery a secret?
zombieskayer replied to J Johnston's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I kept mine private. My parents and my husband know and my work knows since I obviously am not working right now because I'm recovering from the procedure but I didn't tell anyone else and I didn't post about it on Facebook or anything. -
Had my gastric sleeve on 12/20 and so far the one shirt I use to cram my body into is super loose now and you can even tell how stretched out it is from me trying to make it work prior to surgery.

Depends on the doctor. My mom has the surgery a month before me with a different doctor and a different hospital and she woke up with one on and told her to wear it until she could get up and down easier. My doctor didn't give one but I ended up borrowing my moms for when I got up and down because it just felt so much better to have it against my stomach when I stood up and sat down. I only wore it for maybe a week but my mom had hers for a bout 3 weeks because she pushed herself too hard and pulled a stitch.

Presurgery I was alway able to hit my 64oz and then some. (especially after I started my liquid diet I was always thirsty) I could probably chug an entire 8oz of water in one sitting presurgery if I tried. I'm 8 day post op and right now I can only seem to get 16oz of water in a day which isn't great at all. I've messed with some different flavoring options to see if a flavored water might make me drink more and it seems powerade zero does the trick. I had about 30oz yesterday.

Less that 10 hours to go...

Good luck! -
Just diet and exercise. WOW! Never considered that.

It's because he's 6'3" Skinny AF and eats whatever his heart wants so he thinks it's easy. -
One week post op and so far my only regret is I can't chug water. I feel thirsty all the time but you can't just take a big swig.

So far I only cheated once and it was during my pre-op liquid diet. We had a friends Christmas party on the 15th and I made 10lbs of my home made mac and cheese. It smelled SOOOOO good, so maybe I had like 5 bites and man was it worth it. -
Under 3 weeks left....nervous
zombieskayer replied to Ellens531's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was super anxious, I didn't end up gaining any wait over thanksgiving ( I had mine done right before Christmas) he had me do 2 weeks of liquid diet prior to surgery and if you follow it to a T you will loose weight with the liquid diet. I was 276 before liquid diet, day of surgery I was 265. I didn't tell anyone in my family but my mom and my dad (and obviously my husband knew) but then family came up for the holiday and they put two and two together when they saw me gimping around sucking on a protein shake. I do agree with your boyfriend that you should tell someone else just in case. My mom was my backup in case my husband couldn't get off (which he couldn't because of it being so close to the holidays BUT he works in the hospital I had my procedure so he stay with me until they took me back went to work and spent his lunch break in my room then came right after he got off work) -

Something similar happened to me on Christmas. My mom actually had vsg on thanksgiving and I had mine on the 20th of this month. She got it because she has degenerative bone disease in her hips down to her toes so there's a lot of work outs she actually can't physically do so that holds her back.I got mine because I have worked with a trainer did the diets and could only ever loose 50lbs and would get stuck no matter what I did. I was at my dad's on Christmas and he said something and I laughed really hard and obviously it hurts since I was only 5 days post op and I held my stomach and said ow and my brother was like "You chose to have the surgery you have no right to complain you could have just gone back to your personal trainer." Oh yeah cause that worked so well the 3 years I trained with him. People are just ignorant. -
Had mine on the 20th!
