This is pretty much my story!!! I went ahead and had the sleeve this past December. My insurance covered all of it. I gained 60 pounds back before I got my band out. Since my sleeve surgery I have lost 28 pounds. So far I have been very happy with my decision, but I am getting a little bored with the food choices. That's partly my fault because I should try to be more creative with the food, but I just really try to focus eating for survival and not necessarily eating for pleasure. Best of luck to you!!

I had mine on the 18th. I have had horrible pain up until today. I finally feel a bit human again! I don't really miss food. I think I am struggling more with making sure to get all of my protein in a day. I worry that if I don't get enough protein that I won't keep losing. But I am happy I made the choice to have the surgery!

I have found the protein infused water ProteinH2O is good! They have many different flavors my favorite is grape. It's only 15g of protein per bottle but it's better than none.

2 weeks post op - sharp shooting pain
Newbie34 replied to Bobbiep's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am having same horrible pain but it is like a burning pain! When I lay down or sit still I am fine. But as soon as I move to get up or walk it is HORRIBLE! Takes my breath away. I saw my doctor this past Friday and he said it is normal. It is from stretching, pulling, cutting muscles etc. I am just curious how long it will last. It is making me super crabby and unhappy! -
And no nausea at all.

It's mostly in my upper quadrant of my abdomen right behind my main incision. It goes through my body to my back.

Thanks for sharing your story. I am 6 days post-op and was feeling pretty good until yesterday. Now I am having increased pain in my left side so much so it's hard to walk. I don't have a fever though, and my heart rate is normal, but I did get diarrhea today, so I am nervous as to what it could be. I called my doctor today and he said he thinks I might have over exerted myself and as long as I don't have the fever or high heart rate the pain should subside. I have a follow up with him on Friday but honestly this pain is the worst it has ever been.

I am 6 days post-op and was feeling pretty good until yesterday. That's when I started getting a sharp pain on my left side. Its becoming more unbearable as the days go by. I don't have a fever, don't have high heart rate, but have had diarrhea a couple times today. I am not sure if this pain is "normal" or if I have something wrong. Thoughts?
