Had my surgery on the 31. Have went today without pain meds but starting to get a little hungry. Have some pressure when swallowing so having trouble getting all my fluid in. -

My surgery is coming up next week and I feel like I am doing something wrong or that my surgery isn't going to go as well as others because my doctor does not have me on any particular diet going into surgery. When reading this board I feel like everyone else has to do a liquid diet leading up to surgery. Just curious if anyone else did not do diet leading up to surgery and how things went for you? -
Anyone taking Cymbalta? How to take Post-Op?

My surgery is tomorrow and I think I am just starting to worry about everything. Currently I take Cymbalta daily and my doctor said I would need to open the capsules and pour in liquid to take for the first week. But after looking online they are time released tablets and say do NOT open. Anyone else taking Cymbalta after your sleeve surgery and how did you take? -

"Food Funerals" 🤣 I haven't thought to call them that but I have also been having those. I keep thinking I should be starting a good diet right now before surgery but at the same time I keep thinking "I'm going to have this because it is the last time I can have it in who knows how long... maybe forever". -
January 31. I think this will be the longest month ever.

Insurance approval after setting surgical date?

Anyone else have BCBS TX and know how long it took to get an approval? My case was submitted yesterday to insurance and I am "scheduled" for surgery on Jan 31. I really need to have surgery on Jan 31 though or else I will have to wait until March due to some work obligations.
