My dr and nurse have not mentioned anything about a liquid diet just yet. My VSG surgery is on the 24th and have meeting with surgeon on the 17th . Maybe it will be mentioned then? -

My Dr, adviser, and nutritionist warned that Carbonation is absolutely off limits for the rest of your life. The consequences can be really bad. Expanding your stomach, eating bad, etc. I would say stay away from it. Ps: Dr said no alcohol for rest of your life but I know that people here say it’s ok....
