I’m 44 had the sleeve 10 mos ago with no complications. I didn’t have any previous stomach or abdominal surgery. Like others said..ck w your dr on the foreseeable complications for you as everyone is different. For me it was smooth recovery and I’m very happy. I’m 5 1/2 pounds from my goal!! Starting weight 231 and currently I’m 140.8. Goal is 135.
Good luck to you on whatever you decide is best for you on your WL journey. -

I have to admit I haven’t went to my NUT but two times since surgery.
-
So do y’all measure 1/2 cup veg and protien combined?
-
I’m sorry they were like that to you.
-
You called telling them you were feeling sick and they told you to see a mental health professional? That would have made me feel bad as well. Maybe you just had a big bc you’re feeling better now right?
-
-
True... I need to start measuring it out.

I’ve noticed recently that I am able to eat more than I was before. I had one occasion where I ate too much and got sick in the past but other than that I have eaten small, below the size portions that I should (bc I stop as soon as I feel anything).
Is this normal? I have had a huge fear since surgery of screwing this up. I know I haven’t overeaten over and over to screw it up but how is it I’m able to eat more?
I am still losing. Slowly but surely. Goal Dr set was 145. My goal is 135.
Started st 231
Pre op-221
Current weight-143
I am very happy with the weight loss. I just want it to stay off.

lunch today. I'm so afraid of dumping I won't eat Chinese out any more. So made my own "miracle" stir fry using very little oil, and no sugar and miracle rice. So dang good!!! I forgot to add the chopped almonds/cashews for the pic but they were delish.
Still working on it, but think there will be leftoverskis.

I hardly peed in the beginning too bc I couldn’t get enough in. Just keep taking small sips frequently

I use women’s one a day (store brand), Calcium supplements, Biotin, b-12
The Biotin has helped a lot with my hair -
Depends on each person. I felt great and could have gone back right away except that I lift up things at my job so I took two weeks off to be safe. Recovery for me was smooth.

You can do it! Keep your eye on the prize!😊

Did you drink caffeine or Diet Coke before surgery? Maybe withdrawals from that?

Congrats! Let us know how you did!

Anyone have walking/running sneaker recommendations?
Let's be honest here, if i own them ... they are just for show 😖😓😁😝
Light weight, great arch support (I do put extra added support inside bc I have low arches). Feel like your walking on a cloud.GreenTealael reacted to this -
That’s awesome!!
Mine have faded but the one where they pulled the stomach portion they took out is still hard and you can still see it.logicwand reacted to this -

OMG - you probably won't see this until you are post-op, so CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! So exciting! This is such a great gift you're giving to yourself.
You are too kind. I do have excess skin! I have some under my arms (not extremely bad)...I do try to hit the gym 3x a week for 15 minutes to work on them a bit. Also, I've gained and lost so much over the years that losing 100 lbs. will take a toll on your body. I do run 50 miles per week which helps with muscle in the legs. Also, I had a mommy makeover (tummy tuck, breast lift and augmentation) 7 years ago which helped keep some of those areas firm. However, my booty is sad, sad, sad and pretty much non existent. LOL (insert crying emoji here) Also, my upper thighs are wrinkly and loose too. I plan to possibly address the booty in 2020 before I turn 40 years old. The nice thing is, is we have options if we decide to go the plastics route. Technology and medicine has come so far.
