How do you know when you’re in Maintenance? For example...if you hit your goal weight but your body keeps losing weight is it not maintenance? Is it only maintenance when you stop losing weight for a while...and if so how long is considered a while?

Yum!! Love watermelon and haven’t ever seen it cut this way!!On 06/20/2019 at 12:26, GreenTealael said:
I haven’t had much luck on watermelon lately. Not very red or sweet inside. How do y’all all pick yours out? I was told to knock on it and get one w the biggest white/yellow spot on it-bc supposedly that means it sat ripening moreGreenTealael reacted to this -
I weigh myself everyday too. I feel like it helps me keep myself in check...seeing it go up or seeing it go down. I don’t think there is anything wrong w doing that everyday. We all want to keep the weight off so I think if that helps do that then I’m going to weigh everyday. 😊On 06/20/2019 at 11:04, GB in CA said:
I also weigh myself everyday even though I know I shouldn't. It seems like I always lose 2 pounds then gain 1 then lose 2 lol

Thank you and yes I do!! Always thought I’d never get to my goal until I had this surgery. I’m still a work in progress. Daily challenges and reminding myself that this is a marathon not a sprint and that keeping these new lifestyle habitsOn 06/17/2019 at 14:56, Goody222 said:

My husband and I always split a meal. We order sides that are usually low carb-broccoli green beans-) now a days the way restaurants make plates splitting is the most sensible thing and we still have tons Of left overs.

I’m 44 had the sleeve 10 mos ago with no complications. I didn’t have any previous stomach or abdominal surgery. Like others said..ck w your dr on the foreseeable complications for you as everyone is different. For me it was smooth recovery and I’m very happy. I’m 5 1/2 pounds from my goal!! Starting weight 231 and currently I’m 140.8. Goal is 135.
Good luck to you on whatever you decide is best for you on your WL journey. -

I have to admit I haven’t went to my NUT but two times since surgery.
-
So do y’all measure 1/2 cup veg and protien combined?
-
I’m sorry they were like that to you.
-
You called telling them you were feeling sick and they told you to see a mental health professional? That would have made me feel bad as well. Maybe you just had a big bc you’re feeling better now right?

True... I need to start measuring it out.

I’ve noticed recently that I am able to eat more than I was before. I had one occasion where I ate too much and got sick in the past but other than that I have eaten small, below the size portions that I should (bc I stop as soon as I feel anything).
Is this normal? I have had a huge fear since surgery of screwing this up. I know I haven’t overeaten over and over to screw it up but how is it I’m able to eat more?
I am still losing. Slowly but surely. Goal Dr set was 145. My goal is 135.
Started st 231
Pre op-221
Current weight-143
I am very happy with the weight loss. I just want it to stay off.

lunch today. I'm so afraid of dumping I won't eat Chinese out any more. So made my own "miracle" stir fry using very little oil, and no sugar and miracle rice. So dang good!!! I forgot to add the chopped almonds/cashews for the pic but they were delish.
Still working on it, but think there will be leftoverskis.

I hardly peed in the beginning too bc I couldn’t get enough in. Just keep taking small sips frequently

I use women’s one a day (store brand), Calcium supplements, Biotin, b-12
The Biotin has helped a lot with my hair -
Depends on each person. I felt great and could have gone back right away except that I lift up things at my job so I took two weeks off to be safe. Recovery for me was smooth.

You can do it! Keep your eye on the prize!😊

Did you drink caffeine or Diet Coke before surgery? Maybe withdrawals from that?
