My daughter is getting married tomorrow (again, they had a tiny little COVID wedding last year, this is a re-do with all the relatives). Tonight is the very casual rehearsal dinner. I’m bound and determined not to look matronly. I’ll post my dress tomorrow :)

You look great!! Send pics of dress too!

You know I always get a little thrill when you say i have "legs for days", LOL.

But truth be told, its all an illusion. I am super short, so my legs are pretty short as well. They just look long cuz (1) i'm standing by myself and (2) I have a pretty high natural waist. You would think that would mean I have long-ish legs for my frame, but really, I just have a long abdomen (and a long-ish a$$ LOLOLOLzzzz)!

One day I'll post a pic with a regular-sized person standing next to me and the illusion will disappear and you'll see my hobbit legs in relativity. 😂

Hobbit legs😂😂😂 why did that just crack me up! No they dec don’t look short. They look long and slim! Id just take slim. Doesn’t matter how much I lose my legs are my heaviest part of my body. I’ve always wanted long slim legs. Even if yours are an illusion if even take the illusion! Lol

I'm doing a Mud Run in a couple weeks and I confess that I have spent more time trying to figure out what to wear that weekend vs actual training!

Got these running pants and sports bra delivered today and decided this is what I'm gonna wear. Suitable for getting muddy, yes?

I guess now I can spend more time preparing for the run! 😂

P.S. Yes, I still wear scar tape on my arms!

A couple of weeks back we were discussing quiches. My s-in-l gave me a recipe for a quiche with sweet potato for the base & beetroot & feta. Yum. Decided to make it but ended up in emergency, then surgery to graft the chunk of my thumb I sliced off with the mandolin while slicing the sweet potato. (Blood everywhere. Sigh.) Anyway my niece cooked it for me when I get home (had all the ingredients so…) but decided to dice the sweet potato & make it more like a frittata. Upped the vegetables as I always do (mushrooms, asparagus, celery, capsicum) & threw in an extra egg but this is the original recipe:

And my thumb post surgery. Such a silly thing to do but the effects are so restrictive cause can’t use my hand - & it’s my dominant hand too. Waaah!!

Yikes!! Glad you’re doing better now!
Looks good! Mandolins are so sharp and can be dangerous

  6. I had a lot of trouble shaving my underarms after weight loss. I now go get them waxed bc I just can’t seem to get everything shaving. It’s made a big diff. I just hate the in between waxing where it grows out until next appt.

Really you only needed Tylenol for the pain after the plastics? I heard from others that its very painful and they needed to take scripts of pain pills. I can not take pain pills at all due to my Chrons. This may be some great news for me. I do have a strong pain threshold so maybe its doable.

I did have the muscle tightening too. I didn’t say it didn’t hurt. It did. Was it excruciating the entire time. No. The first few days were the most painful. After that the pain was manageable w Tylenol for me. I slept in a recliner bc I had drains, couldn’t put body straight, and I also have breast lift and augmentation so sleeping in a recliner was the only way I could sleep. Like sneezing or coughing was very painful bc of the muscle tightening. For me even w the pain it was all worth it. I’m 8 mos out now.
I wasn’t trying to minimize it. It is painful but for me after a few days or so I was able to take mostly Tylenol for pain.
Other things hurt me after a little while like my back from being hunched over all the time.

Mr. went on pizza making mode and fed our little party with a whole lotta pizzas!

Each one was different and would be too much to list out the different toppings here (plus, i’m lazy!), but i will say that i had a bite of 6 of the 8 pizzas (i skipped the plain margarita one and the one with olives) and my fave was the one with the truffle bechamel base, crispy prosciutto, and grilled pineapple. They didn’t want to top any of the pizzas with some spicy anchovies before it went in the pizza oven, so i just added some afterwards. Still worked, yum!

My six bites was probably equivalent to 1 slice of pizza in total, and with all the different toppings, i just estimated 220 calories in MFP. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@WishMeSmaller: you look like you’ve been surfing for years, lol!!! Another benefit of being fabulously tall with long limbs. I tried surfing years ago but my short stubby arms were not long enough to reach over the sides of the board to paddle, lol. BTW: you are now the skinniest person in group pictures 😉

@Arabesque: yes, model that outfit please. It will look way better on YOU than the bed.

@kristieshannon: your shorts and tee may not be one of those body con dresses you rock, but you definitely look happy/content in front of the bean, and that trumps your fab bod.

@Kris77, @sillykitty : HOLY BIKINI BABES!!! 🔥🔥😍😍💪🏼💪🏼. Your boobs are mesmerizing, omg. Is it bad that I want to reach out and pet them??? (Sorry for objectifying you, but for reals, ladies, omg 😍). When pandemic ends, I vote we all meet up on a beach somewhere and strut our collective stuff.

    😂😂😂😂😂
I’ve actually mentioned it on here before about all meeting up!! It would be fun!!

Soooo .... it has been a minute!

I've been following along with everyone through the BP emails. So happy to see so many looking so happy and fabulous! It brings me joy to see so many of us continue to thrive. :)

As for me, it's cliché, but I have been living my best life.

Okay so I never cook and I thought this was going to be hard but it wasn’t bad. The filling went higher than the crust so you can’t see it in the picture but I wanted to post anyways since I finally have something to contribute. Not as good as ms sss’s but not bad for my first ever quiche I though.

I love me some quiche too, lol. The entire fam likes them as well so i can make as many as I want!!

Attaching both the crust and filling recipe I used below.

    Crust: https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/baking-basics-homemade-buttery-flaky-pie-crust/

I only used about 1/4 of the finished dough for lining a 7” deep dish spring form pan (the other 3/4 is being reserved for a peach pie im making in a couple days).

    Filling:

    https://addapinch.com/bacon-and-mushroom-quiche-recipe/

Used portobello instead, and put in a bit more than 2 cups (instead of 1.5) of a cheese mix (basically what i had in the fridge, lol; old cheddar, mozzarella and gruyere)

Oh, and because this was a deep dish, the cooking time was much, much longer (im guessing 1.5 hours total), and i covered it with foil after 30 mins and then took off foil for the last 5 mins.

    Voilà!

Thank you!!! I may just try it. Did you say peach pie?!!!!

Ok, check out this work of art!! 😂

    A Deep Dish 3-cheese-mushroom-bacon Quiche.

One slice/serving (i.e,. 1/8 of the thing): 365 calories. Ate almost an entire slice...someone swiped the outside part with the crust from my plate.

So a lift and an aug will help.

It did for me. Everyone is different in how they feel about their body. For me it helped boost my confidence after the lift and aug. I also had a full TT. No regrets. Best of luck in what you decide to do!
