  1. There are videos called Sit and Be Fit. Maybe that will help until some of the weight comes off and maybe then your feet won’t hurt as bad then and you can get in some walking outside excersise
  2. I am 5’4 1/2 starting weight was 231. Current weight is 136. I am 1 year out this month. You can do it. Stick to the plan...excersise, drink water and be patient.

    I don’t eat the skin on mine. I couldn’t stand the smell or taste for the first 11 mos after surgery. Only recently I tried it again and I can eat it again! I’m so happy bc pre surgery salmon was my fav fish! Glad I can eat it again!!

    Carbonated Beverages

    My surgeon said no carbonated beverages ever. I’m a year out and haven’t had any and I don’t plan to ever.

    Nervous surgery Monday

    I am one year out this month. No regrets. Normal to feel nervous. Try to focus on all the reasons you have chosen to do this and what your goals are! You got this!! Let us know when you can how everything went!

    Bruising like a ripe peach

    I am 12 mos post op this Monday! One year! It’s been great! I do have a lot of bruising now. Prob has a lot to do w not getting in all the vitamins that I should. I have been really good w taking vitamins until about a month or two ago. Back on track now w those. But I was bruising w taking vitamins too.

    New Convert of the Sleeved

    Mine didn’t give me NEVER foods either. But you have to make good choices if you want to see the weight go down quicker. In my opinion and experience Bad choices will lead to slow weight loss and stalls. I still give into cravings myself but know that when I do it’s only a few bites and then I need to be extra diligent with my other meals of the day. It’s a marathon not a sprint. I think it takes time for your brain to change bad habits. You can do it. Once you see your body changing I think it’ll def motivate you. I am 11 mos out and do not regret it for a second. Hang in there. We are all here on this to support one another and encourage eachother. When you’re feeling down get online and there are so many of us on here to try and help boost you up! Good luck and you can do this😊💪🏻👍🏻

    You look great! Sorry to hear you have to have another surgery but glad that it is going to fix what is going wrong. Good part is you have done this pre op diet before so you know what to expect and do. You got this!!!🙌🏻💪🏻🙌🏻

    Candy is the one thing I haven’t been able to totally give up. I don’t eat a ton but do have a little each day. I did switch from anything sweet n low to truvia. It’s pretty good. I put it in my coffee, my plain yogurt.

    I get nauseous when I get “hungry” (still don’t get really hungry and I’m 11 mos pos op). But if I don’t eat I get that sick to my stomach feeling.

    The Maintenance Thread

    Thank you for doing this thread. I just posted asking about Maintenance and didn’t see this before I did.
  21. How do you know when you’re in Maintenance? For example...if you hit your goal weight but your body keeps losing weight is it not maintenance? Is it only maintenance when you stop losing weight for a while...and if so how long is considered a while?

  23. Yum!! Love watermelon and haven’t ever seen it cut this way!! I haven’t had much luck on watermelon lately. Not very red or sweet inside. How do y’all all pick yours out? I was told to knock on it and get one w the biggest white/yellow spot on it-bc supposedly that means it sat ripening more

    Pounds lost

    I weigh myself everyday too. I feel like it helps me keep myself in check...seeing it go up or seeing it go down. I don’t think there is anything wrong w doing that everyday. We all want to keep the weight off so I think if that helps do that then I’m going to weigh everyday. 😊
