  1. I've lost 50 some odd lbs since December 10th 2018 RnY. I am biding my time for a knee replacement in one leg and have a bone disease in the other. A brace on both legs. I was doing so good then bad weather hit and put a kink in my exercise. I was just setting here disappointed in myself that I can only ride a bike approximately half a mile. Knowing later my legs are going to hurt like blazes. I keep trying and I'm told to just keep trying. When the pools open I hope to do water exercises. Don't be discouraged my friend baby steps are going to get us where we are going as long as we keep trying and not give up or give in. Slow and steady wins the race. 50+

Hi Frustr8, I enjoy C.S. Lewis and love that quote. It's all ice and snow here in Kansas right now. I am 51 and had my RnY bypbypRnYRnYg666h6h6 on 12/10/2018. Have lost around 35llbs since I started out. The inches and clothing fir are A-Mazing! Thank you for your time encouragement. Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Surgery tomorrow!!!

Remember to walk and walk. Go slow and follow your medical team's instructions for diet. Also, just breathe you are going to do great. Looking forward to seeing you on the loser's bench. God Bless! Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. I to am stepping back a little. The soft foods sound and seem so good to us but our tummies say not just yet. [emoji4] Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. I haven't lost a super large amount of weight yet but I can tell I am losing. I walk as much as possible. Take my vitamins and try to get in my protein and water the best I can. My ex used to drink so much water he would become intoxicated. To the hospital he would go to get the fluid drained with IV diuretics. I try to watch my water intake to as close as possible to standard and try not to go over too much. Keeping my water and meals completely apart but it is a constant struggle. 7. When I started soft foods the feeling and restriction is very present. I have made a couple mistakes and Tiny Tummy threw a fit. I was cutting cantaloupe and just popped a cube in my mouth. Definitely did not chew enough. It was a very eye opening experience. There are some foods I can not eat because Tiny Tummy no longer likes it. Everything in the guidelines and information becomes real and larger than life. Be patient and be aware. The change is going to become real evident. 8. Your statement is an inspiration to me. I don't start soft foods until Monday. I had the concern that my surgery wasn't working. I don't see much loss myself. I notice my clothing fitting different and I know that I lost over 20 lbs so far. Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

  10. Currently in puree stage. Working hard to get to that soft food stage on Monday. I am afraid I will still have to be careful and choose wisely. I like Premier thanks for the tip. Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Life without NSAIDS?

Ablation is A-Mazing! I had it done over 5 years ago and it was the best decision ever. I no longer have any monthly. Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Calcium Chews

My guidelines were take vitamins as soon as possible. I had mine ready to start taking when I got home. Then again I was already having problems with low vitamin levels and had taken vitamins before surgery. I take a bariatric multivitamin with iron and then calcium with D3, separately as iron and calcium don't play nice with each other and and I need all of them both. They are both chewable. I have to take potassium as well, liquid. NASTY! Necessary, but nasty. I just ordered more vitamins yesterday. Got a good deal. Buy one, get one. So two months are taken care of. Lol! Ordered from ProHealthCare. Code BOGO50 If anyone needs a break on price. I ordered some items with protein from here Bariatric Pal. Our vitamins are vital to our health. Smile and take them daily. Frustrated

When I was paid and wanted to go out and do something (b4 it was out to eat) I opted for movie theater tickets. It was a very nice "date". Well, except having to pay $5.50 for a 20oz bottle of water. The tickets were only $3.50. I needed the water so I paid for it and enjoyed my movie. Under 3 weeks left....nervous

I left the hospital with no Metformin, no Tresiba, no Trulicity, down one blood pressure pill. Can't think of anything else. They left me on Novolog sliding scale before meals as needed only. I have had exactly 3 shots since Dec 9th. All three times I had my protein shake before checking or something like that. This year is going to be so good. I feel better than I have in a very long time. Congratulations and best wishes. I am sure those medications are going bye bye as well. Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
