Frustr8 I hear you. I want one too but am afraid to push my luck. My honey made sure I have a nice blender and a hand and electric chopper. He has gone out his way to help me succeed. Don't want a bullet bad enough to upset him after all that. [emoji300] Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Is this hunger normal? I’m VERY worried
Zebby67 replied to nursenays's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@amypel: I powered through the hunger of the liquid diet with tears and worry. I started purees yesterday and my doctor was right, I can definitely tell when I am full thank goodness. I did not feel as if my surgery had been a success it has been it is just not evident 100% of the time. Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app -
Yes, my guide says at least 64oz of water a day so more is ok less not so much. Lol! I have a stock pile of sugar free water flavoring to help me get in the minimum. Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Hi, I am ten days out from RnY. I have been feeling pretty good getting almost all I need. I just feel like I am eating wrong and doing everything wrong. I walk everyday because that is the best for me in a lot of ways. The protein shakes are kinda up in the air a bit. I love the chocolate Muscle Milk. Vanilla shakes not as much. I can do any of it if it's ice cold and I don't have to sip it. It is that normal? I feel like I can drink anything too quickly. Is that normal? Sipping and I aren't the best of friends. I am used to drinking a lot and often due to diabetes and medications I have been taking. The only real thing that seems to bother me is being too close to smokers and peach yogurt. Lol! Any advice is welcome and thank you all very much. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

I had full liquid diet starting December 3rd. Clear liquids only December 9th nothing after midnight. Surgery was December 10th, clear liquids after surgery then since they were tolerated full liquid diet for two weeks and yesterday started pureed foods. A new addition. Every little bit is something to look forward to. Merry Christmas and best wishes. Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Oh my! I had purchased some protein powder from CVS and liked it before surgery. After surgery the taste was a little off and the smell was intolerable. I ended up getting a different brand and i think it is fantastic. I no longer dread getting in my protein. Our new stomas are finicky little things and determine what is tolerated and what is not. Best wishes. Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Clear liquids, full liquids, purees, soft foods, normal foods one at a time to make sure your new pouch will tolerate them. Best wishes for your success! Merry Christmas Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app -

I just graduated to puree today. I was allowed sugar free jello and pudding. In addition i love Campbell's Well Yes Sipping Soups. The combinations they come in are in my opinion fantastic. Got more today just because I like them so much. My favorite is Roasted Red Peppers and Tomato, there is roast corn and pablano peppers., Butternut squash and carrot, carrot and ginger lastly tomato and sweet basil. They are really good and added a nice variety of flavor. Good luck and Merry Christmas. Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app -
Is gastric bypass surgery reversible at all??
Zebby67 replied to iPixie's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
iPixie please seek medical attention. Better to be safe than sorry. Cold symptoms can be more or just a cold but the best way to take care of it is to see a doctor. There are many cold remedies that we should no longer use. Our stomas are fickle little things. Feel better soon. [emoji56] [emoji40] Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app -
I am a Dec 10th newbie. My requirements are 45-60 protein and 64 oz water. I try to get in the minimum, as much as possible. I do use Crystal Lite and other flavoring. Every little bit is better than less. Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

Drinking While Eating and Pouch Question
Zebby67 replied to 🅺🅸🅼🅼🅸🅴🅺's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I am taking it all in. Every since I can remember when we sat down to eat, you had something to drink. 51 year habits are very hard to break. I am still in the full liquid diet stage. Christmas Eve I get to graduate to purees. Looking forward to it. [emoji3] I have not used a straw since the day before surgery and try my best to get my protein and water in everyday. Thank you all for sharing. Every little bit is something to learn from. Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app -

Is gastric bypass surgery reversible at all??
Zebby67 replied to iPixie's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Post surgical diet? Every doctor is different. Mine has two weeks full liquid diet after surgery. They gave us booklets and sample diets to go by then post op in the hospital they gave us a diet handbook to go by with the stages outlined and what you can and cannot have. I was tested twice in the last year for Cushings because I fit the body type etc.. pointing to Cushings. Thankfully not. Had my surgery and hope to show them that is not my body type. Taking my vitamins including liquid potassium (🤢🤢) my endocrinologist told me at times Cushings masks itself as other things. Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app -

I am not sure what if any weight I have lost. There is a difference in the way my clothes fit. Trying to get in plenty of walking everyday as it is the most effective exercise I can do right now. Water and protein as close to meeting daily goal as possible. I am excited to see big results but willing to take the time to do it right. So happy to have this tool[emoji3] Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

I agree completely. We so got this with our strong will and determination. I am here anytime someone would like to talk, vent, soundboard. It is an honor to be in this age group and look forward to our success. Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app -
Absolutely. [emoji3] I am thankful all of my specialists are in a umbrella group. Everyone of them has access to my complete record and can interact and communicate. They are all very knowledgeable and advanced in their fields. The ortho doctor can scan my knee to make the new one match the original as much as possible. My bypass was listed as a robo surgery. The doctor has like 6 patents for the devise and use of it. Very high tech. I still can't get them to give me bionics though. Lol! Since I was born with the bone defect I always wanted to get bionics like the Six Million Dollar Man. One can dream. [emoji3] Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

I am not 100% sure but think some of my choices are on the stage line or a little over it. I try my best to adhere to what my medical team has set but there are times I just don't know. Like applesauce. I don't know. It gave me no problems and was very good with sweetner and cinnamon. My sugar free pudding and jello. Jello and pudding were on my pre- op liquid diet. Just keep plugging to get in protein and water. [emoji3] [emoji3] Sent from Zebby's SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
