I'm hoping to join your crew! I met my surgeon last week! I am almost thru month one of nutrition counseling and diet hoopla. So, I hope to be a November Bandster....I won't find until next month. This waiting is killer!

I meet my maybe surgeon on Thursday. I'm so anxious and excited. How do I pass the time? I made a list of things I want.... Not look around to figure out if I'm the heaviest person in the room Worry that my chair will break, squeak, crack under my weight BE DONE WITH THE CPAP!!! RUN! I WANT TO RUN! Fit comfortably in a booth Chase my daughter Take less medication Be alive when my daughter graduates, gets married, has a baby, rasies her kids Retire healthy Be truly happy At lease LIKE my body Does anyone else have a list?

Good Morning All!!! I'm very excited and honored to be part of your Bandster league some day soon! I have an appointment with a surgeon in 6 days. Yes, I'm counting down days, I just can't wait!! :w00t: I've done TONS of research and my mom is a RNY veteran so I have been around WLS for quite awhile. I am choosing the Lap Band because I have I am afraid of the malnutrition problems associated with other types of WLS and, more importantly, I want some control over my behavior! I need to learn my body's signals and listen to them. I eat...A LOT! Not just when I'm hungry but when I'm bored and when something just tastes so good that I just can't stop. I'm hoping with this tool, I can learn to have more disipline! My question is - What are the questions you didn't ask your surgeon before surgery that you wish you had?
