It's Thursday, August 27th. I have an appointment with a surgeon in exactly one week! I can't wait! I've played with this idea for so long and each time I think about it, I go on a diet and lose a few pounds (20 or so) and then give up when I hit a plateau. I don't want to give up anymore! I want to make it past the 20 pound, 50 pound and if I'm lucky enough, the 100 pound loss mark!! I'm anxious and excited. I hope this surgeon is the one! I had another appointment the same day but heard some horror stories about that surgeon and decided not to see her.My mom had RNY 7 years ago. She has had GREAT success with loss but is starting to gain some weight back. She is also having some problems in malnutrition, iron and zinc deficiencies. I never gave a ton of thought to RNY. It's too scary for me.
