    Velveeta Cheese

Technically yes but do you really want to? It's not really a good option. Choose real cheese instead of a processed cheese food byproduct.
  2. This is the only WLS group I participate in here on the Bariatric Pal forum, so I have no other experience with it.

    Hot Chip Lovers Rejoice

Yeah, I like the cheese ones that taste like the original doritos, They're very good.

    I’m ALWAYS cold

Oh please don't sleep with a hair dryer. It's not safe. Get yourself an electric blanket. There are a lot of people on here who say they are cold all the time post-WLS so it's something pretty common. Feeling faint when you stand up or move is pretty common too. What I found was that I had been on blood pressure medicine before the WLS and afterward after losing enough weight, I didn't need it anymore, and it was making me faint so I stopped taking it.

Losing control (sadness over major loss)

I'm so sorry for the loss of your grandbaby. Your surgeon's office has a counselor on staff and you could talk to him/her about it and how it triggers your eating. They should be able to help.

    Nervous

Of course it's normal. We were all nervous and scared before our surgeries wondering if it was a mistake, if we really needed it, how bad it would be afterward, etc. 1. You're going to be nauseous for 24 hours after surgery. No getting around that. 2. You MIGHT have some slight pain and some incisional pain. 3. You WILL be able to enjoy the occasional treat or cocktail at least 2-3 months after your surgery. Life will be normal for you, only you'll be smaller.
  7. You're doing GREAT! Way to go!

Liquid stage drinks that are savory

Yes, yes you can. Gatorade Zero too.
  9. Here's what my surgeon suggested: Vitamin D, B12, Mulitvitamin, Calcium Citrate.

    Pregnant!

Congratulations on the new baby! It'll all work out and you'll have the surgery after the baby is born.

    Sugar substitute

I don't understand the difference between granulated sugar substitute and confectioner sugar substitute. Well obviously I know how they're different but I don't understand when/why to use the two different types. Is one for baking?

    Green smoothies

    Absolutely - go for it!
  14. It certainly isn't "normal" and you might want to go to the ER just to make sure it's not something serious post-op.

    Rant/Vent: Failure

I'm right there with you. I had my sleeve in December of 2018, lost a fair amount of weight, not a ton, but it was slow-going and stopped after four months. I kept it off for 15 months. Then during COVID I put on 10-12 pounds and I'm having a hard time taking them off. I want to kick myself for going through major surgery only to screw it up again because I'm such a loser. But then I focus on what I need to be doing and get back on track and have been doing really well for the last 15 days. You can do it. Go back to basics. Get the protein in. Get the water in. Watch the portion sizes. You can do it!
  17. Oh that's very interesting. I'll be curious to see what others say. I don't have any experience with this.

    Not losing anything!

Let us have more information as to your pre-surgery weight, which surgery, surgery date, etc. It's all available fields to update in your profile. Then we'll be better able to understand and guide you.

    Weight losd

But you've done GREAT - 90 pounds!!! It's perfectly normal to have a stall after such a dramatic weight loss. Ride it out.

    Any March Surgeries?

That's St. Patrick's Day! I hope they give you a green hospital gown to wear.
  22. I barely liked food to begin with but that never changed post-op. I still don't really like food. I would rather live the rest of my life eating chocolate and cookies, but I know that's not reasonable or healthy. So I make myself eat food. I view it as fuel now. Food is just fuel. I don't have to enjoy it, I just have to eat it.
  23. Trust the measurements now. Your body is still healing and adjusting from major surgery. You won't know the difference yet and likely is you won't feel hungry for a couple of weeks. Just measure and eat/drink and take care.
  24. I have gotten samples from them in the store before, but it might vary store to store. I am a GNC member and they send me a quarterly sample box of items for me to try. I use the GNC Lean Shake in chocolate.
  25. I think GNC will give you samples before you buy.
