Mine is April 30th. I’m having the sleeve done. Getting ready to start my liquid diet before surgery in a couple days. I’m a whole bunch of emotions. Nervous, excited, scared, anxious. Just wanna get it done and move forward

He does everything by the way!!! He does the band, sleeve, bypass, switch, balloon also. He works with one other surgeon but I forget his name.

I’m in the process now of going through with Dr. Christopher Joseph out of Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox Illinois. Did a lot of research and seems to be the best around in a state of the art hospital and he runs the entire practice. He does seminars every Wednesday at 5:45. His practice is called BMI surgery.

Initial consultation, then cardiologist to check heart for clearance for surgery. Then pulmonary testing (respiratory) for clearance. Dieticians classes on learning to eat right after surgery. Phycologist test before surgery also. Two weeks before surgery have to go on a liquid diet to shrink the liver so that the surgeons can move around inside of you. I just started the process also myself about two weeks ago. All together I was told by the surgeon it will be about 12 weeks before the scheduled surgery and about 2-4 weeks off work. I’m a garbage man so I’m leaning towards 4 since it’s so physical.
