    November 2018 Sleevers!?!?

I’m also having a hard time with heartburn, I have to take Prilosec twice a day, but I was told it could be up to 6 months before it starts to subside and I notice if I forget to take it twice a day it doesn’t affect me so I’m hoping that’s a sign that it’s easing?!

I’m also 7 weeks out & have lost about 22 lbs. I keep trying to avoid the scale because of fluctuations. I’ll lose nothing one week & the 5 lbs the next & then gain a lb or 2. I don’t want to cause extra stress by continuously checking but my work desk is literally right beside a scale. 😩
  3. I was going to say my plan is exactly the same & then I realized your profile says harrisburg, did you do surgery at Hershey? That’s where I had mine done!
  4. I can say the first week I was an emotional mess full of regrets. With that being said, by week 2/3 I was feeling SO much better & my mood swings calmed down. I was sleeved on 11/19, so I’m not completely cleared for all foods yet, but most I can eat & my energy is picking up & I feel like I’m back to feeling “normal” & I was able to get back to work 2 1/2 weeks later. It gets better, hang in there!! It’s frustrating when you don’t feel like yourself!

    November 2018 Sleevers!?!?

I had my post op appt yesterday, I was sleeved on 11/19 & lost 17lbs! I was genuinely surprised. I know my clothes are fitting looser, but I’m trying not to focus too much on my weight right now and focus on more of the nutrition. I can’t believe how much more energy I have and how much better I feel walking. I’m so excited to see how the next year goes. Has anyone made any yummy recipes for the soft stage? I feel like I’ve been boring and sticking to chicken, cheese sticks, yogurt & chili mostly. I need a little variety the next few weeks!

    November 2018 Sleevers!?!?

@meljbolles I am allowed to start week 4. I had liquids week 1 & pureed weeks 2 & 3. Next Monday I’ll be able to start the softs! I’m excited and nervous about the big step! However, with chicken salad going to well, I’m hoping the transition isn’t rough on my belly. ☺️

    November 2018 Sleevers!?!?

I’m not sure how to respond to people on here. 😄 I am able to tolerate the refried beans with enchilada sauce & cheese, chicken salad, a buffalo chicken salad, some cheesecake protein pudding type thing & I tried a little bit of mashed potatoes, but I’ve been mainly rotating through chicken salads & beans! I’ve tried egg salad.. but it was store bought and made me nauseous.. I think it would’ve fared much better had I made it myself!

    November 2018 Sleevers!?!?

Hi everyone, new to this site! I was sleeved on 11/19/18. My energy is coming back & I’m able to drink & eat my puréed foods without the feeling in my sternum, but struggling to get the full 64 oz in. I think my biggest struggle is that I feel fine & have to remind myself I still cannot eat yet. I miss chewing!
