No pizza for 4-5 months???
Tiffany RNY replied to pdamoci's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Since you pointed out that she already had the surgery, I took a look at her recent posts to see how she was doing. Her last post (from December 15th) began with, “I am starting to regret that I had this surgery”... I hope she’s been doing well since then, and does great going forward. But I think this shows my questions could of had some merit. -

No pizza for 4-5 months???

I figured my post would get this reaction, but I have to disagree with you. I think saying “I don’t think I can go 4-5 months without pizza” is a negative mindset. The reality for anyone that thinks that is, “yes you can go without pizza for 5 months”. Not saying that you can’t have pizza or whatever junk food for the rest of your life. That’s not realistic. But if your dr says you can’t have _____ food for X amount of months, and the response is “I’m unable to do that”, I think it’s fair to question if that person is ready to take on a life changing surgery. -

No offense, but are you sure this surgery is right for you? And that you’re mentally prepared for surgery? -
I know how you feel, I have a 3 year old.

I can’t wait. I would have done it months ago, but my insurance requires 6 months of nutrition classes. All I have left are the 3 life skills classes, one more nutrition class, and the medical clearance. I’m having bypass, btw.

I have Dr. Halbert too. I live in New Castle. Have you received your date yet? Curious how far out surgery is scheduled for after getting insurance approval. My medical clearance appointment is on January 2nd. Hoping for a late January surgery, but that might be too optimistic.
