Yay we twinning. Lol. How's your preop diet going?
-
Yeah so far it's been quite hard for me as well. I've been drinking like there is no tomorrow to fill myself up and trying not to think about hunger. Thank you for the encouragement.
-
Good for you. That's amazing. I'm excited to change my life as well for the better. It's been a long time coming. Thanks for the encouragement. 😁

That's a nice variety of foods. I'm so happy you're doing so well and not having any problems I hope to be the same way. 😁

Medications after surgery?????? Please advise
Linda72 posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
So when I went to my doctor the other day I was informed that when I am discharged from the hospital I will be sent home with 3 medications. One for pain, one for nausea and preloaded injections that I will have to give myself in my stomach to prevent blood clots for 10 days following surgery. Has anyone else had these injections?????? I'm freaking out since hearing that. I hate needles. Mind you I have several tattoos. Lol. Medical needles are just different especially if I have to give them to MYSELF.....😭😩🤯😱🤪 -
Hello Peytonkr. That's exactly how I felt for dinner last night I couldn't wait to eat. I didnt care what was in that dish. Lol. If this is that bad I can only imagine how it will be postop. I can only have liquids for 2 weeks. I'll get through it but time can't go fast enough for me. How are you feeling? Are you back home? Are you eating solid foods yet? Hope all is well....
-
Yeah I figured it will be easier as the days go on. Initially it was 14 days but I lost weight and they made it 10 days. After surgery it's only liquids for 2 weeks. Everyone is different as well as every surgeon so preop and postoperative meal plans seem to all be different. Good luck on Tuesday. I go in on the 14th. I can't wait it's been a long 10 months of preparation......

Oh wow let me not complain. Lol. How do you feel your holding up on day 10? When is your surgery?

That's amazing. I'm so happy for you and I can't wait to join the losing team. I'm sure at this point scrambled eggs sound great. Lol. What have you been eating the last 4 weeks?

Nikki my surgeon & his nurse told me the same thing. The more you walk the better it is. Thank you for confidence boost😁

Yay October 14th. I start my preop diet on Friday not looking forward to it either. I have to stay focused and constantly remind myself why I'm doing this....

Thank you 😁

Omg so happy to hear that. Everybody talks about the gas pain being horrific. That is the part that has me nervous. Other then that I'm excited to begin the journey it's been a long 10 months to get to this point. Where you able to take something for the constipation?
-
Woo hoo congratulations. My preop diet starts Friday and surgery is on October 14th. Good luck with everything
