Wow 2 1/2 years then I guess I shouldn't be complaining about 6 months. Cancelled for missing instruments & extreme heat never heard of that before. I'm sure you are very happy that it is finally over with. Thank you for the well wishes. I can't wait to be on that road as well 😁

Oh ok that's great. I'll be happy when mine is behind as well. I will definitely keep you posted

I know me too. It feels like I've been going through this forever since my insurance had 6 months of requirements before they would approve.
-
Good luck with everything. Let me know how everything goes😁

Thank you so much for the well wishes. I'm very excited. I'm sure as the date gets closer I will be nervous but for now I'm ok trying to just enjoy what's left of summer. 😁

That's what you have to do. Just relax and enjoy your stay.

That's exactly what you should be doing. Enjoying yourself. I was trying to get away myself but it wasn't able to happen.

Good luck

Every insurance company is different. I had several things to do during the 6 month period before everything could be submitted to the insurance company. My journey began back in January with my first appointment with my surgeon. I then had to see a dietitian for 6 months in a row and could not miss an appointment or I would have to start all over again. I had to see a psychiatrist, get an endoscopy, see a vascular surgeon, chest xray and attend seminar in the hospital. My paperwork was submitted and approved within 2 weeks. The only things I have left to do are another appointment with surgeon and appointment with my internist to have ekgs and bloodwork 2 weeks before surgery. My surgery is on September 23 😁 What does your health insurance require?

Good afternoon. This will be my first weight loss surgery. I had a friend who had issues with the lap band as well and had to have it removed. My other friend had the sleeve in 2014 and she looks amazing. She is half of her old self. She went in for surgery at 300lbs and is presently 150lbs. I was diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2015 and between chemo, menopause and medication I have gained 100lbs. Since my breast cancer is estrogen positive I needed to do something about my weight and that's when i decided on surgery after many failed attempts of doing it on my own. January of 2019 I started the process since my insurance had all these requirements I needed to fulfill before getting an approval. My preop appointment is on September 5, preop diet starts on September 12 and surgery is on September 23.
