Anybody scheduled for March 2019?? I just got my surgery date of March 5th!! So excited. They had the end of February available but because of my job, I had to go with March.

I’m currently on 60mg of cymbalta and 300mg of extended release Wellbutrin. My psychiatrist said I need to stay on these for the time being. I haven’t asked my surgeon yet about taking these after surgery. Can anyone tell me there experience with taking anti depressants after surgery?

Thank you!

I’m on day 11 of my liquid diet. I’m so excited for surgery Tuesday. I also dreamt I had food in my mouth and panicked and spit it out lol.

Awesome! For me it was fried chicken on the boat yesterday lol. It’s what we always eat at the sandbar, and I couldn’t. I will gladly be 13 pounds lighter instead. -

I’ve completed 6 days of my liquid diet and am down 13 pounds so far! So happy. After day 3, I really turned the corner and feel great. Smells of certain foods have made me want the food, but it’s an emotion not an actual hunger. Trying to recognize that. -
That’s great! After being in these forums it definitely seems like my surgeon is on the more stringent side of things.

They can. It is 7% of your weight the day you start the shakes, when you are there. So mine was 19 pounds. They said you have to get as close to that number as you can, and if you don’t, the doctor can postpone your surgery. According to them if you are doing exactly as they say you won’t have a problem losing that amount. If I do exactly as they say I better get the surgery no matter what lol. That’s how I feel.
-
I know. It’s crazy. The paperwork literally says no broth, and the dietician emphasized that during the class.

My doctor requires you to purchase the optifast shakes directly from him, at your two week pre-op appointment. You sign a form with the amount of weight you are, the weight required to lose by surgery day and that you understand you can only have the shakes, water, crystal light and sugar free jello.

Recidivist, my headache started last night at the end of Day one and has continued this morning. Yesterday I didn’t get too hungry but today at work is hard. I was dreaming of broccoli last night lol. -
Sorry! Just realized this says bypass. I’m getting the sleeve. I’m on day 1 of my liquid diet. Clearly struggling with brain function lol.

March 5th here! -
March 5th here! I’ve been dieting as well. I’m down 17 pounds since my first visit with the nutritionist in October.

I live in the Florida Keys. I’m going to be having the sleeve surgery on March 5th with Dr. De La Cruz Munoz at university of Miami. Up until recently no one in the keys did the surgery. There is one dr now but our hospital is horrific and I would never even consider it. So I will be traveling 3 hours for my surgery. I have been going back and forth to Miami since my initial visit in late August. Just curious if anyone else has had the procedure or is in the process in south Florida.

Am I the first one with a March 2019 date?? Just found today I’m scheduled for March 5th! I’ll be having the procedure at the University of Miami. I live in Key West, Florida. No doctors here perform the procedure on our little island. I’ll be traveling 3 hours to have the surgery. So excited!!
