    oh here's one....buy matching panties and bras...ya know, the kind that ARENT GRANNY PANTIES!!! and c'mon ladies, we all know they make plus sized G-strings...but c'mon, there's really nothing attractive about plus sized g-strings.... CANT WAIT to get outta the granny panties and into some DECENT SIZED panties that have the cute matching bras! FROM A REGULAR DEPT STORE!

    reading the info on the link you gave us, i kinda feel like i'm pretty much close to being on the atkins diet already. i steer clear of most WHITE products, ie; bread, rice, Pasta, and all sodas and i'm constantly watching my carbs. i also like to try to eat the "negative" calorie typed vegies and of course, i get in my Protein and daily multi Vitamin. i do slip every blue moon, but think its ok to treat yourself on occasion as long as i don't overdo it. with that being said, i think im gonna pass on the atkins challenge and just work on the challenges i have going on right now. 1 more challenge and i'm scared i'll go on challenge overload and give up! lol..... i'm currently in 3 or 4 challenges....lol...see, i can't even remember the exact number. there's this "sweetheart goal", then the "year of miles" challenge, and i'm also in a jan-june challenge as well. perhaps when i complete or get closer to completing my 14lbs on THIS goal then i will try something new. i just don't want to run myself ragged worrying about meeting or beating THAT many challenges/goals at once. THANKS for including us in the invite though and please keep em coming! there may be something else out there that we haven't tried yet or something that just sparks my attention. xoxo, christie

    The Sweetheart Goal!

    i haven't done very well today....i was up w/my son last night - he was sick - and then at church today for "Family Day", which means dinner on the grounds....and since i'm on the Kitchen Committee, of course ALL the food passes right in front of my face! Luckily, we don't eat until the very last and there's hardly ever much left....BUT, i totally carbed out today and feel bad about it, but i have to say, the chicken & dumplings that some lil old lady made were out of this world delicious! i don't do it very often, so i think that sometimes we have to allow ourselves a lil something different, just can't get back into the carb addiction routine! so, i didn't do too too great today, but tomorrow is a new day. i also didn't exercise at all today. after church i came home and took a 5hr nap!!! remember, i was up most of the night w/a sick kiddo, but now i'm afraid i won't be able to sleep much tonight and then i'll be too tired to exercise tomorrow! i gotta get my schedule down right, sleep and food schedule that is. i didn't weigh today...i was scared too!!! cuz i ate ice cream last night at a get together with friends and well, i really THOUGHT i wanted the ice cream, but when i was eating it, i really DIDNT want it...but then there's that Head Game that tells me i'm wasting it if i don't eat it....and not only that, trying to fit in with everyone else so as not to drawl attention to myself or to make others whisper about how glad they are that they can still eat "goodies"....very self conscience about others right now for some reason. never have cared in the past....wonder why i care now??? xoxo, christie KEEP PUSHING TOWARDS THAT GOAL LADIES, I KNOW WE CAN DO IT! WE JUST GOTTA STICK TOGETHER FOR SUPPORT AND PUSH OURSELVES TO MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS!
  7. is there a way you can request a different nurse/fill technician? or maybe next time you make an appointment make one with THE DOCTOR specifically. tell them you want to see YOUR DR., not his/her nurse. its your body, and the dr. had time for you BEFORE surgery, so the doctor should be able to find time for you AFTER surgery as well. as for me, i just had my 4th fill and either i'm too restricted, or i'm at my sweet spot....either way, i'm happy with 5cc's right now. i can eat 1/8-1/4 cup of food DEPENDING on what it is. something like chicken, 1 bite and i'm done. popcorn, i can eat at least a 1/3 cup or more....depends on the food density like the posters above mentioned. i stear clear of bread, rice, and Pasta now that i'm more restricted....found out real quick that its just not worth it. hope you get better results at your next appt...until then, DO NOT GIVE UP! this is a life long journey and this seems to just be a bump in the road. plus, you'll have great advice to pass on to others whenever this situation is done and over with for you....so keep your head up! xoxo, christie

    chocolate Snaps, don't get discouraged! And remember, weigh first thing in the morning right after you pee! BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE....and make sure you aren't fully dressed yet, you'd be amazed how much clothing weighs! i weighed with and without shoes one day and i was astonished that the shoes i had on weighed a full 5lbs!!! i'm happy to take my shoes off at any time to weigh now! its not an inconvience when the scale reads less! also, i have been counting calories, especially watching my carbs, and working out ALOT. i just completed 2.10miles on the elliptical this morning. OH, i bought one of those blue stretchy things you wear around your waist that is supposed to help you lose inches at walmart in the fitness section for like 5 bucks.....anyhow, i wore it last night just while cleaning house and i was thinking no way this thing works....but whenever i took it off it was COVERED in dripping sweat from my mid section...and i didn't even feel it while cleaning!!! i don't measure inches, i should, but i didn't start out measuring, but nonetheless, sweat = less fat to me. today i wore it while doing my elliptical and lemme tell you....i was disgustedly happy with how soaking and literally sweat running and dripping off of it when i took it off. just thought i'd share my new lil secret with ya'll. maybe something you might want to invest in since its cheap and so far, seems to work. now i just wish i would've bought the shorts so i could slim up my THIGHS!!! and yes, they do make them. and yes, they make em for OUR sizes! plus, they're stretchy and comfy. xoxo, christie

    THANKS! I'm still feeling the "sweet spot" @ 5cc's which has been a huge help....and of course, I will always give credit to God for helping me stay moving on the elliptical! Everytime i'm on that darned thing i'm praying for strength, endurance, motivation, and stamina to get through the workout, and God always provides!     well, if you ever come across a FASHION BUG stop and shop! its my all time FAVORITE place to shop. they carry both regular and plus clothing but have EQUAL amounts of BOTH! and the prices, well, you just cannot beat them! oh, i have an nsv to share w/ya'll...i know its not the right thread...but, today, while shopping @ the fashion bug, i bought new panties! and i got to buy a size 9 instead of a size 10! i have been in size 10 panties for as long as i can remember and well, i was just excited bc all my panties have been baggy on me for the past month but i kept putting off buying any bc i didn't want the 9's to be too tight....but i finally broke down and said, no more saggy undies! it is time! had to share! xoxo, christie

    i can top em all!!! i once heard..... "you're so pretty,.....yea, i'm not really into the thinner chicks!" ok, if that was a lame attempt at a come on line i still wasn't impressed and sooooo turned off immediately! why not just come out and say, "i like fat chicks and you're a fatty mc-fat-ster!" ?!?!

    i LOVE the new scales! lol...but my hubby doesn't. this is the FIRST TIME that i have EVER weighed less then him! EVER. even whenever we were dating i always outweighed him by at least 15-20lbs if not more. today i weighed 226.5 and he weighed in the 240's. he isn't banded, but he hasn't been overweight his entire life like me either. when i met him he wore a size 27" waist! and i was probably a size 12/14. hey georgia girl, i'm just curious....do you have a FASHION BUG where you live? its a clothing store.

    you must not be banded as tight as i am.....bc i couldn't eat 8 chicken nuggets if i wanted too. before i was filled to 5cc i probably could've though. is it just me though, or does chicken tend to fill you up alot faster? i wonder if its the consistency of it? chicken nuggets aren't as hard to go down but just regular chicken is what i'm referring too. also, have you ever had anything get stuck and then come back up? i think they refer to it as PB? i've never PB'd before, but i have felt like something was just kinda stuck sitting there and then finally slowly passed, but its miserable waiting for it to go down. now that i'm at 5cc i'd be pushing it to get 3 chicken nuggets down though, probably only 2 and a couple of fries. but like i said, last week before my 4th fill, i could've probably had at least 6 easy. xoxo, christie

    The Sweetheart Goal!

    ok, and here's what was on my "menu" today....what i've eaten today: Breakfast: sugar free Jello and Water (i was REALLY tight this morning) Lunch: 3/4 of a mexican pizza from taco bell (my excuse, running errands!sorry) Dinner: 1/4cup hamburger helper I KNOW, I KNOW, NOT THE BEST CHOICES TODAY, BUT I HAVE A REALLY HARD TIME ON THE WEEKENDS (FRI-SUN) BC WE'RE ALWAYS ON THE GO RUNNING ERRANDS, SHOPPING, ETC.... so my choices weren't great, but my intake wasn't that bad, hoping that mixed w/a little exercise later tonight, crossing my fingers, i will still be able to see the scales go down a bit....even an once or two after my meals today would be a happy weigh in for me! trying to stay positive! xoxo, christie

    well, since being filled to 5cc (my 4th fill) on wednesday, i can say i really think i finally hit my sweet spot! weighed in this morning at 226.5! so i am down a total of 6.5lbs towards the "sweetheart goal"!!! i'm so happy to be halfway there and really don't think i could've done it without the help of the band and the recent fill!!! feels so awesome to be in the 220's! can't wait to hit my sweetheart goal of 219. what will ya'll weigh once you hit your "sweetheart goal" and how much further do you have to go to get there? here's my stats.... "Sweetheart Goal" starting weight: 233.0 current weight: 226.5 DOWN: 6.5 lbs. TO GO: 7.15 lbs.

    WELCOME TULIPSTAR!!! oh and i bought some new weight scales today and took all my clothes off and i weight 229!!!! i was sooo depressed at the dr yesterday for weighing 230.9.....i have worked so hard to get into the 220's and today this was such a motivation to keep on pushing! ok, so far for my "Sweethear Goal" i am down 4 lbs and have 10more to go! how's everyone else doing??? xoxo, christie
  22. ok, this is a question for all you ladies still cursed with your monthly period. i weighed at the dr. this morning and also had my 4th fill....BUT, today was also the 1st day of my cycle and well, i'm kinda hoping that maybe i weigh slightly less bc of me being on my period. so the question is this... HOW MUCH EXTRA WEIGHT DO YOU THINK YOU CARRY DURING YOUR MONTHLY MENSTRAUL CYCLE? iS IT POSSIBLE THAT I WEIGHT A FEW POUNDS LESS IF I TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THAT ITS MY TIME OF THE MONTH???

  24. i just had my 4th fill today and am now at 5cc. she put it up to 5.5cc but i couldn't swallow the Water down. so she took 1/2 cc out and left me at 5cc and the water went down very smoothly. already today i can tell that its taking me alot less to hit that feeling of saity/satisfied/full stage. i have NEVER pb'ed, although i'm not sure what that stands for, i know what it means. nothing has ever had to come up and nothing has ever gotten stuck. the restriction i have today feels more like the restriction i had immediately post op when i was on my liquid and mushy diet. i HOPE this is my sweet spot, even if temporarily, bc i had virtually no restriction on the last 3 fills. xoxo, christie

    please mention to me again what type/brand of scales you have, and where you got them and how much you paid????? also, are they digital? i really want the digital kind so that the reading is more accurate to the pound. i've gotta get me some scales this weekend. my other ones were thrown away! lol...thanks to DH. they were crappy scales anyhow and not that accurate....but i think its time for a new set of scales!
