Surgery date before Insurance approval
Thoneybear replied to Jennylo201's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got my date before insurance approval and the actual approval came in the day before surgery. That is the way my surgeon does it. -
Congratulations!!

Tricare Select...Does it cover the Sleeve?
Thoneybear replied to thatonegirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi, I was just sleeved in November under Tricare Select. I am not sure if the regions are different, but I am east coast region. The only tricare requirement was three months of physicians assisted weight loss. Through the surgeon I had to do a nutrition consult and visit with a psychologist. Tricare did cover the psych visit but not the nutritionist visit. I hope this information helps. -
Congratulations on your surgery! I am so happy you had a good surgery experience. Have fun cleaning out the closets:)

It usually only takes about 15 minutes for me to get full, even with taking small bites and chewing well. Yes we have got this! Hopefully you will get some relief when you see your surgeon. Are you on anti nausea meds? My surgeon told me to call in if I needed them. Maybe that could help.

Good luck today!

I am 43 and was sleeved on the 28th. So far everything is going well and it has been a positive experience. The thing I miss most is being able to drink large amounts of water, but I will keep sipping!

Way to go! You look amazing! -
Every six hours would be a lot! I have not tried isopure, but if it is a clear, maybe you could mix it with some crystal light. I just started using genepro and it is nice to be able to mix it in my crystal light..that way I am getting protein and liquid at the same time:)

You look gorgeous! This has definitely motivated me:)

I am feeling pretty good. Still a little sore and tired, but happy that I finally did it. Looking forward to figuring out how to rock the full liquid phase!

I was also sleeved the 28th. Hope you are doing well.

I am pretty new to the forum and to this new way of life:) I live in North Carolina.

So happy they got you back and you didn't have to wait long. Hope you feel better soon:)

I was also sleeved on the 28th and I have been able to drop down to using the pain meds in the evening only. I feel minimal pain most of the day, but trying to get in the bed in the evening is painful. I think I will try to just use Tylenol this evening to see if that can settle the pain.

Thereamtz, I am going through something similar. I was sleeved on 11/28 and I dealt with a very sore throat the first couple of days. That has gotten better. I am still burping everytime I drink, and I am not able to get more than 12 ounces of liquids in. Hopefully it will get better soon. I will say that walking had seemed to help a lot. I hope you stay to feel better soon.

I am feeling the same. I have been able to drink a little more today though, so hopefully it will get better day by day.

Good luck to everyone having their surgery today!
