Well I have been so bad of late,i have been to embarresed to come in here. Had more taken out. so for the past few months have had 2mls, then 1 ml then 2mls again. i cant stand it i want to be back up to 6 mls where i was before, but when ever my dr fills me up to quickly i just get soooo stuck that i cant even swallow my own saliva to the point that he has to remove again. So basically i feel as though i am starting the whole process again. and i have put on over 2kgs it is really effecting my self esteem and my confidence. i dont want to be fat again. but i seem to be making wrong food choices again. i just need to be good and stay focused, i have an appointment on the 7th may for another fill. but i will see if he will see me every 2 weeks untill i get back up to where i was. I have to do something and fast.

bindi2203 replied to lellow's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Lellow way to go girl. you seriously ROCK... Well i am back down to 50.08kg so back to where i was a couple of weeks ago. Went to coldplay concert last night and a few little treats, but over all reasonalby well behaved. Good luck to all.....jo...... -
Im happy for you, i wish i had the same success.... I am just feeling very down with mine at the moment. got up to 6ms in my band and one stuck episode, that was sever, so had to get 4 mls taken out. so was back down to 2mls. went back last week thursday where he put another 2 mls in to bring me back up to 4 mls.. and 3 days later ate some toast with tuna, and got it stuck again. but instead of just pb it had to go and swell again to the point that i could not swollow my own saliva again. so had to go back in 8 hours later for him to turn around and remove another 3mls.... why cant i just get something stuck like other ppl and move on from it. why does it have to fully close off so that nothing can get through. I am now 6 months along in my journey, back down to 1ml in my band i feel depressed and annoyed with myself at the moment. When i was at 4 mls before i never ever got any thing stuck, i could eat any thing i wanted and did. I guess my big fear now is that every time i get something stuck what if it does this again. has this happened to any one else, and if so how did you go about changing it or working your way back up to a good restriction, my fear of getting something stuck is so overwhelming at the moment, that i actually have a fear of eating.. cheers to all. jo....

Well This week i have been a bad girl. I guess it was not the 1/2 box of cadburys favourites. or the thins, light and tangy chips, they did not tie me up and force themselves down my throat. No!!!!. Could it have been that i did not exercise all week. MMmmm I wonder, who knows, it will remain a mystery to me. Any whoooo!. Last week. 50.8 kg This week. 51.2 kg + 400gms I hope all have done very well this week, and Lellow if you are at goal this week i will of coarse after congratulating you, will then proceed to kick myself. Cheers all and good luck...... Jo........

I was too tight and had to have 4mls taken out i was that swollen, and couldnt keep any thing down, i am now back down to 2mls in my band, and the surprising thing is, that i am over my plataeu and have started losing again, The post traumatic stress, i have over the too tight, has made me be super concious of my portions right now, so i cant complain, i feel great, and only have 7kgs to lose till i get to goal now. 15lbs.
-
When i found out last week that lellow is nearly at goal, it somehow unleashed my competative streak and i have been very good this week. last week. 52.9 kg (116lbs) this week. 51.8kg (114lbs). I hope i am just as good next week. good luck to you all

bindi2203 replied to mrskrzyz's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Oh i feel sorry for your dissapointment, but seriously it is a very minor thing to have repaired, do you remember the wife, out of every body loves raymond, i remeber seeing pics of her at the beach after her tummy tuck, and she didint even have a belly button. nothing, but now it is fixed, im sure once all the swelling goes down, and you see your flat stomach you will feel a little better. good luck -
your with cirlce of care balkham hills are you not. My work collegue that goes to that clinic, has 9 mls in her band. she has no probs with it.... good luck

are you at your goal weight already, or still have some more to lose. How much weight did you lose all up, and would you do it again, surgery if given the chance.

you are so beautiful and humble an inspiration to us all. you deserve every success, you have just given not only myself, but every other reader here hope and faith, that it can and does work, you are living proof. Thank you. -
With out sounding rude.... Get a life. Now is the time to go and do all the things that you dreamed of doing before you were banded, your fat days. im sure doing all those things, and belive me there should be a good size list, that should keep you busy for a few months. then after that, you can re-group and look for something else to occupy your time. I dont know start a support group, hold coffee mornings, walking groups and exercise groups, a recipe swap meet, where you bring along a plate of your fav band freindly foods, then swap with others. The list of things to do is endless. Have an affair. sponsor a child in a third world country. Go back to university and get a degree. take up belly dancing, or pole dancing, write a book. get a tatoo. get your belly button pierced. take up hip hop dance classes. I really hope you find something in your life, that gives you happiness and satisfaction. good luck.

What you eat on an average day?
bindi2203 replied to AngelWithHorns's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi i am almost 6 months out now. I eat i guess pretty much normal foods. like i did before, just not the same amounts. i pretty well now just eat off a bread and butter plate, and i find most times that satisfys me. For Breakfast i eat things like rolled oats, or poached egg on toast. or it could be friut and yogurt, what ever i feel like. lunch is usually a salad of some discription, and at the moment i am really into ones made with this really nice and easy low fat dressing, It is basically. 1/4 c white vinegar 1/4 cup of equall sugar ( not packed tight) or splenda a few drops of sesame seed oil, no more than 1 tsp total 1/4 c Water 2 tbs soy sauce. pinch of salt and that is it. put it into a shaker, and shake it very well. I also add some small diced fresh chilli, and i love a bit of bite, I tend to chop the vegies very small into it, as though making a salsa. some of the things i add are as follows, just to give you some ideas. 2x fresh truss tomatoes 1/2 avacardo 1/4 spanish onion finely diced 1/2 cobb of fresh corn I shave them off the cobb with a sharp knife. bunch of asian salad greens, or lettuce what ever you like, also chopped good handful of fresh coriander leaves, chopped. 1/4 red capsicum 1/4 green capsicum or yellow what every i have on hand 3-4 button mushrooms 1/2 lebanese cucumber diced small i also add a good handfull of mixed sunflower and sesame seeds. just before adding the dressing. I find this goes really well with grilled fish or chicken. or some times i will have it just by itself with some cut up egg or shaved ham for the Protein. I hope you guys enjoy. also i make it up and there is always some left over for the next day. it tastes just as good as left overs. cheers. -
sounds very good idea too me. i will be a definate will be nice to meet some of you guys. thanks.

I also needed an unfill, and i am scared my band may have slipped because of it....
bindi2203 posted a topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I too went for a band adjustment last thursday. Had 5 mls in my band and had on 3 occasions got something stuck, told doctor, but because i had only lost 800g he decided to put a full 1ml in. so that night had sushimi for dinner no problems, but however next day at work, i stupidly took a mouth full of hard boiled egg. which i had never had any problems with before, and there it was. STUCK!!!!!!! So after putting up with the pain, untill it was unbearable, and quite evident that this was not going to go down or through, i proceeded to remove the culprit, the only way i know. But that did not seem to relieve the uncomfortable feeling, and nothing would go down, Water, my own saliva, nothing. So called the Dr and spoke to his nurse, she told me that he would be in at 2.30pm. this was at 9am my call, so i basically vomited, Pb gagged you name it all day untill i got into his office which was closer to 3pm by the time i saw him. I lost count of how many times it happened, it was a stinking hot day here in sydney over 40 out here and i had not kept any fluids down, or been able to get any through my band since 6am that morning. So any way Dr removed the full ml he had put in the night before. Did the water sipping every thing felt a little easier, the water went through. So off i went back home. Half way there in the car, I had to pull over the water i was drinking would not go through again. Any way to make a very long story short. i had to go back into office again where he then removed another 3 mls, so all up i had 4 mls removed last friday. I am now back down to 2 mls in my band with no restriction what so ever, but still to scared to eat too much as i feel somewhat traumatised from my over fill experience. I did go onto fluids for 3 days, then introduced mushies again for another day before i tried real food. So I hope i have not slipped my band. but to be honest i dont know how it could go through all that pounding it got that day, and still stand up to it. but here is hoping and praying. Any way good luck to all the fellow auguast bandsters, i hope you are all having great success. Jo. -

Fresh fruit with that delicious gippsland yogurt. about 2 tbs A tin of baked Beans. A tuna salad. And if i am not feeling particularly hungry, i will have a tony ferguson cream of chicken Soup with piri piri spice added for a bit of kick.
