  1. See my post from the other day on exactly this topic. My weight loss chart what breaking a 2 month stall 6 months out looks like.

    My @ss hurts 😢

I noticed it within a few weeks when driving for more than an hour it would become quite uncomfortable to sit. I had no ass at all to begin with (I sat it off my mom would always say) However I have no issues with sitting in my chair at work. When I do get the pain from driving its right at the coccyx (tailbone). I did some searching a few months ago when I noticed it and there have been others mentioning it.

    3 Month Stall. WTF?!

Thats a fair point and wont disagree. There has been a slight calorie creep for me from July vs September but no change at all for me since then. Call it 800-1200 vs 1000-1400. Maintenance at current weight is 2500 at no activity

    3 Month Stall. WTF?!

My point is its not easy to cut out 500 calories a day if you are anywhere near following the plan. This is not like non bariatrics that are eating 2500 calories a day and want to cut to 2000. Its MUCH harder to cut 500 calories when you are eating substantially less. Ive been on the same routine since around mid July.

    3 Month Stall. WTF?!

I have good news for you. I was sleeved on April 29th and I hit a low on November 4. I spent 2 months in a sideways range and only recently broke it. See the chart below what a 2 month stall 6 months out looks like! What am i doing differently, absolutely nothing I think my body just needed to consolidate after months of such rapid loss. @Fatboyslim1 while true that cutting 500 calories a day will result in 1lb/week of loss I highly doubt anyone 9 months out has the ability to cut out 500 calories a day unless they are somehow over say 1700 a day (unlikely)

    Quantity of food

Tinesia That sounds miserable. Like is that sustainable for you in the long term? Where is the animal protein?

    April 2019 Surgeries!

Eggs were tough. I can do 2 fried but only 1 hard boiled. Scrambled still gives me fits so I avoid it.

    Quantity of food

at one month out you will be in serious pain if you push it. Search this forum for the "week 3 stall" everyone has it
  9. Im not a model citizen, never have been. I still make poor choices but the quantity is always small. Im at 1000-1400 calories depending if there was some unhealthy splurge. Very little exercise through the week but am very active on weekends.
  10. I hit my low point at 6 months out and spent the past 2 months basically sideways. Around a week ago the scale did start to finally move. Attaching my weight chart so you can see what it looks like. I do shakes to supplement but its only a few days a week and never more than 1 per day.
  11. Its either that or let being morbidly obese kill you off slowly. It was an easy trade for me.

    April 2019 Surgeries!

How is team April 2019 doing? Down 106 still would like to get down 30 more before vacation the last week of April.
  13. I hate this attitude and it bothers me more every time I read it. If it works for you so be it but stop promoting to to everyone else. You can still eat a lot of things in moderation. Ive said it dozens of times nobody got fat eating a slice of cake they got fat eating the whole damn cake.

    Labs after your RNY bypass

I posted this a few months ago. Had 6 month physical yesterday with my primary physician. Pre surgery I had high blood pressure, high liver enzymes, high A1C (Type 2 Diabetic), suffered regularly from Gout. All of these are now normal. My Test came back too high and my BUN/Creatine Ratio was too low. I was concerned that my test was too low! TESTOSTERONE, TOT.,S. This result is high 1303.0 ng/dL (249.0-836.0 ) BUN/Creat Ratio This result is low 9.5 Ratio (10.0-28.0 )

    Regaining weight

https://asmbs.org/patients/bariatric-surgery-misconceptions Misconception: Most people who have metabolic and bariatric surgery regain their weight. Truth: As many as 50 percent of patients may regain a small amount of weight (approximately 5 percent) two years or more following their surgery. However, longitudinal studies find that most bariatric surgery patients maintain successful weight-loss long-term. ‘Successful’ weight-loss is arbitrarily defined as weight-loss equal to or greater than 50 percent of excess body weight. Often, successful results are determined by the patient, by their perceived improvement in quality of life. In such cases, the total retained weight-loss may be more, or less, than this arbitrary definition. Such massive and sustained weight reduction with surgery is in sharp contrast to the experience most patients have previously had with non-surgical therapies.
  16. I dont think lowering his calories is an option at this point given how recent the procedure was. In general lowering calories isnt an option if you are consuming under 1200 per day.
  17. regain of 25lbs in 2 months seems alarming. What happened? While this is all good adivce definitely identify the problem/source first. For me im noticing the biggest risk is being able to eat around it with higher calorie slider foods.
  18. This is awful to read. I agree they are not just being unsupportive they are trying to sabatage. I prepared mentally for much worse than what I ever experienced. I never did have that "what have I done moment". I feel blessed for that. On the plus side you are 3 weeks out and everything is downhill from here. Without prying too much is your disability weight related? Just seeing the health benefits in the coming month your entire outlook on life is going to improve.

    Cleanliness after surgery

Cant believe we brought back a thread about sht (literally) from 2016. Anyway one of the best NSV's was being able to wipe sitting down for the first time in years after losing weight in the belly.
  20. Another Monday that the scale doesnt move for me. We have similar starting weights and results. I too have been losing inches but right now I want to see the scale move! Going to check out that older post now.

    Sneezing

Any new toys for after weight loss?

I’m going to go with another angle that I think the men will be able to appreciate in what has turned into a fancy cookware thread. My new hobby that wasn’t possible when I was 100lbs heavier. It’s a full body workout too with all the shifting of the weight. @JAKE H has a few ideas too!
  23. Mike your face is not recognizable at all. You dont look like the same person at all. Make sure you get a new drivers License because places like Airport security may look at you funny. Good job
  24. 7 months out and down 100lbs (same as my 6 month update) but the inches are coming off. My size 38 jeans that I bought a month ago are too loose and Im into 36s for the first time since my senior year of high school. I can say my mind doesnt revolve around the surgery or weight loss like it did. Before I put any food or drink into my mouth I do have that immediate reminder. Occasionally my eyes are bigger than my stomach but the sleeve stops me. I have the occasional snacks here and there but I keep it in check and sizing is tiny. Still not exercising as much as I should and I continue to be frustrated with my self for failing at this. At this point I would be happy to see 1lb a week so I am at goal weight by March but if this is the end of the road I know the only way lower will be to exercise more regularly. For you veterans out there is this what maintenance mode feels like?
