I smell everything more clearly as well but unfortunately it's breath. Not all bad but my brother ate truffle cheese and I swear I could smell his breath the whole day he was around. I also smell what my daughter eats in a day. It's kind of driving me crazy. I agree with the doctor but I don't go to the gym to lose weight. I know that's going to happen regardless. I'm now going because I want to build muscle. I have minimal pain right now but I stopped taking my hydrocodone a week ago. Everyone's pain tolerance is different. My pain feels more like cramps at this point. So to answer your question, the pain hasn't gone away but it is tolerable. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

I had RNY on 12/3 as well. I can relate to the hunger. I just try to focus on all my liquids. If Im hungry, I'll just make some turkey bone broth an add vegetables. I don't eat the veggies but seeing them makes me think I am. Im usually full after that. Also staying on a routine the entire day helps. Hope this helps, if not remember this is only temporary. You will have to do an endoscopy, maybe a swallow test(a little nastiness in a cup but not to bad..they take pictures of you swallowingthis chalky liquid). Psychiatric appointment. I had to do 6 appointments with the nutritionist and dietician before my surgery was approved. That wasnt in order but that was basically it. I also had to do a nicotine test and some bloodwork at my last appointment. All of those things were included in the six appointments. Some people only have to do three appointments.
