Hello Everyone I have a question for anyone who has had gastric bypass recently, my surgery date is 02-25-19 should I go and have my acrylic clear nails removed prior to surgery, I left a message for my surgery dept but have not heard back yet. Thank you for any help you can provide.
-
Thank you everyone, I spoke with my surgeon at Sutter he advised I am ok to have a clear set of acrylic nails. Im so excited surgery is getting closer Monday the 25th is almost here.

Just make sure you ask the dietitian what the charge was for. So you have no shocks at the end with amounts due. I am very excited to go thru this with you, please feel free to ask any questions or I am just here for you to talk to, thank you and have a wonderful weekend. #surgerybuddies#lifejourney#

My insurance coverage was amazing, I only had to come out of pocket the $300, nothing for the dietitian. Also the app that helped me pass all my dietitian classes was called Baritastic i literally typed my whole meal in at one time and it did all the work for me.
-
It was $300 for 15 days of shakes and vitamins.
-
The doctor provides it but i had to pay out of pocket it was not covered by my insurance. They gave me vitamins and shakes for the 15 day liquid diet I have to be on before my surgery. Make sure you ask ahead of time so you can be prepared to pay if you need too. I hope this helps. My surgeon met with me and told me only liquids for the 15 days, shakes, broth, water, jello, jello pudding and Popsicle and if I am craving some salt I can drink pickle juice not too much but enough to get the salt craving to go away.

Hello I'm waiting on Insurance approval to get a surgery date for gastric bypass. Right now my only fear is having to have a bag or tubes attached to me after surgery. Do they do this for every gastric bypass or does it vary? Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
