IT JUST SHOWED UP IN MY FEED. This is BS. You feel the need to emphasize that this is a year old. It should have not showed up in my feed unless somebody else mentioned it. Your brining this up AND EMPHASIZING IT only exaserbates (sp?) the situation. This whole bariatric site is supposed to help. Honestly, I don't think to that this is helpful. Before you decide to berate me for responding to a post that shows up recently, ask. If you can't be understanding and find out the circumstances, do me a favor and DONT RESPOND. I don't find any of this beneficial. I think I will remove myself from this whole app.In all seriousness:
joannniemiec nomorefattypatty The main question is what was the intent in RESURRECTING a YEAR OLD post that began this railing against/arguing/fighting/defending/supporting the comment about the president and/or the president himself, when that post was ALREADY DEAD/NOT COMMENTED ON THEN/FROM SOMEONE WHO HADN'T POSTED SINCE OCTOBER; then jumping to the conclusion that Beachladee3 was laughing at the president comment back in September (as opposed to any other part of the post); then following up your comments by stating this discussion has no place on this site...when you brought it up again and continue to post about it?!?! I am flummoxed.
Should have let sleeping dogs lie, instead of necroposting! Let it die.

I'm sorry, but I feel that bringing up your obvious dislike for the president in this forum is just opportunistic. This , in the end is about personal responsibility. Refraining from the behavior that for them there in the first place. TBH, right after surgery, I could have eaten the steering wheel off my car. I refrained. I have stuck to the diet, cheated a couple of times, buy have lost almost 40 lbs in 5 weeks. For those who can't make the changes, save your money and stay home.i know of someone, an older lady, who had gastric bypass surgery at a hospital in Georgia.
the next day, the daughter brings a box of Cinnabons to her in the hospital room. they proceed to start eating them. she tears open her new stomach and has to go into emergency surgery to save her life, cleaning cinnabons out of her abdomen.
moral of the story? there seems to be no limit to the stupidity of most people in this country. it is infinite and almost beyond the imagination. while some bariatric offices are better than others at preparation and patient education, none of that really matters when dealing with the average American.
look at our president.

I am 51 and had my RNY last week. It’s not easy but I still believe this is the best option for me. It’s the tool I need to help me reach my goals. Best of luck to everyone!
Good luck to you. I'm 51 and had mine done on 11/7. The toughest part that I have found so far is making sure not to overeat. Knowing where your limit is. So far I have lost 34 lbs...

Liquid, puree, soft foods, then regular, but I have found it difficult eating "regular" foods. I revert back to eating a lot of soft foods.... Refried Beans, yogurt, etc. I have the best success with those too.I have a question! Some Surgeons keep you a liquid diet for 3 weeks and and say pureed or soft at 21 days, what is phase in order?

I find it so funny how each person is so different. I had no gas pain, no troubles really of any kind. As of yesterday down 34 lbs.I just had my surgery last Monday December 10th. I am 51 and I had lots of concerns and questions but never was I too old. In the scheme of things I am doing well. The first few days were the worse. The surgical gas really does a number on you. I walked and walked thankfully after 3 days I was able to start getting relief. Good luck on your own day. Remember a lot of people have similar experiences but everyone is different in some way.

Have confidence in your ability to do this. You have come this far... Don't give in. I used to have NO will power... It surprises me how well I'm sticking to it. Why not. To go through the liquid diet (sucked) and the surgery to sabotage yourself seems to me to be excessively silly!!!Thank u I just don't want to fail myself ....my cousin told me I could be losing inches n I do see some difference in myself

Don't get obsessed with the scale. My daughter was sleeved almost a year ago and had lost about 233lbs. It will come. Don't panic!! I got the bypass on 11/7 and haven't lost more than a few lbs. Not worried... It will come.......
