    February 2019 weight loss buds

Anna you’re eating like me a lot. Most days I completely skip breakfast and if I have anything early, it’s always meat and cheese. 🤣🤣

Ugh..... I hate that my photo cut off the info at the top of the app. Here is the daily breakdown.....

    February 2019 weight loss buds

@EmzBee... Here is my food log for the day. Under 25 gm carbs, but I’m hoping to do better tomorrow.
  4. Okay. I’ve promised myself I won’t panic. Was sleeved on 2/6 and recovering “normally” Lost 23.4 pounds in 12 days and now I’ve been at the exact same weight for 3 days running. Lol, I even had my husband get on the scale to verify it wasn’t “stuck” and it registered a different weight with him. I’ve heard of the 3 week stall and was ready for that, but this has kinda hit me by surprise. Has anyone else had the 2 week stall? I’m keeping my fingers crossed that maybe because I lost almost 10% of my body weight in 2 days, I just hit the stall early? The thought that my body is betraying me again this early in the process is unimaginable

    2 week stall?

Yeah. I’ve now gone through an additional stall at 3 months that lasted for 5 solid weeks. It’s okay though because I’ve lost almost 60 pounds now post surgery

    February 2019 weight loss buds

I battle these demons all of the time. I have such a difficult time sitting back and letting life happen to me most of the time, but this time I’m making a conscious effort to relax a bit more and let it come. Some days I completely lose this battle, but I’m aware it is an issue and I’m working on it. Just today I bought 2 new pairs of shorts because we’re going on a family trip next month to New Orleans and I realized I had zero shorts that still fit me. I purposely bought both of them slightly snug so I really hope they fit in a few weeks. It’s so hard to try to guess what the body will do next month but I’m such a control freak that it was making me absolutely crazy knowing that I had no clothes for the upcoming trip.

Oh no hate here. I’m happy you’re going to hit goal fairly soon. I mean, we all need trailblazers to show us the way and my age, gender, starting BMI, and lifelong history of being a very slow loser are all factors I was aware of coming into this whole thing. I definitely won’t get there fast, but I will get there. It will be nice to have people standing at the finish line welcoming me home.

I basically eat keto every day so I’ll be more than happy to do this with you. I’ll start logging again and post my food logs. This will be a great exercise for this week.

    February 2019 weight loss buds

Honestly I’m going off of where I was when I was in my 20’s and before the metabolic syndrome really started when I was pregnant with my daughter. I’m 5’7”, have a medium build, and I carry my weight primarily in my hips and legs when I’m not obese and carry it everywhere. In college I was carrying around an extra 10-15 pounds easy when I was weighing 130-135 so it made sense to set my goal for 145-150 being 30 years older. One year I dieted like crazy and was a gym rat and I got down to 120, but that was really difficult to maintain. Here is me at 140 ponds in 1995 at my sisters weddding. I was 26. Would love to get back to within 5-10 pounds of this.

In this regard, I’m very very happy that i was 50 when I got sleeved. This is hard enough without the hell that was pre/peri menopause

    February 2019 weight loss buds

Wow! 121? Lol, I think I was over that from the age of 12 when I grew 5 inches in a year to my current height of 5’7”. 🤣🤣 I did weigh in this morning at 185.2 though which means I’m now just 40 pounds from goal weight. It’s been so long since I’ve been this close. My old college weight was 135, but I’m steadfastly telling myself that I’m no longer 22 years old and therefore my sleeve can’t reverse 28 years worth of time.

    June 2019 challenge

Didn’t quit, but I’ve been picking up extra shifts to try to take some vacation week after next. We don’t have enough floaters to get vacation right now, so I’m working and doing trade outs for 3 days I want off. It sucks because some years we aren’t allowed to use our days so they just pay us for the vacation days we never took the following year. I did do 2 Pilates classes this evening, so I got caught up on lunges and push ups

I’m losing some, but I just can’t for the life of me get brave enough for a short cut. Every time in the past when I’ve ever cut my hair shorter than shoulder length, I insta regret it and I always feel like it makes my face look fat fat fat. Maybe if my hair loss progresses beyond mild to moderate into the severe category, but mine has always been reeeeeeeeally slow growing (before bariatric surgery) so if I regretted it, it would take well over a year to grow back.

Thanks for the positive reinforcement guys. I’m still amazed at the “child size” breakfast that Anna had and how freaking HUGE that plate looks to me now. Then I got really sad because it honestly is a large portion of food...... for a kid. Honestly it’s a miracle that there aren’t more people who are obese when that’s the standard we start kids with nowadays. My kids are grown, but if I ever get grandkids, I’m going to encourage that “less is more”. Especially since those grandkids will be carrying around approximately 25% my genetics.

    February 2019 weight loss buds

Thanks, but I’m still over 185 pounds. Goal is to land between 145-150. I’m almost freaking out hearing some of you guys are close to goal because I feel as if I’m MILES away from that. However I’ve been such a slow loser all this time so I guess it’s to be expected. Wow I can’t wait to hear from you guys as you cross the finish line! Mind you, I’ll be bringing up the rear, but I’ll get there eventually

Lol! That before and after looks about what a 2 year old who wasn’t interested in eating breakfast would consume. Love it!

    February 2019 weight loss buds

I absolutely love you for saying this. That being said, I’m a size 14 right now and goal is a size 8. Wow... that sounds so surreal, but I want it badly and refuse to stop until I get there

    February 2019 weight loss buds

lol, and here I was to post 4 month progress photos and see your post! Okay, so “hot” left me about 20-ish years ago, but at this age I’m aiming for “fit” and “healthy” 🤣🤣

    How many carbs?

Honestly I never found one that I truly like. The one I posted the link to is about the only one I can stomach in small amounts. I make that 14 ounce shake last 2 servings because I get pretty full after about half of it. Right around the time I was cleared for semi-solids, I went to plain milk for protein and ditched the shakes. I also used dairy protein as my bridge to get most of my requirements in. In all honesty, I probably didn’t hit any protein goals until I was 6-8 weeks post-surgery and I just had my 3 month labs run and my protein levels are just fine.

Omg, my BMI is 29.3!!! This means I’m merely “overweight” instead of any kind of obese category. Another note: the weight I’m at right now is officially lower than my lowest weight since I was pregnant with my daughter. Guys.... my daughter turns 22 next month!

    February 2019 weight loss buds

Anna, these are extremely healthy and non-carby foods so while I get it that your nausea going away and appetite coming back is alarming, the choices are awesome. One thing all of us February peeps are going to have to come to terms with soon is the fact that we are healing, and that this is a good thing. Now we are going to move into the next phase of this journey and learn how to make good lifestyle and healthy choices when we’re not feeling so sick. I’m personally psyched at the prospect because it means progression.
  24. Okay so I’m asking to see if anybody else is/has experienced what I’m going through. As of today I’m 17 weeks post op and I’ve done wonderfully so far. Didn’t have any adverse reactions and it’s been fairly smooth sailing. Then about 3-4 weeks ago, my skin has become SUPER DUPER itchy and small bumps keep breaking out all over my arms, legs, and torso. Just had my 3 month labs done and everything seems to be just fine. I haven’t tried any new foods and all my meds are the same. Normally I would think maybe the new bariatric supplements are to blame, but I’ve been taking those since the week of surgery and they didn’t bother me before. I’m practically bathing in fragrance free lotion that I’ve always used and the itching is driving me nuts!
