    February 2019 weight loss buds

Heading off to my daughters white coat ceremony and this is my OOTD. I love wearing such fun colors and styles now. It will almost be a shame when I lose more weight and these clothes no longer fit me

Sooooo exciting. Very very happy for you that you’ve reached goal so soon. Lol, I truly hope to join you in 2 months (I’ve got 16 pounds til I hit goal #2– 26 pounds til I hit a ridiculous goal that may or may not happen).

I would go with the 2 that don’t charge first. If you’re totally satisfied no need to go further. If you have any doubts, pick your next choice that does charge, but unless all 3 turn out to be duds I don’t see the need to go beyond that

    February 2019 weight loss buds

Thanks for posting. Looking GREAT!!! I have zero idea how to post links to other threads here from my phone, but recently I’ve gotten addicted to a thread here titled OOTD where we post pics of ourselves in whatever outfit we’re wearing for the day. At first I was scared to death to post a pic because I’m not a goal, but then realized that this journey is never truly over and that we should feel good about ourselves no matter if we’ve just started, are halfway there, or have been at goal for 20 years. It’s about celebrating our awesome selves and finding ways to feel really really good about the positive changes we’re making. Just in the last couple of weeks I’ve gotten more used to taking full-length selfies other than for the purpose of monthly progress pics and it’s both freeing AND fun.

    February 2019 weight loss buds

So here is a pic I took Monday am: it’s hard to tell from the photo, but these pants are practically hanging off of me now. These are the same pants that I had to tug and pull over my hips and hold my breath in to zip up on June 20th on my anniversary when hubs and I went out to dinner. That’s such a massive change in just 6-7 weeks and about 15 pounds difference between the dates. As of Sunday am (last time I stepped on the scale ) I’m at 170.6 pound— down from my surgery day weight of 246 and my all-time high back in 2008 of 274. Staggering to think I’m down over 100 pounds from the most I’ve ever weighed and still thinking I can probably go down another 20-25 pounds over the next 3-5 months. When I first started seriously considering WLS early last year, I would’ve never imagined in my dream scenario weighing under 175. It simply wasn’t even fathomable to me. Now I very well could be in the 160’s for all i know, but I still get scared to weigh myself too often, lol. I’m so happy that we’re all moving into shouting distance of many of our goals.

    February 2019 weight loss buds

I dunno.... hair loss for me seems to have actually amplified this last month. Also in that same time period I had a 10 pound loss month and I haven’t had one of those since April. At the end of the day I guess I’ll take the 10 pound month and be satisfied with continued hair loss. It wouldn’t be so scary if someone could promise me that eventually most (I’m not even asking for all) could come back in a few months

I also started going to club Pilates. I’m addicted to it and try to do at least 5-6 classes weekly. Tonite was back-to-back with suspend followed by cardio 1.5.

    OOTD

Just a quick side shot to show how BAGGY this outfit is on me now. Wore this same outfit the week of July 4th and the pants were TIGHT
  12. Leftovers from last night: half burger patty with some hatch chili sauce. 3/4 cup salad mix. I have no idea what I’m eating later bc I’m eating at my sisters house for a family bday. Main goal there is to fill up on meat/salad and avoid any dessert.
  13. Okay so yesterday I experimented with shortening my IF window. Previously the most restricted I had ever tried was 18:6. In fact, I’ve been doing 18:6 since Monday and was feeling great about it, but here’s what happened yesterday when I tried to go 20:4..... 1. 8am— Got up, felt great. Got on the scale for the first time since Tuesday and I was down 1.8 pounds. Awesome bc I’ve now dropped 9.8 pounds in the last 30 days and I’m feeling great about it. My IF tool is helping me lose more this month. 2. 10am— after drinking two 17 ounce bottles Water I made my morning coffee (1 ounce plain fairlife milk, 1 Kcup). Also took my morning meds (PPI, probiotic, Calcium chews). I don’t do multi or Iron early bc I don’t eat yet. Still feeling great and I spent most of that time working on my closet reorg project. Also did some laundry. 3. Noon and I think about eating, because I’ve now had coffee plus another bottle water. Not hungry though so this is when I get the idea that I’m just gonna try to roll into a 20:4 day because I’m feeling zero hunger (physical or head) 4. 2pm. Hubs gets back from work and starts to make himself a lunch. I too decide to make myself some lunch and break my fast for the day. Still not really hungry, but hey....it’s 2pm and I’ve had zero Protein (unless you count the coffee milk) 5. Ate about 2/3 of the lunch I made. Weird bc I know what my sleeve can carry and I didn’t come close to holding what I normally do. I had some leftover pork stir-fry which consisted of lean pork, wilted greens, water chestnuts, peppers, and mushrooms. Probably about 3/4-1 cup food altogether and ran just over 200 cal. 6. After running some errands, back home at 4:30. Was actually feeling a bit hungry (in retrospect I was probably dehydrated— it’s 100+degrees and most of our running around was in the heat.). Ate a small snack of some kimchi, 5 small pepperonis, and 1/4 ounce Brie. Felt completely FULL afterwards and was slightly nauseous. 7. Was supposed to have dinner at 6pm, told hubs there was NO WAY my body could hold food. Drank another 2 bottles water (took forever bc of fullness) and finally pushed dinner back to almost 8pm. Had my normal appetite by then and I ate 1/2 burger patty with 3/4 cup salad mix. This is a typical dinner for us and a typical serving size. Lol, so even though I pushed first meal back 2 hours, I still had a 6 hr eating window. Guess I’m going to have to be further along on this journey before I can go any more aggressive ATM. Probably didn’t even get in 50gm protein and had considerably less than normal calories. Anymore I try to keep those between 650-800 and my food log shows under 450. Oops. It will be noon soon here and I’m yet again not one jot hungry but I’m going to try because I’ve GOT to eat dinner earlier tonite

    💜AUGUST 2019 CHALLENGE💜

Checking in for the weekend guys. Life’s been crazy busy since Thursday but I actually managed to spend half of yesterday unplugged from almost everything and hung out with hubs media-free (unless you count reading on my kindle) and we caught up on shopping and chores,etc... Today is my nephews 21st bday and my sis is planning a big family dinner. She’s one of my biggest supporters and meat—any meat—is my nephew fave kind of food so I’m confident I’ll be okay and have some good Protein options. Soon I’ll hit the studio for a couple of classes (cardio and suspend so I’ll get both types of exercise in) and then off to the party. Yesterday I ordered a couple pairs of work trousers off of eBay and I ordered size 12’s. Lol, just the thought of being that size again makes me giddy. Lordy I hope they’re not too tight when they arrive. One of my tasks/goals for this week is to finish organizing some spring/summer clothes for sell-back that I purchased at the local consignment when I first started needed clothes.   It seems extremely odd to already be having to exchange out for smaller sizes. I’m finding that I’m having some slight anxiety about it. Like.... these were the clothes I first picked up when I had nothing to wear to work and now I’m returning them and I’m finding I’ve got some weird affinity to them and I’m sad seeing them hanging on the rack to return. I’m going to stay positive though and pick out my favorite 3 outfits and keep them for another month. Goodness knows it’s hot enough still here in OKC where I can definitely keep wearing summer clothes for a few more weeks

Awesome posts guys! I’ve got some size 12 pants *gulp* that will be delivered to me by Thursday and I can’t wait to see how they fit. Gonna post them on no matter if they’re too tight or not. *fingers crossed

    💜AUGUST 2019 CHALLENGE💜

Lol, like the one day I don’t do something homemade and have to grab something as I’m running errands bc I’m running late for work...
  18. I’m also just hitting 6 months PO and the awesome people here who’ve done IF have told me that an ounce or two of milk probably doesn’t count as “breaking fast” unless you’re going totally purist—which I’m not because I NEED that morning coffee most days. Anyway, I’m proud of myself because I’ve been sticking to 18:6 all week and have my day planned for today.

    💜AUGUST 2019 CHALLENGE💜

Okay so when I first started drinking coffee (around 4-6wks PO) was when I started pushing breakfast back to around 10-11am. Even now i can’t drink anything within 45 mins of eating and the coffee was just that important to me. Hey, if I’m pretty much giving up wine, cocktails, beer and pizza, I gotta have SOMETHING to look forward to. Anyway,it was delaying breakfast that’s brought me to my current (almost every) day schedule of 16:8 IF. *exciting news* Got on the scale this morning and I’m down 1.8 pounds since last Wednesday. Woo hoo!!!
  21. Okay so I have a whacky work schedule. Like work until 11pm one day, have to be there at 6:45am the next morning kind of schedule. Some nights it’s flat out impossible to eat any quantity for dinner bc we don’t get breaks. I literally have to eat on the run (hence my ability to put down an entire hard-boiled egg in

    February 2019 weight loss buds

Very odd. I can’t really say much without knowing more background, but it sounds as if the wife has some serious control issues. Secondly, she could sure use some dang education on nutrition and fitness before spouting wrong advice to others. Jeez, not only was she rude, she was wrong. As time goes by, I’m thinking all of us are going to experience this kind of thing (although maybe not quite as dramatically as your friends wife voiced it) Just yesterday morning I went in for a haircut. It had been since the end of May since my last one any my stylist is one of my besties. I’ve known her since 1999, but here’s the deal..... I’ve been obese/morbidly obese the whole time she’s known me. One would think that since she had done my color in May, that my appearance now wouldn’t be as shocking, but apparently it was. When I showed up yesterday she took one look at me and congratulated me for being “finished” Um........ nope! I’m still 8-10 pounds heavier than I was before I got pregnant with my daughter (the main catalyst for my metabolic syndrome) and 30-35 pounds heavier than when I graduated college. Okay, so I’m not saying that hitting 135 pounds and staying there is feasible, but sitting here at 174, I know I have a LOT of weight that can still be lost. When I told her thanks for the compliments, but I’m still a few months from being done, she started lecturing me on how I didn’t need to try to lose all my curves. Lol, I explained that I’m sure I’ll still have curves even when I’m a normal weight and that I was actually still “overweight” according to BMI charts. For the record, my friend is 5’1” and has probably never weighed over 110 pounds ever in her life—she barely even gained weight when she was pregnant. She means well, but I think it’s a bit scary to see someone who you’ve only ever known as extremely overweight suddenly NOT overweight. So many times, we equate that with poor health

Okay so today is my 6 month surgiversary!!!!! Omg, can’t believe it’s been 6 months In celebration, decided to go back through my closet and try n items that have been too tight on me These pants are size 12 Old Navy pixie cut pants. Picked them up at the consignment store 2 months ago bc they were only $6 and they were there NWT. Today they fit me. Size 12. Omg, if someone had told me on February 6th, I’d be wearing pants like this today, I’d have had a better attitude when I woke up in the recovery room. 🤣🤣
