About to break fast with a p3 snack, 6 almonds, and a glass of milk (drinking that first) Dinner will be a wedge of Brie and a cup of hamburger hash (lean ground beef, okra, onions and cooked with beef bone broth). Running late for work, will log it later for a breakdown -

Yeah. I PROMISE that if you make protein your main focus, it will fall off. Typical meals for me are 3-4 ounces lean meat, a few spoonfuls of veg. Cheese added in as I have room for it— coz like I’ve said before, I lurve me some cheese -
Nothing fancy. Heading out to Pilates before work today.

Holy cow I didn’t know any any of this! Great info

Okay so now I can quote. 🤣🤣🤣 Anyway, I drink coffee almost every morning and I put about an ounce of plain milk in it. I’m not being purist on this ATM, so I don’t count my coffee as breaking fast. Not saying I’m correct, just saying that’s what I do. -
Agree. Less than a month post-surgery I got a scale that breaks down percentages. I know enough to realize that the scale isn’t the absolute authority on my percentage of fat, water and muscle, but because I’m always using the same scale, the percentage lost over that time period is the important number for me The following numbers are what really excites me about this journey: Muscle staying the same. It’s the FAT that’s disappearing. Who knows if my fat % now is really and truly 33.4%. The most important fact is that it as FALLEN by 12%.

Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability

Okay so somehow the “quote” function isn’t working for me now, but here’s a breakdown of my 46gm meal: The most important part is that when I make the soup, I’m only using enough water to mix the packet and add the scoop of bone broth powder. The canned chicken and drained noodles will also carry some water so I drain and strain as much as I can. I’m a pretty fast eater with this sleeve, but it still takes me about a half hour to fit all of this in. Luckily the soup and chunk chicken can be rather slider-ish so that helps. I mostly add the noodles to keep it interesting and it feels like I’m eating something Raman-like. -
Posting from my iPad and I still hate (after over 9 years) the only Android I’d ever owned. That phone glitched so much it glitched while glitching. Pretty much gave up on PCs about 3 years ago and get a new pad about every 2-3yrs.

Okay so question guys: Does anyone here ever do 20:4 and what does that look like for you? Here is condensed version of my calories/macros today. Needing help deciding if I’m on the right track. -

Very very soon I’m doing this! ATM, I’m mostly playing around with different eating intervals, and not quite pulling the trigger on alternate day fasting. 2 main reasons: 1. I’m still >20 pounds from goal and would like to wait til I’m within 10 pounds to start more aggressive IF 2. Even though I’ve had a slight bounce this week, I’m going to wait this out and see if I’m truly stalled, or everything is just resettling for a couple of weeks. Today and the next 2 days I’m fluctuating my eating window. Today was 20:4, tomorrow will be 16:8, Tuesday will be another 20:4. Plan is to eat >65gm protein daily and I’ve not yet figured the calories, but I know what I’ve got planned to eat. I’ve got a rotisserie chicken, high protein soup, cottage cheese, Brie, a bariatric hot chocolate, some almonds and plain ole fairlife milk. Today my calories were around 550, tomorrow I’m gonna bump to 900-ish. Mostly I’ll be eating cheese, popping an extra handful of almonds and drinking extra milk to help get me there. I’m hoping to get out of my every day “rut” of eating about 700-800 calories every single day and doing 16:8 almost every single day. -

Awesome that you’re also keeping track of measurements! Great progress and don’t doubt yourself. This thing ain’t over at 6 months, 12 months, or 12 years. We’re gonna keep on eating healthy, shaking our booties, and whatever else we need to do to get to goal. -
Okay so I’m gonna have to go shopping and lookout for palazzo pants to try on. No way I’m gonna order any without making sure they won’t look ridiculous on me

Okay. 1. You look FABULOUS. 2. You are FABULOUS 3. If you want to lose 9 more pounds, GO FOR IT! Girl, I’m convinced you’ll hit that goal and be even MORE fabulous. 4. Haters are going to hate. Okay, so I posted a pic of me and my daughter on Friday and overall I got positive remarks, but I did have one friend (she’s super-heavy and lives in another state) message me to lecture me on how I was getting “too skinny”. Ha! As if someone 5’7” weighing in the 170’s still and at 27.5% BMI is in any danger of dying from being too skinny. I politely told her I was thankful for her concern, but that I would be the best judge of my body and health, thank you very much. BTW.... here is the picture and I look great, but I’m not finished yet. I want to finish this, dammit, not fall short of the last 25 pounds, ya know? -

Oh you are the sweetest. One reason why this group is so special to me. Seriously though, I’ve now got jowels and a saggy, wrinkly neck. It’s okay, plastics will come to the rescue! 🤣🤣🤣 -

Oh yeah, I’ve got the saggy face now for sure. Being 50 sure didn’t help that very much either. Oh well, I planned on having lipo done on thighs, maybe I can throw in a lil facelift and get a twofer discount. 🤣🤣🤣 -

Thanks for the kind words and thanks for understanding my drive to keep going. I think that had I been obese my whole life, this would be a great stopping point for me, but I’m still 35-40 pounds heavier than my college weight— and that was about 5-10 pounds over my all-time-low from my sophomore year of college. What’s funny is that when I was in my late teens and early 20’s, I felt so “fat” when my weight got over 125. And I’m 5’7”! Yeah, I’m 30 years older. Yeah, I’ve had 2 kids.... I get all that. But I just know in my heart of hearts that I’ve got at least another 25-ish pounds left in me to go. Today I’m 172.4 (had a 1.6 pound bounce this week) and I’m shooting for an ultimate goal of 145-ish (plus or minus a few on either side for maintenance). That still puts me 10-15 higher than when I was 23. -

Thanks so much for posting your experiment. Okay, so I just came off of losing 10 pounds in 3 weeks, which is the most I’ve lost per week since the first month. Weighed in this morning (no poop for 3 days and counting) and I’m up 1.6 pounds since a week ago. Lol, that 1.6 pound bounce put me at my average monthly average of 8-9 pounds, so I’m not gonna hit the panic button just yet. Especially since things are a bit....backed up, so to speak. Today I extended my fasting window and just now (3pm my time) gobbled down some lunch. Pure protein bomb at 44 gm and under 300 calories. I’ll make sure to have dinner finished by 7 so I’ll end up with a 20:4. Also did 2 Pilates classes and felt great, but admittedly pretty hungry by the time I got lunch ready. Tomorrow I’ll go back to 16:8 and then restrict back to 20:4 Tuesday. Plan on weighing in Wednesday am and see if that budges the scale any. I went from 170.8 to 172.4. Dammit I was soooooooo close to hitting the 160’s. My goal is to see 160-anything by this time next week. -

Meh. Mostly good I think Yesterday was emotional bc my daughter had her white coat ceremony. I made sure to dress in an outfit that made me feel FABULOUS (and I looked pretty good), except my hair. My hair is thinning so badly that I’m having difficulty getting excited about my outfits and my body. Need to get over that. Also, I allowed my daughter to sweet-talk me into taking her to dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant (I had originally had plans to go to Pilates after the ceremony). In short, I had a margarita AND nachos instead of exercising so there was soooo much guilt. But OTOH, the day was super special for my daughter so I was sacrificing for her. Was able to get right back on track today though so I’m feeling way better about the weekend than I did at this point yesterday. Here is a pic of us and yes..... I’m super proud, proud mom right now.

Thanks! It’s been so much fun experimenting with different colors and styles. Lol, not gonna go the full @GreenTealael route and do a crop top just yet, but I’m branching out! 🤣🤣
