  1. Okay so I caught up for 2 days. Really hating that I can’t use the app on my phone ATM I’m going to adjust my vitamin regimen on days I OMAD or 24 hr fast. Didn’t realize any of them would throw me out of fasting. Bummer, I figured only the chewable would. Today I had planned on a regular ole 16:8 (my usual) but I had a weird work day broken up with 2 doctors appts, and a total of 3 Pilates classes. It’s supposed to be my staycaytion week, but we got extra hours in our budget to give flu shots, so I worked in two 2 hr increments today doing mini flu-clinics. As a result, I flat didn’t have time to eat (bc of such a weird scheduling day I didn’t pack food) and by 2pm, I was sitting in my PCPs office with my stomach gurgling LOUDLY. Lol, it was definitely complaining, so I grabbed a quick container of milk when I got back to my store and then got home and ate dinner at 7pm. So..... besides the milk, I had almost another 24 hr fast without the benefit of loading up the day before for it. If I got in 40gm protein today, I’ll be shocked. I’ve got a similar day to tomorrow so I’m definitely bringing a PP shake

    So what are you unable to eat now?

    So can I ask a question without trying to sound rude? So many people mention pasta, potatoes, bread, etc. I’m actually kind of stunned that any of us would try those things. I can see reserving having something like special occasions, but isn’t this the very kinds of food that got us in this place? I’m almost 8 months out and still don’t usually eat over 20 carbs in a day. Protein takes up about 80-90% of what I eat and I kinda just assumed it was like that for everyone?

    Wow so seriously this IOS app problem is killing my ability to post. So many many cute outfits and omg....we finally have a guy posting here! Yay. So today was hectic, but my best moment was when work was over (finally) and I could escape to my favorite oasis- Club Pilates. These are pants my daughter gave me. She said she wasn’t “into” patterns anymore and that they were more my style. Lol, whatever that means. My favorite part about them is they are freaking size MEDIUM in fabletics.
  4. Pretty much the same here. I think AZhiker’s needs aren’t good for OMAD bc of the intense training which requires much more protein than those of us not in that kind of intense training I’ve done OMAD 3-4 times (depending on how strictly you want to define it) The main reason I tried was to experiment with a little bit of everything so I could know what kind of stuff works/doesn’t work. When I OMAD (and I did it today) I still take my vitamins in the morning. I have both chewable and regular capsules so I do the swallow ones (with no added carbs) during the fasting phase and I do my chewable probiotic and iron when I’m eating. Also, I had 8 ounces beef bone broth with some sea salt in it around 2pm. I consider this not to be breaking fast, but I know that a lot of purists will not agree with me. So I got home tonite and had dinner around 7pm— 24.5 hours past when I’d started eating dinner last night. I extended dinner into a couple small meals and I had a protein shake with my calcium chews initially and then about an hour later I had a few meatballs and ricotta cheese. Skipped the salad because there would’ve simply not been room. Didn’t get in quite 500 calories, but I did get in over 50g, protein so I’m thrilled with it. As I’m winding down post-shower, I’m about to have my probiotic and iron chews.

    💜 SEP 2019 CHALLENGE 💜

    Slow squat with hand weights. They’re soooooo much more difficult and I can actually concentrate more on the muscles I want to work out when I go slowly. Also don’t feel as if I’m one wobble away from blowing a knee out when I go slow and heavier.

    Yup same boat here. All of my fat everywhere is really super squishy where it used to be hard as a rock. In some areas it’s hard to tell the difference between fat and skin. (I’m looking at you upper arms!).
  8. Love it! I ended up not doing OMAD on Saturday, but I’m going to fast for 24hrs. Lol, I’m already 3 hours in. 🤣🤣🤣

    Agree with all of this. I mean if we can’t make good/great choices the majority of the time, why on earth did we do this, ya know? My goat yoga was sponsored by a local microbrewery (FYI.... I love beer and miss is desperately) and hubs went with us—he’s no fool... what a great excuse to sit in a tap room and drink beer before noon on a Saturday when your wife no longer can drink beer much. Anyway, he was nice enough to order a second beer and leave about 4 ounces left for me when I was finished. It was AMAZING and since it was noon and I’d been fasting, my sleeve was able to hold the 4oz and it was just enough. The rest of the day I was 100% on point and when I logged it I laughed because it was about 50 calories. That was my first beer since January. Did I mention that I used to LOVE beer? 🤣🤣🤣 Many many things can be done IN MODERATION.... just not OFTEN

    February 2019 weight loss buds

    Great news! I hope to be able to enter maintenance by the end of October. I’ve got 10-15 pounds left. I’ve been “stuck” between 163-161 for the last 10 days, which is frustrating, but my body seems to do this to me about every 10 pounds so I’m used to it. Yesterday I participated in goat yoga with my daughter and one of her best friends and it was amazing to be willing and ABLE to do something like that. For the first time in a very very long time I don’t hate my body, or my choices, or the dialogue going on repeat in my head. I’m still not “finished” or “there” or “at goal”, but I’m damned close and close feels pretty nice.

    Yeah, if it wasn’t for my pad, I’d be offline on this site for now. I mean I don’t understand how anyone navigates the website. I can’t seem to find anything and it was taking me forever. *sigh BTW, I love that outfit! Looks like you’ve lost inches even if the scale shows the same weight

    Yeah their lil hooves were a bit rough. And yeah.... that’s what you think it is behind me. I got lucky. Didn’t get either pooped or peed on and I was smart enough to bring towels that went straight into the trash can when we were done. The greatest thing about yesterday is that I FINALLY have the confidence and energy and ability to participate in an event like this. And I’m still 10-15 pounds from goal and it’s okay that I’m not “finished” or “there” yet, ya know? Went with my daughter and one of her friends and the 3 of us had a blast. My daughters friend hadn’t seen me since the end of last year and the shock on her face was priceless. Yeah, so it’s not a glamorous or sexy OOTD, but it’s part of everyday life now and that’s what I’m enjoying celebrating as much as anything else anymore.

    💜 SEP 2019 CHALLENGE 💜

    Well I’ve only half-haphazardly done the squats, but I’m continuing to lose this month. Next month is going to be interesting. I’m predicting I’ll hit goal weight and will be in the process of trying to learn what maintenance starts to look like for me. Meanwhile (unless I drink wine, which I don’t plan on doing excepting for special occasions) I’m finding it impossible to get in over 750 calories daily. I guess one of my personal goals for October will be to figure out how to transition from weight losing mode to figuring out “what next?”

    I’ll be honest. I was the girl that was “born” naturally curvy and like most people, wasn’t satisfied with the way Mother Nature made me. At the very first opportunity (breast cancer) I got my boobs radically reduced. Went from a 40G to 40B cup and didn’t regret for one second. I’ve always envied the people who had the slim athletic builds so if my butt completely disappears (and it’s looking like it might) I’m never spending $$$$ to fix it. I’ll pay for a facelift. I’ll pay for this dang cellulite on my thighs and legs to go. I’ll even pay for abdominal plastics, but unless I win the lottery I’m gonna live with a flat butt. Not saying I won’t buy padded underwear for a specific outfit though if I need it.

    My goodness you’re disappearing right before our eyes. It’s funny how FAST you go through clothes— I actually had some out-of-season things that I never got the opportunity to wear. Sorry you’re feeling under the weather. I have 2 cats and we joke that the older female is our nurse cat. She knows when you’re not feeling well and will snuggle right in (in of course the most annoying way possible)

    Honestly my side profile already looks a lot like that pancake butt version. Even when I was 272, I had a pancake butt. Now the only difference is wrinkles start at my sacrum and end in my upper thighs.

    Omg guys. Seriously this body would never be bikini ready without plastics. Now maybe some of us could find a place offering BOGO plastics ..... 🤣🤣🤣🤣 It’s weird though. The prospect of going to DC and geeking out in museums and historical sites is appealing to me more than endless rum drinks. I feel “safer” planning something where I’ll probably get in over 15k steps daily and the endless food and booze won’t be there
  24. Okay so thats what I would’ve guessed. I seriously might try OMAD Saturday because it’s going to be busy busy in the daytime, but hubs and I are grilling out and making food for the kids (adult kids who can be bribed to come visit with food offerings) and settling in for a rare weekend off for the two of us to veg in the evening and watch some football For some reason, OMAD appeals to me in a situation like this because I can once again partake in the experience of the meal. I’m thinking I’m going to set aside 2 hours for eating and seeing what happens.
