  4. Too lazy to get my a$$ off the couch so Uber Eats it is! A Wendy’s Apple Pecan Chicken Salad w/ half a packet of the dressing: 470 calories. Am starving (though don’t know why, I’ve basically sat still for the past 4 hours!), so I anticipate eating most of this…

Rawr. You are a woman after my bikini-loving-boderline-sexually-harassing-body-ogling heart. p.s. lady, your shoulders are drool worthy *slinks away to do a few sets of plank shoulder taps…* edited to add/ask: and who is that lovely on the bed?!?!?

    Second Chance.

This is a great attitude to adopt to carry you through any future hurdles (weight loss related or otherwise). But also, being able to make peace with things and pivot, even in the event that Plan B doesn't produce the results you want. Good Luck! ❤️

  9. Saw that this thread was revived and figured I'd throw in an update 3 months later... Short Story: Yep, I am still drinking. Long Story: About 2 months ago, I noticed that I was sleeping poorly (increasing regular insomnia, if i did sleep, i would still wake up tired, I went from getting up bright up and bushy tailed at 6am to dragging myself out of bed closer to 10. I was getting more headaches. Mr. said it was because I was drinking too much...though he says this for EVERYTHING. I have a headache. You are drinking too much. My period is late. You are drinking too much. It's raining tomorrow. You are drinking too much. Anyhoo, he said why not cut down anyway and see what happens....for science? Ah! he knows me so well, any opportunity to create a new spreadsheet and make some observations over time! LOL. So I stopped drinking for 10 days (it was supposed to be a week, but I'm an over-achiever). By the 2nd night I had the most glorious sleep, and woke up like a Disney Princess with birds singing and everything. and by about day 4 my regular headaches were easing up. By the end of the 10 days they were gone. Well what the eff. The man may have been on to something (I'm never going to hear the end of this 🙄) So of course I wasn't going to stop drinking forever (I'm a realist as well). So I did a bit more experimenting (and tracking) and found that on those days that I drink at night, I would generally have poor sleep. I haven't yet figured out the cause of the headaches, but for now I'm going to lump it with the extended period of bad sleep before. So these days I try not to drink past 6pm if I am home. Though patios have opened up in my area so I may not be as home as often! And I suppose I'm just going to keep doing my thing until something comes up again that spurs me to do some re-evaluating and adjusting. Bonus Story: I have been smoke-free for 74 days. I was scheduled to get my 1st COVID vaccine shot and read about blot clots, so I figured I would try NOT to poke the bear and stop smoking a week before and 28 days after it just in case (because as we all know, smoking causes blot clots! why increase my chances?). Well after the 28 days, I figured hey, I don't miss smoking, so let's just not start again. So I didn't (yet!). #patsSelfOnTheBack.
  10. Ahhh...hope dad at least had a nice rest at the hospital and be home and all well today ❤️ You make a good point about the endorphins. I went from 100 to zero after plastics on the exercise front and I'm sure that is what contributed to my weepy/icky feels that first month. I stupidly went for a run at around 3 weeks post in an attempt to feel a bit better (cuz i always feel good after exercise) and injured myself, duh. So I suppose this makes us excise addicts?? If only they could bottle endorphin feels and then maybe I could just shoot it up my arm as needed. Transfer Addiction Confirmed. 😂😂😂😂 Assuming you are normal everything (no special medical conditions or superpowers), my insignificant (and totally unsubstantiated) opinion is that you will likely continue to lose weight at 1500, given your height and likely efficient metabolism due to your regular past exercise. In a very UN-scientific comparison, we are similar-ish BMI's...assuming that I also am normal everything, I'm a good 1/2 a foot shorter than you and by my estimation don't/didn't exercise as much as you, and I lost weight when I dropped to 1500 to offset my lack of exercise due to an injured toe/foot earlier this year. It wasn't alot (lost about 6lbs over 3 months), but if I continued on that path it would have added up. Spoiler Alert: I gained almost all of those 6 lbs back now and pretty much back to my regular normal. Obviously, this is just anecdotal evidence but still. As an aside, this is why I track everything (well, also because I am anal 😂) so I can look back and determine patterns/trends/causations, etc. Its not for everybody though, so I get it. P.S. You know I love me some bikini shots. Bring 'em on!
  11. Im a cautionary tale…in didnt have implants, but I did get a breast lift. I wasn’t supposed to do vigorous exercise (i.e., running) for 2 months i think, and yep, I went at 3 weeks, and busted open my stitches at by bra line in 2 places. Doc asked me again to wait 2 months. Then I went for a run at 1 month. Split them open again. Yeah, im a dumbass. As for sit-ups, I started doing small crunches in bed around 6 weeks (around the time I could stand up straight with zero pain nor tightness) Now you didn’t ask, but i’ll mention this anyway, lol My arm lift recovery was the worst of all my procedures and it wasn’t until about month 3 (maybe 4) that I was able to do full range of motion stuff…and even then my arms were a little tight. BUT…from what I’ve read on here Im probably one of the worst-case scenario people! But i love my boobs/tummy/arms so its all good.
  12. Me Too. @xezar: During weight loss phase people would always offer me food and stuff that I didn’t want to eat and it became a bit if a chore/annoyance to politely and repeatedly decline. If a dear friend made me a cake for my bday I would’ve felt inclined to eat it (even if I didn’t want to). Luckily my bday did not fall within my weight loss phase window, lol Like someone mentioned above, maybe ask your friend if they would like a dessert from you (and if so what kind), and then go from there. Although from this quote below from your post, sounds like your friend already gave you their answer. Its kind of you to want your friend to feel “normal”, but perhaps they are looking for a different kind of normal…and you probably don’t need “to convince them otherwise”.
  13. Yayyaayayya Bikini Pics! You are looking seriously FINE. 😍 Adjusting to maintenance is a bit tricky for most. It took me 4-5 months plus an extra 15 lbs lost before I eventually stopped, gained a couple pounds and settled into my new “normal” weight (115). In the month immediately after plastics, I lost 6-7 lbs (which includes 400g of skin that was removed during surgery). Took another couple months, but I got back to 115 again. I figure give it time (especially since you just had surgery) and you’ll equalize eventually. How many calories are you taking in these days? P.S. i was pretty effing tired too that first month post-PS…and I had a serious case of the blues too so that didn’t help. Be kind/gentle to yourself as you navigate past this part (but I suppose u already know that being a nurse and all, lol). In any case, you look FAB. Feel better soon ❤️❤️❤️

    Knees

My personal experience: the knee, feet, ankle, mid and upper back pains all went away by month 2 post-op (50 lbs lighter at that point) However, these were temporarily replaced with lower back and hip pain, which i believe were due to my body/musculature/bones adjusting from having to carry the extra weight to not having to anymore so quickly….then, if I remember correctly, probably 2-3 months after they showed up, these pains went away as well. Now all I have is neck and right shoulder pain…but thats probably due to playing with my phone too much in bed, lol

Dusted off my running shoes and a pair of running pants this morning. According to my fitness app, it has been 118 days since I last went for a run (yikes!). Finally went for one this morning, and whoa, I'm outta shape. Got winded after like 20 mins so we spent about an hour "resting" at a lookout instead. LOL.

its been a while...been busying myself with some long awaited patio and pool time, the weather has been awesome, and our area finally opened up outdoor dining! yay! @kristieshannon: that red top and jeans outfit make you look super slim. and i love love your jean jacket/dress outfit. I would totally wear that, sunglasses on head and all. @starladustangel: congrats on the smaller sizes! time to get some slimmer-fitting clothes to show off the new bod @GreenTealael: funny how adding a scarf to an LBD makes the outfit look so much more shi-shi...and expensive, lol. Your side-a$$ curve is va-va-voom @smarks: hubba hubba! I'm going to steal that crochet duster of yours. @WishMeSmaller: wowza! even with the swelling you are looking fab. the boobs! and of course your legs! more bikini shots pls. are you feeling better these days? @Ellie64: um, that "halloween" dress should see more days than just halloween...you look great in it. @Dtrain84: lookin sharp as always. happy belated birthday!
  22. I ate “normally” right up until the 2 week pre-op diet, so i didn’t lose (nor try to lose) any weight. I did lose 11lbs during that 2 week pre-op diet though.
  23. In the beginning, I set a goal of 120lbs because this would put me smack dab in the middle of a "normal" weight range for my height. By the time I got down to 127lbs, I decided that was enough as I felt I was looking too thin. Now fast forward 2 years after reaching modified goal of 127, and I now weigh 112 as of this morning. The funny thing is that I actually don't think I look as thin/gaunt now as i did at 127 lbs two years ago. Soooo...I think that weight loss and/or maintenance goals in terms of total actual weight fluctuates over time because the distribution and composition of those pounds may look different at different times. I think. These days so long as my clothes don't start feeling tight I'm good, lol.
  24. Love the foods! Do you make your own kimchi???
