Ok, playing some catch-up...here goes: @GreenTealael maybe you could hold some video tutorials to those of us who own sewing machines and don't really know how to use it??? I've always had fantasies of sewing my own clothes but honestly just suck at it. and i dunno about you and @ChubRub, but I STILL wear scrunchies. And I dunno how it always happens but I swear I had my eye on a pair of braided sandals too!!! check out the ones in my shopping bag below...still trying to convince myself I need to buy them despite living in PJ's and having nowhere to wear them. @kristieshannon: the tucked-in jeans look fab on you! they fit like a glove. Also, you are looking super confident in recent pics you have been posting...you are giving off a vibe. I like it. @BayougirlMrsS: um, I want that denim vest. and I didn't even know I needed one in my wardrobe until just now. And yeah, that black printed dress wrap dress is too big at the bottom...any chance you will get it altered to fit? I think you would be curves supreme with a side order of fries if you get it taken in a bit at the bottom a little bit...or maybe shorten it so its like a flippy-mini? @Arabesque: smokes! did you actually wear all the shoes you brought for the weekend wedding?? That coat looks super warm...though i still CANNOT relate to how "cold" Brisbanians (Brisbanites?) get in "winter". I was the standout wearing capris and sandals while the locals wore fur-lined hooded parkas and boots. BTW, double thumbs for those art-deco-ish shoes you wore. I need those. @Jnfinney: congrats on the achivement and looking Hot AND Smart...an awesome combination. @Sophie7713: that's a twirling dress alright. its time to bust out the whites!!! been missing you on here. @Kris77: whoa. you int that black dress with your hair down. you look tall skinny and....posh. (ok, i never use the word "posh" in my vocabulary, but i couldn't think of a better word to use at the moment, lol) We gots a new supermodel in the ranks! @WishMeSmaller: hows the leg healing? And that last pic you posted in those amazing flared jeans just reminded me again that you are the OG supermodel round here*. BTW, another reason I am jealous of the height-blessed (do i really need yet another reason?!) is your ability to find and wear flared pants....i look like a hobbit wearing them. If I ever find a pair that is properly proportioned on me, maybe I'll change my mind. But jeez your legs length. Love em. And super excited for you and your plastics!!! You are going to be unbearable for me to look at (that's a compliment, btw, lol) *Edited to add: another OG supermodel who deserves a shout out but has been MIA for a while is @shanza ... -------------- I haven't been wearing anything worth posting so I'm empty handed today. HOWEVER, for funsies, here is one of the least unflattering of the many truly unflattering pics that I found on my phone this morning. I've been hanging out by BFFs pool alot given the fabulous weather we have been having, and yesterday it seems she took to taking a bunch of pics of me with my phone as I was asleep on the lounger. Why? To point and laugh at me later apparently. Multiple choice question: This is a pic of me after having too much: a) sun b) liquor c) sugar d) all of the above.

I’m glad i’m not the only one who doesn’t notice any scallop smell!! I started thinking I had a nose disability or something. Scallops smell like nothing but DELICIOUS to me. But...i love fish skin...though only when its crispy/charred. I may be a real minority on this one. When I was still eating rice, salmon skin hand rolls was one of my faves to order at Japanese restaurants. Oh and did I mention fish skin chips? Yum. Sorry if this makes some of you gag. Lololozzzz. -

I only WISH I had an Aldi's near me 😫 But yeah, they are some brand of "artisanal" crisps that are AWESOME. This one was cranberry and poppyseed. I personally love any of the ones with nuts and seeds in them. #YUM. (My fave is pistachio fig #superYUM): -

I think this will be the last of the charcuterie boards I will be making for a while as this is the last of the cheese and meats from last week's delivery. Grilled up some shrimp on the BBQ and made up a plate of "caprese salad" sans basil as the grocery was out of it (but is it really caprese without basil??? lol) Anyhoo, I ate one skewer of shrimp, one tomato-cheese slice, some blue cheese, some asiago cheese, 7 crackers & bit of fig jam: 508 calories (and 6oz of rosé before hand, +125 calories) -

Mr. asked me what I wanted for Mother's Day earlier this week. So I said I'd like a charcuterie board. I should have been more specific that I meant the actual wooden board, cuz the top pic below was delivered to me yesterday afternoon. LOL. So now, I am addicted to making little charcuterie spreads on a slate cheese plate I already own. It feels like I'm doing arts and crafts! 🤣 Luckily the fam loves charcuterie as much as I do so I can just keep making them over and over until my stash runs out. The bottom two pics below are shots of the two we already polished off from yesterday. #yum. P.S. Unfortunately I failed to measure and keep track of what I ate, so I'm going to guess I ate like 500 worth of charcuterie calories. #superYUM -

Tonite's dinner was a CORN-extravaganza. Clockwise from top: Grilled corn on the cob, Jalepeno & Cheddar Corn Bread, Corn Donut-Fritters with maple bacon cream cheese filling, Corn Dogs & a Corn succotash/cole slaw type of salad. I had about 1/4 cup of the slaw, 1/2 a grilled corn on cob, and 1/3 cup-ish of the corn bread. Estimating 300 calories. -

@GreenTealael that balloon topper is adorable...did you make it or did you buy it like that??!?!? Also the amount of frosting you have between the two layers of cake is ca-ray-zeee, lol. HBD, BF! @Starwarsandcupcakes is that cornucopia of food your food for an entire day, or just during work hours??? -
I don't know if its WLS surgery-related or overall-weight-loss related, or food-type-consumption-related, or what, but I do notice that I just don't sleep much anymore. I probably get about 4-5 hours of sleep a night (uninterrupted though, which is different from pre-wls when I would get up every couple hours to pee). And I'm totally fine in terms of energy and alertness when I'm awake...if anything I even lean towards more energy than not. I'm not complaining or anything...it's just interesting to note, I guess P.S. I'm 2.5 years post-op.

Weirdest None-Scale-Victory - I'll go first

So all this ring talk has inspired me to get my engagement & wedding rings resized. My fingers got too chub about 4-5 years before surgery, and then around 3-4 months AFTER surgery, they fit again (yay!). But by the time I reached goal though, they became way too big (boo!) Its weird because I even tried on rings that I had in high school that fit back then and they are too big on me now, even though I weigh about the same today as I did then. Weird. Googled how to figure out my ring size, and apparently I'm a size 5.5 now. I think my engagement/wedding rings are currently a size 7? Now I'm excited to get them resized...or maybe re-designed??? -
Not sure what your budget is or what you consider bank-breaking...but I swear by my Apple Watch. Not just as a fitness tracker, but for everything else too.

Honestly, I have no idea when figs are in season, lol. I'm in Ontario, so not even sure its grown here. I just buy the whenever they have them in Costco (but yeah, I loooooove figs, raw AND roasted, YUM. but not so much when they are dried...) -

Finally got around to unmolding the creme caramel I made yesterday but then someone took a slice before I got a chance to take a pic of the thing (p.s. we call it “Leche Flan”). I had like 1/2 tbsp like bite cuz i felt like any more and I’d dump. It was pretty delicious if you like creamy, silky, sweet, decadent, rich stuff. Its not something one would have alot of at once though, lol: -

Gathered together a bunch of stuff that needed to be used up and came up with.... FANCY TOAST. 😉 Ricotta mixed with preserved lemon & juice on toasted french bread slices, topped with truffle roasted figs and drizzled with honey...oh and some toasted walnuts on top. I ate one toast: 184 calories. -

Sunday afternoon baking of my fave cookies of all time: Amaretti Cookies! This batch was made with 1/2 cup real sugar and 3/4 cup swerve. I ate two cookies: 53 calories for both of ‘em. P.S. I also made a small creme caramel with the leftover egg yolks. Its still setting in the fridge, so haven’t turned it out yet to take a pic of it in all its syrupy glory. Can’t wait! 😂 -
I lost lots (lots! we are talking CARPETS of hair in on my bathroom floor) from months 3-6-ish. Started seeing all the little itty biitty chicken hairs sticking up around 8-9 months, i think...I am now 2.5 years out and and all those little chicken hairs are pretty much the same length as the rest of my hair, which is about shoulder length now. I already had pretty thin hair pre-op, so losing the hair was pretty noticeable. Now, i want to say its actually thicker looking than it was pre-op, but that may just be wishful thinking, lol. But its much, much better my hair loss phase for sure.

I didn't lose any weight before surgery (well, except for 11 lbs during my 2 week pre-op liquid diet...does that count?) I had a BMI of 43 at the beginning of my pre-op diet. I'm BMI 20 today. -

BBQ Pork Skewers Ate about 3/4 of 1 skewer: guessing 200 calories (+ 141 cals for an espresso martini drank while I was bbq-ing 😎) -
I did not stall at all. There may have been a couple days in a row that I didn't lose weight here and there, but every week, I logged a loss.
