Ok. Its time for an intervention. You really need to realize/internalize/bask-in-the-awesome-ness that you are NOT big anymore and do not need to wear the larger sizes. Your leggings are way too big for you...you aren't supposed to see wrinkled fabric gathers at your knees, nor have gapes at the ankle opening! You can skip the medium and go straight to small lady, maybe even extra-small. Your boobs in that sports bra, however, are fabulous.

    Drinking and eating same time

9 months out. I don't drink during nor at least 30 minutes after eating. I do, however, drink right up to the start of eating a meal.

I had a conversation about this with a pal the other day. We were talking about my planned arm lift later this year. She asked me why i felt the need to get it done, and that I should not care what anyone else thinks. I explained that I don’t care what anyone else thinks (Edit: I also care about what those near and dear to me think, like Mr and the Kid, but they think i’m awesome under all circumstances, so it’s all good ❀️), but I care alot about what I think. Like the sleeve surgery, I didn't do it for other people, I did it for me. I really dislike my flappy arms. Its a feature of my body that I try to camouflage, like an annoying pimple in the middle if my forehead. Now, Im not going to circle this pimple with a red sharpie, but I will probably put some concealer on it. Lol.

  9. @FluffyChix, wow i didnt know the extent of your situation. Glad to hear/read that you are still your unflappable self in spite of it all. Sending good vibes your way...
  10. I think the moderation approach is a more sustainable for most long term. Though, I think I'm of the camp that believes this is approach is more appropriate AFTER the losing stage. You will have a unique opportunity to build good habits for life while you are in the position to lose the most weight with the least amount of effort. Clarification: I'm not saying it won't take any effort, just that this will be the one (short period of) time in your post-surgery life that the weight will just fly off.

Thanks β™₯️ ...but the position of my arm is hiding my glorious batwing. And the loose skin on my stomach is much more prominent in real life. Though I'm relatively good with it for now. I mean, I did wear this outfit in PUBLIC. lol. I would never have dared do this before. I wouldn't have even walked around in something like this in the privacy of my own home.
  12. I dunno about #1 and #3, I don't see any obvious cause-effect of these in my experience. For #2 (not eating enough) I find the opposite is at play for me. The longer I don't eat, the less hungry I get. As for #4 (not sleeping enough), this I think rings true. I am hungrier the longer I am awake; also noticed that weight loss slowed down (or stopped altogether) when I didn't get enough sleep..possibly related to being hungrier therefore eating more?
  13. oooohhh...that dressing sounds yum, plus I have all those ingredients in my kitchen at the moment, so bonus! going to make this for my salad tomorrow . It's good to hear from people at all different stages! also...congrats on your weight loss, you are doing really well for 8 weeks post op β™₯️
  14. ^^This. You will be more than likely (if not definitely) be able to eat all the food you ate before surgery eventually.

...and here is the OOTD after a shower. It's laundry day and I put on a pair of Mr's shorts for the time being as mine were all in the laundry room. The shorts are probably 3 or 4 sizes too big for me. Excellent example of how ill-fitted clothes can be less flattering than properly fitted ones.

The OOTD for this morning as I was out and about doing a bunch of errands, then my run, and then some strength training. MInd you I had a hoodie on for the errands and the first 2 km of the run. All sweaty in this pic, but did not actually feel hot (As an aside I find this really weird: I will notice that I am dripping in sweat when I run but I still feel kind of cool and feel fine wearing a hoodie/sweater. I will take it off eventually though, not because I'm hot, but because the sweater is getting wet...anyone experience this odd sweaty-but-cold thing too? )

    Milk of magnesia ?

I used to take Clearlax (aka Miralax) everyday to keep me going. But since I stated adding chia pudding into my diet every other day or so, I will only take the Clearlax if/when I haven't gone by the 3rd day, which has been maybe 2 or 3 times in the past 2 months. Although, I have also increased the amount of fat I eat in the past two months, so that probably helps the poops coming too...
  23. Started out at 235. My surgeon said I can safely expect to get to 160-170 by my one year anniversary. Pleasantly surprised us both when I got to the mid 160's at my 3 month post op checkup. I had picked an ultimate personal goal of 120, for the only reason that it was in the middle-ish of the healthy BMI range for my height. I got to 127 at 7 months, and decided to stop as I felt I was getting to small. Am at 9 months post op today and weighed in at 116.2 this morning. Long story short, once you are on your "forever diet" I suspect our bodies decide what a realistic weight will be.
