    Meh to the scale now?

I'm with @catwoman7 on this one, perhaps the "fat" you are looking to shed is really just extra skin. The scan should tell you this. I have a body composition scale at home, though I'm not sure how accurate they are...maybe you can try one out at a store, just to get a vague idea...? Because really, your pictures don't look like someone who needs to lose another 10-20 lbs... According to this, my target weight range based on 60-80% EBW loss is 133-155lbs. I'm 5'2", and wouldn't have been happy stopping at 155. I *may* have been happy at 133 (if that was as far as I could go) because yeah, my stomach was still a little puffy, but still had good boobage going on. Now I'm quite happy with my stomach/waistline, but the price was my boobs . And butt. I think I can plump up the butt (slightly) with some targeted exercise, but my boobs are gone forever (barring any boob plastics, which I'm not particularly interested in, as there are a tonne of other things I would do first before that - if I could) Yep, I think trying to get to a weight based on clothing size in our pasts doesn't always align. I was 5'2" and 105 lbs in high school and wore a size 5. I'm 114-ish now and I can wear sizes 0-2 (or a child size 12 for fricks sakes). Mind you, a good part of this can be explained by vanity sizing, but I I'm pretty sure I'm way smaller now than I was at 105 lbs. The exercise and working out probably explains the rest.

    OOTD

The colour is awesome. I also think it needs a hemming (or some higher heeled shoes!). But the pleats at the waist aren't pleating properly...

    Meh to the scale now?

My surgeon did not set a goal weight for me. He just told me to expect to get to around 160-170 lbs by my one year anniversary. I personally initially chose 120 because it was in the middle-ish of the healthy BMI range for my height. Decided to stop at 127 instead because I was thinking I was getting too small. I'm at 114-ish today. Go Figure. Edit: Adding that I also have an arm lift scheduled for mid-December (which I booked/placed deposit on almost 2 months ago)..I will be about 14 months post op come surgery day. My PS surgeon at the time of consult told me that a weight loss of 10-15+ lbs is more problematic than the same amount in weight gain after surgery. I've lost 13 lbs since I saw him last, and I am thinking I may gain that back as part of the regular bounce back after getting to lowest weight. I see him again in September, we'll see what he says then.

    Meh to the scale now?

140 is just a number. Like the others have said, go with how you feel. I’m also a daily weigher...as I like to keep an eye on things, but that’s just me. If the weighing is giving you stress/anxiety , step back a little. You have done phenomenally!
  8. *Minor dumping. In the sense it was not as intense as "normal" dumping. I did empty out some last night, lol, just not explosive, I guess. And I wasn't limp on the bathroom floor. I annoy myself honestly. I know that sugar is not my friend, yet I will take a teeny bite, feel nothing, then take another teeny bite, rinse and repeat until I actually do feel something, then it's too late. Geez. Weight change was negligible: went from 114.5 to 114.8
  9. Yesterday's Menu - Sunday August 4th: 5'2" ♀️ 9m post-op, maintaining Was a lazy-do-nothing day yesterday eating leftovers from the party the day before. Didn't end up doing low-carb today as planned (oopsies) as we had a few late night guests drop by to help us polish off all the leftover desserts...(and I ended up helping a little too much) : Note: times are when I FINISHED eating, unless otherwise noted. 12:00 pm: black tea -- 2 cals 2:45 pm: *ate about 2/3 of this* 3oz iceberg lettuce + 1.5oz grilled peppers + 1.5 oz cucumber + 1oz feta cheese + .5 oz jalapeno + 1 fl oz garlic peanuts + 3 oz grilled mahi mahi -- 284 cals 4:45 pm: *ate the remailing 1/3 of 2:45pm meal* 6:25 pm: *ate about 1/2 of this* 3oz iceberg lettuce + 1.5 oz cucumber + 1 fl oz garlic peanuts + 4.5 oz grilled mahi mahi + 1tbsp sour cream -- 247 cals 7:45 pm: *ate the remailing 1/2 of 6:25pm meal* 9:00pm-1:30 am: 1/4 slice blueberry pie + .125 butter tart + .25 pumpkin crisp + .25 cup vanilla ice cream + .125 moon cake + 1 fl oz garlic peanuts -- 856 cals (YIKES!) Totals: 1390 cals, 77g Protein, 105g NET carbs (double YIKES!), 68g fat I was rewarded with some queasiness and some minor bathroom issues last night for my dessert-eating session, which is interesting. Looks like if I eat sugar in small quantities over a long period of time the intensity of the dumping is minimized. However, I did wake up in the middle of the with what I think was acid in my mouth. This I attribute to the fact that I went to bed way to soon after eating something.
  10. Black pepper...interesting. I’m going to try that today (after i go out and but some cottage cheese )
  11. Irrational answer: I'm still afraid of them. While I have started eating most root vegetables again, and the occasional bite of dessert (i.e, sugar), I have yet to eat any bread*/rice/pasta since surgery (I don't even know how my body will take it). I'm not ready! 😨 *EDIT: Actually, now that I think of it, I have had "bread" as I've had bites of cake and pie...just not "traditional" bread like loaves/sandwiches/buns/etc.

    Dumping...oh lawd!

@NYJenn how much time passed since you ate (or drank something caloric) and when you took this reading?
  16. Um...so all this time I thought I had a lumpy lower abdomen due to stubborn fat deposits or uneven fat loss.  Turns out two of those lumps are my hip bones.

Yep. This was me EXACTLY that first month after deciding to stop (I lost over 9lbs and I was freaking out a bit) This is what helped me (may be different for others): move the focus from trying to up your volume to choosing higher calorie foods instead: nuts, seeds, nut butters, avocados, cheese, butter, cream, sauces, fattier proteins, olive oil, full fat everything...I do still try to avoid sugar for the most part though) I also think (and counting on really) that there will be the several pound bounce up in weight eventually, and since I have this cushion, I am completely fine with it. Good Luck, and keep us posted!

Check out the calculator at ruled.me ...can customize based on what your priorities are (min protein, max carb, weight loss deficit/maintain, etc...) For me, I am alot more lax about my macros than when in weight loss mode. Except for the protein...I actively aim for a min of 60g of protein, but I often take in much more than 60g (though I should probably up my minimum due to my exercise habits..) - Right now I am most comfortable when my NETcarbs are about 25-35g, but I am still ok going up to 50-60g. Above that and I start making plans to limit my intake for the next day to bring down my average. I anticipate this will change as time goes by. - As for fat, I seem to just let it fall where it may. I rely mostly on fat to increase my calorie intake levels.
