  1. First: "Also, I am not leaning to one side, I am just not symmetrical." Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!! 🤣 Now, that is so odd that you can't tighten your belt, because your midsection is exponentially smaller-looking than your before pic. And FLATTER. High five, surgeon. Did you also get something done with your boobs? They look perkier...or are you wearing a different sports bra? P.S. I'll try to remember to take some pics after my shower later and if they are worthy, I'll post them (all my incisions are still covered in steri-strips and I'm still swollen so it'll probably look meh). Also since the TT was a last minute decision, I don't have proper before pics of my stomach. Actually...I'ill email my surgeon's office now and see if they will forward pics he took of me last June. Edited to Add: UPDATE: surgeons office got back to me: they aren't in the office until after the New Year, so will have to wait for the tummy Before Pics till then. I'll see if I can dig up some pics of my entire tummy bare somewhere....

    7 Months Post Op

    Hi @Brent701: Your calorie intake seems like weight loss cals for someone of your height (especially being a male). If you aren't doing so already, try cutting out or greatly reducing your carbs, doing so will definitely (and quickly) make a difference on the scale. Mind you, the first few pounds of loss will be primarily made up of water weight, but seeing the scale go down is a great motivator (and will help with the frustration you are feeling). And like Fluffy mentioned above, many members on this board have found success with one IF strategy or another. And of course the basics: drink lots of water, get enough sleep, get in regular exercise. Being a dude, you would also statistically benefit from from some weight training... Good Luck! P.S. you look great! Don't forget you've done awesomely to get to where you are.

    @sillykitty :: hoping all well with you...❤️
  8. I didn't have drains in my arms...so there was that.
  9. Agreed. Come join us on the dark side here: P.S. LOVE that your socks don't match.
  10. Hand swelling comparison Day 1 (morning after surgery) vs today, Day 9 (they are almost back to normal, but not quite) One of my nurses in the hospital joked that my left hand looked like a blown up surgical glove.
  11. Do you also track what you eat? I find recording my daily weight (regardless if it's higher or lower than the previous recording) is useful to cross-reference with what I ate, how much water I drank, how much I exercised, time-of-month or whatever if i feel the need to de-mystify weight changes and/or recognize trends. ...but that's just the anal nerd in me. I know this is not for everyone. LOL.

    to implant or not to implant

    Short answer: BREAST LIFT. Long answer: I had a breast reduction in 2005. I went from a 38 DDD/DDDD to a 36 DD. 3 lbs of breast tissue removed from both breasts combined. Like you, I had the lollipop procedure where he cut out my nipple and sewed it back up higher. I also had a wonky right nipple. One side of it healed in a permanent crease and I basically had 1/2 and inverted nipple, if you can visualize that. Fast forward to last year at my highest weight, and my bra size was 40DDD or 42DD. Because of the higher nipple placement, the weight gain did not make me look so very droopy. After the weight loss, I now wear a 30B, (or the mythical 28C, which in theory I was supposed to fit, so says my fitter). I also had pregnant doggy boobs when I bent over (they still looked OK standing straight up, just much smaller). Had my breast lift last week and am loving them so far. They are high and perky and round, like teenage boobs (am hoping this is not due primarily to swelling!) I don't know what size bra I will be wearing now, since they are higher up (and my back is wider higher up), but I am definitely not flat-chested, and both Mr. and I think the boobs actually look a little bigger cuz they are higher up. And I'm not even wearing a push up bra. Oh, and surgeon ended up cutting out both my nipples and sewing them back on. The wonky one to fix the funny crease, and the the other one cuz he felt they would be mismatched if didn't make it smaller. Edited to add: I originally got the breast lift primarily to address my side boob (with the lift just as an added bonus), but am now doubly glad I got it seeing the results so far.
  16. My forearms, wrists and hands were pretty swollen and moderately sore immediately after surgery...am 9 days post op today and they have almost gone back to normal size, and no longer hurt. I can see my knuckles and tendons on the back of my hand again. Were they they same way when you were using the garment? Or have they gotten worse? (This may mean your ace bandages are wrapped to tight). ...also elevation helps: keep your forearms/hands higher than your heart. I found this was easiest achieved in a reclining position with your hands on a long pillow across my body.

    Nope, no cramping or nausea. So that's a win (so far). Lots of liquids, lots of peeing. Fluffy, please, please, point out how great you are doing. I firmly believe in self-back-patting as a good excellent thing. (Plus I personally get my own little thrill from other's successes, so yeah, don't deprive ME!!!) ❤️

    Daily Menus for Maintenance

    Yesterday, Wednesday, Dec. 25 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / ??? lbs (last weight in 115.0 lbs on Dec 18th) ---------------------------------------- Lots of cookie and custard tart eating yesterday (which made up the vast majority of my total cals for the day, lol). It was spread out throughout the day, so I didn't get to the level of death. My current bowel situation kept me from eating more than I really wanted to overall, but I probably still ate too much, considering. Also for the first time in forever, I did not have a single drop of alcohol at a party/gathering where I was not designated driver. I'm still on prescription meds and on a regular schedule of Benedryl at the moment, so I figure I should lay off the booze.) ---------------------------------------- 12:00pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + 1/2 fl oz pumpkin seeds + 1.5 oz white cheddar + 2 oz grilled chicken + 1/3 chocolate chip cookie + 1/3 double fudge cookie + 1/3 white chocolate macadamia cookie 3:00pm - 2 oz honey glazed ham + 1/2 Portuguese custard tart 6:00pm to 2:00am - salad w/ vinaigrette + 1 oz grilled chicken + 1 oz honey glazed ham + 1 oz white cheddar + 1 tbsp tzatziki + 1 tbsp sliced almonds 1 short bread cookie 1/2 Portuguese custard tart 1/4 chocolate chip cookie 1/2 white chocolate macadamia cookie 3 oz roast pork w/ 2 tbsp gravy ---------------------------------------- Totals: 1717 cals - 96g Protein - 110g NET carbs - 96g fat

    Daily Menus for Maintenance

    I told my surgeon at my followup appointment on Monday (4 days ago), and he said lay off the narcotics if I can (and I did), drink lots of water (doing), keep with the colace (yep), MOM (yep), suppositories (not yet...). Surprisingly, he said give my PCP a call if I start to experience pain or reach 14 poop-less days, whichever comes first. 14 effing days?!?!? That's just nuts to me.

    @FluffyChix: I can feel the happiness/satisfaction/"I-am-awesome"-ness in your post ❤️ . Congrats on breaking another barrier! P.S. I also do the "pause-and-ask-myself-if-i-really-want-it" approach
  22. * TMI ALERT: look away if you have a tendency to get barfy or cringe * I'm scared that all these measures I am taking are basically just making the "ready-to-come-out stuff" grow bigger and bigger but ultimately blocked by some immovable bit of plug out in front. Like what's gonna happen if there is a bunch of watery stuff in my intestines/bowels that insist on coming out but is physcally blocked by other matter?!?!? I visit the toilet often with hope in my heart, LOL. Though I am very windy*, (Ha, @Arabesque! I got to use the term!!) that's all that's coming out down there. I am not in pain nor am I so very uncomfortable, but I can feel my stomach bloating bigger and bigger with each passing day (though how much if this bloat is attributed to PS swelling, I don't know). Mr. is out getting some prunes and prune juice for me. He has also agreed to help me with a suppository tomorrow morning if I continue to shoot blanks in the washroom till then (he must really love me, LOL).
  23. Short answer is no. You cannot target weight loss to a specific body part and have the rest remain the same.
  24. Had dose of MOM this am (about 5 hours ago). I just asked Mr. to to pick me up some prunes and prune juice, thx! I'm contemplating downing a bowl of REAL ice cream...I haven't decided yet if feeling like death for a couple hours is worth it. Or if it will even work....
