Yesterday, Sunday, Jan. 12 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 114.9 lbs ---------------------------------------- Highlight of my day yesterday was going Costo shopping to stock up on salad greens and chicken breasts. Weather sux here at the moment, so no outdoor walks. I've been feeling achy all over lately and as a result spent most of the day (again) on the couch or taking naps (I may be coming down with something?). Did I tell you that I totally binge watched "Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan" this weekend? LOL. 2 seasons in less than 2 days. #addictedToThisShow #iNowHaveAcrushOnJohnKrasinski #bringOnSeasonThree ---------------------------------------- 1:00pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + cucumber + carrots + 1 oz baked pork loin + 3 naked chicken wings w/ hot sauce + 1/3 cup potato bacon soup 3:00pm - 3 naked chicken wings w/ hot sauce 7:00pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + cucumber + carrots + 1/2 oz avocado + 1/2 fl oz pumpkin seeds + 2 naked chicken wings w/ hot sauce 10:00pm - 1 skinny amaretto sour (my version, LOL: 1 fl oz amaretto + 1/2 cup perrier + 1/2 cup skinny girl mojito mix + 1 tbsp lemon juice #sooooooYuuuuuummmmie) + 1 oz dark chocolate + 1/4 cup deluxe mixed nuts ---------------------------------------- Totals: 1187 cals - 65g Protein - 50g NET carbs - 71g fat

A Tale of Two Arm Lifts (rs & ms.sss)
ms.sss replied to ms.sss's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
After my shower today, I'm going to put mine on too. I dunno, ever since they took my steri-strips off, my arms have been feeling achy and painful along the incisions. And to a lesser extent, my tummy incisions. I'm not sure if it's just coincidence or not...as I started massaging in earnest at the same time too. -
Way to Go!!! ❤️

7:33pm EST: Edited to change Album Name Ok, so I wanted to show you guys a before and after of my boob cuz I just have the biggest crush on them. However. Bare boobs are like 18+, so I tried to de-XXX it by putting a little censoring flower-sticker on the image...BUT it hides what I think is the best part of it (the perky tip!, lol). Soooo...I instead put a cartoon filter on it, so it looks less real and more like an "artist's rendition". Hopefully this is not offensive to anyone. If it is, please let me know and I will remove it. Anyhoo...I was going to include a link to the photo here, but it shows a preview, and I don't want to surprise anyone coming to this thread with a gratuitous boob shot. So if you want to take a look: go to my Profile (ms.sss) go to Albums and you can see it in the album titled "ms.sss PS pics (xxx)" Image Caption: Notice the flat, saggy, spread-to-the-sides-of-my-body pancake-y shape of the BEFORE boob with flat wrinkly nipple VS the perky, gravity-defying 16-yrs old-ish AFTER boob w/ stand-at-attention-nipples, LOL. The line you see under the AFTER boob is not a skin-wrinkle nor fold, its my incision line, so It sorta makes it look like its resting on my torso, but in the real life picture, you would be able to see that its staying up there all on its own. -

They are definitely slimy, LOL. You need to rinse them really well (Warning: they smell fishy straight out of the package). FluffyChix long ago gave a tip to fry em up in a dry hot pan to remove alot of the moisture. It really helps, and gets rid of more of the smell. They are more like soup noodles than regular pasta noodles and have no actual taste by themselves...they pick up the flavour of what you add to them. ...and they are SUPER filling (well, for me at least). -

@catwoman7 what brand silicone gel did you use? -
I believe they are the same, just different shapes. This is the one I have (they are technically called "sheets" but are long and thin (see pic below) P.S. I wanted to get the one that you have (the one that starts with a "c", i forget the name...) but they don't sell it here and are pretty expensive to buy online on this side of the border )

I mentioned earlier that Doc's PA told me to wait to put the silicone tape on. I googled this after reading your post and google seems to say to put it on ASAP on "immature scars". I think I'm going to put my tape on now and not wait until another 3 weeks as suggested by the PA. They were going to give me a supply of tape at my next appointment (in 3 weeks) but I have a stash of my own, so.... I find that my incisions on my left arm have been feeling prickly and itchy and low-key sore since they took my steri-strips off and I'm thinking the silicone tape me provide some relief..? -

I found the same thing with me after my breast reduction years and years ago. I have maybe like 10 very fine hairs in each armpit. I don't know if this arm lift will get rid of those last few hairs for good, but I totally wouldn't mind at all if it did -
I just spent the last 2 hours on the Shein website. I've got 113 items in my favourites and I haven't even got to dresses and beachwear yet....!!!

Look at that super flat tum!!! And your arms look great! You totally got the club kid look down pat And you are OOOOOZZZZING confidence

Yesterday, Friday, Jan. 10 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1yr PO Sleeve / 115.4 lbs ---------------------------------------- Purposefully ate little during the day as we had planned to go out for dinner at one of my fave french restaurants. Sadly, for various unremarkable reasons, we ended up at an Italian restaurant, which was ok, but I was looking forward to something else, so it was kinda a letdown. I ended up drinking more than I ate. Stopped for a little ice cream on the way home and rewarded with a gurgly stomach for an hour or so. ---------------------------------------- 9:00am - 1/2 black coffee w/ stevia 12:00pm - Salted Caramel Coffee/Tea Latte (leftover coffee + green tea bag + almond milk + sugar free salted caramel syrup) 1:30pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + cucumber + carrots + 1 oz apple + shirataki noodles + 2 fl oz homemade meat sauce 5:30pm to 9:00pm - 1 coconut amaretto sour (YUM!!!) 3 glasses red wine 1 gin & soda water 2 tbsp spinach & artichoke dip w/ 5 KETO bagel chips (I had some in my purse, lol, I brought them cuz I planned on ordering foie gras at the french restaurant...) ~1 oz fresh mozzarella w/ hazelnut balsamic glaze (barely) 1/4 cup spinach salad w/ pickled beets, goat cheese, pear, toasted almonds, lemon honey dressing 1 bite of grilled salmon (~ 1/2 oz) 1/4 cup salted almond marzipan ice cream 11:00pm - salad w/ vinaigrette + 1 oz apple + 1 fl oz pumpkin seeds + 1 oz cashews + 1 oz white cheddar + 1 slice proscuitto ---------------------------------------- Totals: 1909 cals - 60g Protein - 128g NET carbs - 91g fat

I count what I drink out of my water bottle, water I add to tea, water I add to broths, and water I add to make a protein shake (as I use powders) I usually get in 2-3 litres a day (67-100 fl oz).

THE SLOW LOSERS CLUB SUPPORT THREAD
ms.sss replied to Serengirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Okay. "Slow" or "Fast" is all relative. IN THE BEGINNING, its normally easier for a 300lb person to lose 4-5 lbs a week vs a 225lb person. I started at 235 lbs 2 weeks before surgery. I just looked it up, and not counting the first month post op, I averaged 2.8 lb loss a week until I reached goal in 7 months, with a total loss at that time of 110 lbs (which includes the 11 lbs I lost in my two week pre-op diet). I DO NOT think my 2.8 lbs weekly loss as slow in any way whatsoever. In fact, I think it was wickedly fast. I stuck to my plan those 7 months. Pretty strictly. I made sure to get in my exercise. I figured there was time later for a looser diet AFTER I lost the weight. I am now 1 year & 3 months post op and my total loss is standing at 120 lbs, which is more than 1/2 my total (NOT excess) body weight. Today I am 115lbs with a BMI of 21. I'm 5'2". However. Full disclosure, I am of the CICO camp. I also understand that some peoples' CICO exchange are alot more efficient than others' due to a gazillion reasons. But I at the base level, it holds true. You can't argue science. If you don't eat a stick of food for a month, I guarantee you, you will lose a whole lotta weight, no matter what issues you have. Is this healthy? Hells no. But is it fact? Hells yes. With that said, I do also understand that there are folks who need to vent their frustrations, as it makes one feel better to feel understood and commiserate with others who find themselves in the same boat. There is security and camaraderie in numbers. I mean, it does sorta suck to be told "this is all your own making", regardless if it is true or not. The title of this thread is the "SLOW LOSERS CLUB SUPPORT GROUP". Its clear that the purpose of this thread is for those who believe they are slow losers (whatever the criteria is to qualify oneself as such) and to vent and share their frustrations, and not to attend a science lesson. Perhaps another, separate thread can be started for the purpose of continuing this debate, and this thread can be left to those who need it to get through. I would think that those who want the information will go there to find it. Of course no one is stopping anyone from posting what they think, when they think it, to wherever they want. Good Luck, everyone. -
I've never seen that "misses kisses" one before...interesting. I have a bra like the one below that I used when I was heavier and worked great. It's called a U-plunge I'll def buy another one in my current size if the need arises. Edited to add A pic of me wearing it a long time ago.. The pic at the at the bottom is me wearing it under a dress about 10 years ago. I was about a 36DD at the time. Here is a pic of me wearing it underneath a dress. I was about a 36 DD in this pic.

I haven't experimented with the alt pasta types yet. Mr. brought me to a low-carb grocery store nearby and saw a whole corner wall of them. Don't remember if Zerooodles were one the brands but will try one form or another eventually, I guess. P.S. Not really worth it for Canadians to buy off BP Store cuz the shipping fees are pretty high (plus there would likely be duties) -

So we're going out to dinner tonite to my 2nd favourite french restaurant (bring on the fat!), and I totally plan on having a couple/few glasses of wine, so today's first meal of the day is of the low-cal sort to make some caloric room for tonite's anticipated indulgences: 4oz shirataki noodles + 2 fl oz home-made low sugar meat sauce + Salad, of course (greens + carrots + cucumber + apple) 147 calories - 9g protein + 8g NET carbs + 7g fat ** I ate all the noodles & sauce (super filling!) but have about 1/3 salad left over...which I will have as a snack later. -
😳 Whoa. You. Have. Got. Legs. For. Days. *wolf-whistles* I think the bra you are wearing is doing you just FINE. HOT!

Ah, you're lucky you don't get the regular symptoms. Though throwing up DOES still sucks on its own. For me the absolute worst dumping symptom is the death feelings after the "expelling" of the offending food (weakness, lethargy, nausea, head spinning...sorta like a horrible non-alcoholic hangover) that lasts for like an hour or so. -

@FluffyChix I am currently enjoying a new hot beverage myself!!! I cracked open a SF Salted Caramel Syrup Mr. bought me, and OMG its effing delicious. 1/2 of leftover black coffee (about 10oz) + Green Tea Bag w/ 10oz more water + 1/8 cup unsweetened almond milk + 1 tsp SF Salted Caramel Syrup (though I will probably make it next time with 1/2 teaspoon to make it less sweet...) 7 cals - 0.1g protein - 0.0g NET carbs - 0.4g fat
