As requested...(LOL): Went a little nuts at the bakery yesterday and bought a ridiculous amount of treats for no other reason other than seeing your treats and salivating over them, @MarvelGirl25!! Going to stop by BFF's place (AND Mom's place AND in-laws's place) tonite to offload some of this cuz there is no way we would be able to eat all of this deliciousness without passing out in sugar comas. I didn't actually eat ANY of this yesterday for various reasons, but I did have 1/4 of a biscotti, 1 bite of the Kid's cannoli and 1 bite of Mr's egg tart this morning...it's a good thing we're getting rid of most of this later today! #tooYummyToHaveAround This is a pic of what is still left from my bakery shopping spree (and currently sitting on my kitchen counter, calling out my name, lol): -

Today's first meal of the day: a MEATBALL about the size of my fist. Since I didn't order anything else, I figured it would be easy-peasy to polish this baby off. Got through maybe a little over a 1/3 of it and was STUFFED. What the heck did they put in this thing?? -

Can I please be invited over for dinner at your place? 🙏🏼 -
In my own narrow experience I find that bingeing begets bingeing. Or, eating a bunch of sugar/carbs after restricting for a long-ish amount of time results in me craving it more after that first re-introduction into my diet. For me, I don't have very much difficulty differentiating between hunger and cravings, though I have read enough on here to know that there are lots who do. Have you tried drinking water when the hunger pains come around? Does that make any difference? On the other hand, you may really just be legit hungry. I took a quick look back at a few days of your most recent menu postings. You generally take in very little fat* (most of the time). Personally, I find that fat in my diet tends to keep me satiated longer, as does dense protein. Besides the 2oz of beef you had yesterday (and maybe the lavish roll? not sure how that sits in a tummy), everything else was pretty slider-ish...this *may* be contributing to any real hunger feelings... *Note: Fat and its consumption is a bit controversial on here, some restrict it alot, others not so much. I tend to not really be concerned about fat. I tend to be more concerned about looking at carbs & protein and just let the fat fall where it may...(within total caloric limits of course)

Did I get shorter ???
ms.sss replied to KesselRunnerU12P's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
LOL, I did get shorter (by about 1/2 inch) but I doubt it was noticeable by anyone other than my doc's measuring pole... Visually though, I think I look taller (not shorter) because I am less wide... -

ms.sss replied to msilva_777's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok. @MissPennyP: First, instructions from teams vary greatly from one person to another. I would always tend to say to listen to your team, but to also supplement this with asking them questions, and doing your research (not just on public forums, but also from the gazillion studies and article published out there on the good ol' internet). I will admit that your prescribed diet does sound very different from the majority of what I have read here and elsewhere. HOWEVER, there was one fella on here on here who was also prescribed a similar diet to yours this early on and self-reported some significant success (I can't remember his handle name, and he recently announced that he was no longer participating on this board...which I suspect was partly due to the flack he was getting about his diet, but I digress...). If you are sticking to under 700 cals are day, you will lose weight. Not as fast as those who did 300-400 in the early months (myself included), but you will lose. You are barley a month out of surgery, stick to your a low cal (preferably low carb as well) and keep going. Continue to stay honest with yourself with what you are eating and what you are doing and you will see the weight come off. Get some exercise and move, that will help too. Speak to your team and let them know your concerns. Do your research. Make informed decisions. You will get out of this surgery what you put into it. Good Luck!! -

BREAKING NEWS: I wore my pre-op jeans yesterday for like 8 hours AND I didn't feel like I was going to bust open the buttons! Also, I measured my waist this morning, and it is back to my pre-op measurement!! If you remember, I had swelled to +5.5" in that area, yikes. ...I continue, however, to be on lower-belly and upper-thigh watch for any signs swell decrease. Le sigh. -
Nope. NOT. AT. ALL. Of course you are not a terrible person. I've seen the effort you have put in the past couple months, and I get you are probably feeling pretty sh*tty at the moment. We've all been there. And it sucks. And it's challenging to pull oneself up. And that sucks too. It's really nice you have the ability to recognize you need to clear your head. Do what you need to do to refrain from beating yourself up, and when you forgive yourself, get back on that train you were riding for the very next meal. You have been doing awesome, one day doesn't take all that away. *hugs*

Sorry, right I should clarify..I don't consider the daily changes (I actually rely on a moving average). I'd look at the numbers at the end of a given 2 week period vs the numbers at the beginning of said period. Also as side note: during weight loss phase, my weight would fluctuate +/- 1 to 1.5 lbs every day; in maintenance I've been known to fluctuate +/- 3 to 3.5 lbs day to day.

@MarvelGirl25 : sounds like your fam is like ours...we don't do birthDAYS, we do birthWEEKS (and week long anniversaries too, lol) ...also these tarts/pastries made my stomach MOVE just now. #yumYumYumYum ...am already planning on asking Mr. to take us to the bakery after lunch today when he gets back from his run... #futureYUM -
Everyone has a different definition of what a stall is, unfortunately. I don't know about everyone else, but for me a stall is when a person's weight does NOT move up nor down, AND their body measurements does NOT increase nor decrease, for TWO CONSECUTIVE WEEKS, while all other things remain equal (i.e., the person makes no changes in diet nor activity level during this time). So based on this criteria (which I realize others may not subscribe to), I never had a stall.

Good point @catwoman7...didn't realize there were two different posters probs on here! Oopsies @msilva_777: what @catwoman7 said. Also it would help others troubleshoot if you updated your profile with your stats and provide a couple day's worth of data of what exactly you eat/drink in a day. @MissPennyP : see above... -

From your screenshot it says you consumed 300+ calories for breakfast... What was your total calories for the entire day? (I'm unsure if the 668 shown for calories is total consumed? Or total remaining?) -

Oooooh those shoes! I love me some sparkle!! So far am very pleased with my PS results esp my boobs. I'm still carrying what looks like a 3 month old fetus in my belly (which I reealllyyyy reaaallly want to go away already) but i am very happy with the smoothness of my abdomen...no more wrinkled fabric! My only soreness now is along the incisions of my underboob, my arms and tummy are just tight now, but no pain, yay! Now I'm occupied with wondering how my scars will turn out... 5 lbs is a lot to remove! (I had a measly 400g removed, lol) Can't wait to see how your new bod will look in your gala dress...hope you post some pics so everyone can bask in your awesomeness.
