Food Before and After Photos

I think 2-3 months AFTER I stopped weight loss phase was when I relaxed quite a bit. I mean, I still log everything and and avoid certain things to an extent (I'm looking at you bread), but I don't have the stress/anxiety/worry associated with it anymore. I eat indulgent foods sometimes (I'm looking at you dessert), and I don't feel so very bad about it. It's just my new normal, I guess. -

Ok, I guess if I stopped eating after 20 minutes, I would totally be eating ALOT less. Though if I did, I would probably get back into weight loss mode. Am used to taking forever to eat - don't even care if my food is cold anymore. ...and I'm with you about the desserts, LOL -

...a 1/4 when you are hungry? I could prolly eat that entire thing on a regular, "no-meh-to-food" day. It might take me an hour or so, but I could probably do it. Lots of room in my tum for salad...its that chicken that would take some work... P.S. It looks soooooo delicious -

Right? Slimies are an odd bird. When I barf up slimies, there is no heaving nor any shortness of breath like regular barfing. I just "burp" and all this slime comes out with like no effort. We're talking Ghostbusters-level slime. #yuck. I love cottage cheese! Sometimes when I get an ice cream craving, and I don't feel like dealing with the sugar in the ice cream, I'll have a bowl of cottage cheese with frozen berries instead. Does the trick! Try it with black pepper! Or cayenne! Or any fruit! With seeds/nuts! I've even had it with anchovies, LOL. #dontJudgeMe I hear ya on the carbs. I had been low carb-ing for about a week, and I can feel that I am more tired/slower than usual (Though this may be also due to the low cals as well). I had hoped that the low carbing would help reduce my lower abdomen swelling, but NOPE, swell hell persists. Also, I can already see my cheeks and eye sockets hallowing out again (but again, this is prolly also due to the low cal intake). Do you notice if the increased carb intake has filled out your face again?

Yesterday Saturday, Feb 22 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1.33 yrs PO Sleeve / 113.4 lbs ---------------------------------------- Don't know whats going on...had another day of slimies I don't know if I am getting the slimies because I'm not eating much, or I'm not eating much because I have the slimies. I did just come back from Costco shopping this AM, so there is now a drawer full of salad greens & other good stuff so maybe if I get back to my regular diet and start eating "normally" again, the scale will stop going down. The Kids says to just eat some cookies. Mr. says cut back on the coffee. I like the Kid's suggestion better. 😎 ---------------------------------------- 9:00am - black coffee w/ stevia 12:30pm - 2.5 oz pan fried brussel sprouts in bacon fat + 1/2 package shiratake noodles + 2.5 oz grilled chicken + 1 tsp garlic chili oil * ate a few bites of this * 5:00pm - * 1/2 the leftovers of 12:30pm meal * + 2 oz chicken adobo 8:00pm - * the rest of the leftovers of 12:30pm meal * + 1/2 cup canned corn niblets + 3 oz grilled chicken + 1 tsp garlic chili oil 10:00pm - 1/2 cup cashew milk --------------------------------------- Totals: 560 cals - 47g Protein - 24g NET carbs - 26g fat

I basically had salad + some kind of protein almost every single meal (90% of the time the protein was grilled chicken breast). Sometimes I would add some cooked veggies, but I prefer crunchy (raw) veggies. I may be in the minority, but no, I never got bored of it (I guess I just love salad). Most of my meals even now are still salads with some sort of protein on them (by choice! lol). Though now, I may add other "toppings" that I didn't when I was in weight loss phase (cheese, berries, sauces, oils, carrots, nuts, bacon, eggs, or a bit of whatever leftovers there are in the fridge from the fam's meals, etc...) It's weird, but I really like to cook/prepare food, smell food, look at food, watch others eat food, order food (lol), but when it comes down to actually eating it, I'm like, meh. Unless its dessert, lol. Even now, I was soooo excited to get home and make this noodle bowl. Excited while I was grilling the chicken and excited pan frying the sprouts...then I sat down to dig in, had literally 3 pieces of chicken and one bite of noodles and 1 crispy brussel sprout leaf, and then I'm like, meh. It ain't no salad (I really need to go grocery shopping!) (will take another crack at the noodle bowl it later, but my brussel sprouts will be soggy later...boo) -
@nymatnldy, missed responding to this...since Fluffy mentioned you may be talking to me, I'll throw in my two cents (sorry if you weren't talking to me!) Are you able to keep the weight off. Well, I am only 1yr, 4mnths post op, so I think its a little early to tell if I "have kept the weight off". But I think I may be able to, given the huge changes in my eating and exercise habits. I also currently have no deprivation feelings based on my current diet and I actually LOVE to run and be active, so this can only help me be successful, right? I will say that based on what I read on here, I may be a bit of an outlier in that I can take in a relatively high amount of calories for my frame (I'm sure there are others out there like me, they just don't post as much as I do, or not at all). I'm 5'2", 114 lbs (as of this morning), and I can maintain a weight of 113-118 lbs on about 1800-2000 cals*. I think though that my exercise and strength training throughout weight loss phase really helped to amp up my metabolism. That and just dumb luck. *I have barely exercised in the past 2 months due to PS recovery, and it looks like I maintain around 1500-1800? Hard to tell as I don't have enough data, and my cal intake has been all over the place. I had to keep my calories low or I gained. How many calories are you taking daily, on average? And are you looking to lose weight, or maintain?

Yesterday Friday, Feb 21 Maintenance : 5'2" / 1.33 yrs PO Sleeve / 114.0 lbs ---------------------------------------- Seriously. If I don't go grocery shopping soon, I'm going to have to go back to eating all the sugar-laden stuff in the pantry... Also, had a weird day of slimies and chest fullness yesterday. I barfed up slime 4 times. Finally took a Nexium around 8pm and felt a little better by bedtime. And this morning I feel fine again. ---------------------------------------- 10:00am - black coffee w/ stevia 12:30pm - 1.5 oz pork adobo + 1.5 oz roast chicken + 1.5 tbsp tzatziki + 1/2 tsp chili oil 4:30pm - 1/3 cup cashew milk + 1/2 cup cottage cheese + 1/2 fl oz pumpkin seeds + 1 oz blueberries 7:30pm -3 oz roast chicken + 1.5 oz pork adobo + 3 oz pan fried brussel sprouts in bacon fat + 1/2 cup cottage cheese + 1.5 fl oz pumpkin seeds --------------------------------------- Totals: 940 cals - 85g Protein - 42g NET carbs - 49g fat

From what DOC told me (and what I've read online), the massaging is to help break up scar tissue...so yeah, I think it to help flatten it out and not be so hard. I dunno if its working much on me as I am being very "light touch" about it. Doc gave me a demonstration of how much pressure to apply and it HURT!, I haven't even come close to massaging myself at that level! But I do what I can, my incisions do feel a little better afterwards, and the seem looser (could just be all in my head though). My scars on my tummy and boobs are pretty much flat, but sections along my arms are still raised. HOWEVER, they are still pretty red-ish in colour. I tend towards Keloids, so this was expected. I'm ok with it, historically my scars fade, but it takes longer than regular people. Though Doc is giving me steroid shots next month to help them along. I'm really happy with the end result size of my arms a well (despite the fact that my muscles have gotten noticeable smaller the past 2 months...well at least to me). Even though the recovery was/is not ideal, I'm still glad I got it done. But this experience has soured me for FUTURE PS though, lol. Can't wait to see some after pics! ❤️ P.S. I put the tape back on just on my arms yesterday and feel "safe" again. LOL -
Awww...you are adorable ❤️ Congrats on the weight loss!

Well that's a good reason to buy new ones. AND i don't think the expense should be counted towards your clothes budget as the new shoes can be considered to be operationally necessary to replace an already existing function. Right? LOL

I'm surprised you haven't blown your entire budget for the YEAR, with all the cool new threads you have been modelling for us ❤️

This is more or less what I did. I was pretty strict on salads and protein and low carb and low cals throughout weight loss phase. ...once that was over and settled into maintenance, I'm alot more flexible, and have been known to indulge every once in a while. Since you are still in weight loss phase, the approach you stated above is probably your best bet to be even more successful. Also, you may very well form habits during weight loss phase that you can carry into maintenance that will help you sustain your goal once you get there. ❤️
