  1. So the circumferential TT is like a Lower Body Lift? (i.e, you get your a$$ lifted up as well?) The one cool thing about the TT that I have noticed (and others have mentioned it as well) is that you get the welcome side effect of the front of your thighs smoothing out a bit since they yank everything up! Your circumferential TT will likely have the same effect on the back of you thighs 😎#yay As for the Breast Lift, the awesome thing about that is that (at least for me) all my side boob was removed. I used to have this "oozing of skin" out the arm hole openings of the tank tops. Not anymore! Though my boobs are smaller now than since puberty, I don't mind it one bit, LOL. Don't forget to take before pics! A hobby you may very well form afterwards is showing people "before and after" collages...lol. And finding excuses to take off your clothes...lolololzzzz
  2. I feel like its been AGES since I had a salad (in reality, its probably been like 2 days, lol) Romaine + baby spinach + carrots + cucumber + grilled chicken breast + vinaigrette + spices. Ate it ALL. YUM. 147 cals: 19g protein, 4g fat, 1g NET carbs
  3. Me and the (almost-16 yr old) Kid were weighing ourselves yesterday and I realized that our current COMBINED weights is LESS than what I weighed on the day I had wls.

    Craziness.

  4. @ChubRub sorry, I just realized we sort of hijacked your thread for a bit there... But back to your PS obsession, lol: What is your MMO going to consist of? Have you decided? (I know different surgeons do different combinations of procedures and then label them MMO's...)
  5. My first week post op, I barely took in 300 calories that WEEK total. Barely any water, and no vitamins (yikes!) My team just said to do the best I can. After that first week I was still mostly under 300 A DAY until about the end of month two (mostly protein shakes). I was able to down more water and all my vitamins at this time, so that was a good thing. By end of month 3 I was around 500-600 a day (note though that i'm only 5'2" and my starting weight was 235...) By my 3 month follow up, all my labs were perfect (other than being a little high on B12). Soooooo....what I guess I'm saying is that I wouldn't worry too much (I know, easier said!). Keep up with your appts and your doc/labs will let you know if there is something to be worried about, or need to adjust. One week of low cals and no vitamins isn't going to any real lasting damage (I think, lol - check with your doc). P.S. ...and YES, the ultra-low cals plus the fact that we are so big in the beginning is EXACTLY why we lose so much those first weeks/months 😎
  6. @Darktowerdream as with during weight loss, everyone and their mother will have an opinion on so many aspects of you: your decision to do wls (but its the easy way out!) how you look (you're too skinny!), what you should do (exercise now! its too early to exercise!), what you should eat (eat carbs! don't eat carbs!), and your decision to do plastics (its too early! you should see your excess skin as a badge of honour! just exercise it off!). Take whatever opinions/advice that you want and leave the rest. Cuz really, the only opinion that really matters is yours. ...also I hope that you continue to share whatever aspects of your life you feel comfortable with ❤️
  7. To each their own. One person's "rush" is another person's lifetime. I booked my PS consults ONE WEEK after reaching goal weight (7 months after WLS). Had the actual PS surgeries 7 months later, (14 months after WLS)...and only because it was the earliest he could get me on his schedule. He (nor the other 3 surgeons I consulted with) had any time requirement to be at a stable weight. In fact, I lost another 12 lbs by the time surgery came around. At the time, my surgeon seemed to be more concerned about further weight loss after surgery than weight gain, at least in theoretical terms of how the skin at the the incision lines *may* have an undesirable "pucker" look depending on how your the scars heal. He said a 10lb loss would probably have more undesirable look-effects than a 20lb gain...but again depending on how your scars heal. In terms of weight gain, he said possible effects would be widening of scars (again depending on how you heal, AND how much you gain). I figure if I gain or lose weight in the future, and don't like how it looks, then I will do whatever I am prepared to do at that time to address it then. Maybe I'll have to re-tool my diet/exercise to "re-fit" my skin, maybe I'll have another surgery, maybe I won't care. But TODAY, I am completely and totally happy with my decision to get what I got and the timeline it was performed. Bring on bikini season!!! Do what makes YOU happy and what is in your means to do so. Good Luck! P.S. I am really excited for you though...PS is a GAME CHANGER.

1 year post op- not at goal

Yep...im 5’2” (female) and i didnt start eating over 800 until AFTER i was done weight loss...
  10. LOL glad there's someone else out there who appreciates these things! The fam makes a big show of how unpleasant they they think they are, and whenever I open up a can, insist that I rinse out the empty can and put it out into recycling bin in the garage immediately so as not to "stink up the place". Geez. Drama queens. 🙄
  11. Yes, please! 🙏❤️
  12. Afternoon snack: cottage cheese + blueberries + strawberries + pumpkin seeds (+ black pepper + cayenne powder) 163 calories

1 year post op- not at goal

Yep...my surgeon said he took off a whopping total of 400g (thats less than a pound), and i had an arm lift, breast lift AND tummy tuck. I definitely LOOKED better though.
  14. Everybody's doc seems to give different guidelines, its probably best/easier to just go by what they say. I took a look at my food logs at around 5 weeks and it looks like was eating poached/steamed chicken, steamed fish, canned oysters, cottage cheese and protein shakes (averaging about 400 cals a day). I believe it was Soft Foods stage for me at the time....

    Date Suggestions

I dunno if I'd consider myself a vet yet (just a little over 1.5 years out), but me and Mr. still do everything we used to do (pre-pandemic), INCLUDING going out to restaurants/bars...I just eat less. However, on top of our usual stuff, we also now exercise/work out together (before it was just him being active, and me being couch-potato-y). So i guess it was more me participating more with him on stuff he was already doing. Although I did make him take salsa dancing lessons with me...that didn't last long, lol.
  17. I tried the chaffle thing, and went out and bought one of those cute Dash minis. But the handful of times I attempted it, it just tastes like a well done omelette! I figure I must be doing something wrong....so now I'm going to give it another go this afternoon, because of this thread!
  18. I still enjoy/love food, but in a different way now, I guess. While before, EATIING it would give me a thrill, now, I honestly enjoy watching OTHERS eat it, cooking it, looking at pictures of it, even just smelling it, LOL. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing, it just IS. This surgery taught me a long time ago that I had to be selective in what I put in my mouth (given the limited real estate I have now, and the dumping, and of course the weight loss/maintenance results). I still love going to out to restaurants/bars/parties/get-togethers (well, at least pre-pandamic i did...) but I don't feel the need to eat everything anymore. I often find myself asking "Is it worth it"? More often than not, it isn't. Of course, yours (and others) milage may vary, but I figure it's a lifestyle change. One can't expect lasting change by doing the same things as before. It can be tough at first, but If you can stay the course, hopefully you will find a happier, healthier you. P.S. I am over 1.5 years out now, and no longer trying to lose weight, so I have a different vantage point. I don't really consider myself a vet yet, but I'm not a newbie either. So I fully recognize that it looks different from where you are standing. Take pics of yourself now, write down your measurements, and maybe months/weeks from now you will be all "yay, me" instead of "boo me". P.P.S On a less popular note, if the inevitable ability to indulge is more important to you than the weight loss (and for some, it is), then that is really your choice to make. I can only say from my own personal experience that I will take looking and feeling awesome over a 12-course tasting menu any day. (Not to say I wouldn't go to one, lol) Good Luck!
  19. Ok, @MarvelGirl25, making these were NOT as easy as I thought they would be!!! First, I more like painted the chocolate on vs dipped (way to messy...ended up eating and licking all the delicious drips, though lol) Also ended up holding a strawberry in each hand over and over for like 5 mins so it would dry enough to put in wax paper without the coating sliding off. And my cheap toothpicks kept breaking!!! Multiply that by 30 strawberries and that equals what felt like forever!!! I wonder what I was doing wrong...arg. Lastly, all the cool luster dust colours were out of stock at my local store so I only picked up Pearl and Bronze, which doesn’t nearly come out as nice (can barely tell I put any on, honestly!!!) Anyway, I am forbidding the family from eating them at the moment because I need the hard evidence of my blood, sweat and tears to exist a little longer. I may try this again another day. Maybe.
  20. Happy Birthday @Sophie7713 !!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
  21. Did the weekly inventory of the stuff in the fridge and determined I needed to use up some wonton wrappers, a couple stalks of green onions and what was left of a tub of cream cheese. Sooo....made Spicy Cream Cheese & Green Onion Fried Wontons! Also made a dipping sauce with Tamari, sesame oil, sriracha & a touch of honey (its in that stainless steel bowl in the background) These are terribly addictive, as evidenced that they where gone in like 10 minutes. But I did manage to eat one before they all disappeared. 1 wonton (without sauce): 66 cals

    Nervous About Craving

I loved dessert before WLS, and still did afterwards (and still do 1.5 years later). The real question is whether my stomach loved it. In the early months, anything with even just a little bit if sugar (even a sip of a mixed drink with sugary mixer) would result in serious dumping episodes and have me on the bathroom floor. I learned early that I had to keep sugar at a minimum (not that I had very much during weight loss phase anyway - just a handful of times, all of which I regretted soon after). Now, I can have a little more without getting as sick as I did. Not much more mind you...just last week I had 1/2 a donut fritter too quickly and I felt awful, heart raced for over half an hour and ended up passing out on the couch for over an hour. So i indulge once in I while, and in small amounts, eat it slowly, and when I remember, to have dessert NOT on an empty stomach (i find the dumping symptoms much worse on an empty stomach). P.S. i also want to note that i am done with weight loss phase, and I probably wouldn’t recommend doing the dessert thing until after you’ve reached goal. Take advantage of the rapid weight loss first, you can always try a bit of cake later. You may also find you won’t even care for it, like others said above. Good Luck!
  24. Made the @Sophie7713 wedge salad tonite !(took the picture before I realized I forgot to sprinkle blue cheese chunks on top (so the salad in my tummy had about a glorious 1 oz of the stuff added later, lol) Also made some “leftover chinese takeout”-fried rice for the fam (none for me!) Day old white rice + leftover crispy chicken + leftover beef & Chinese broccoli + frozen corn niblets + scrambled eggs + crispy fried garlic.
