    Also agree its not so very helpful to compare pounds lost. But I also recognize that we are human and that is what we will do (willingly or unwillingly). If you MUST compare, maybe try do just compare to people of your same age group and gender, as well as look at BMI’s instead of pounds lost...it will put things in a better perspective (not perfect, but better) Good Luck!

    Yeah...side or back splits would be waaay too advanced for my limited sewing skills. I’m more of a guerrilla-type sewer, lol.

    BMI 38.6 225 pounds 5’2

    Totally doable. Im sleeved, the same height as you, and almost same starting weight (I was 10 lbs heavier at 235 lbs). My doc said it would be considered a wls success if I got down to 170...I’m 115 today. Stick to your plan, it can be done. P.S. On a side note, at 225lbs and 5’2”, your BMI is actually 41.15
  5. Wowza, you’ve done AMAZINGLY! I see that you too used to wear the bigger person’s winter uniform: a t-shirt! (As your wife wears a scarf and gilet). Get ready to start wearing the wls summer uniform: sweatshirts and long pants. Congratulations!! Bask in your awesomeness!! 😎

    This is actually an OOTD fail. I had attempted to try my hand at altering the skirt to fit a little better and totally forgot that I had to actually walk in it! I sewed the thing waaaaay too slim-fit. #oopsies It looks pretty good if I just stand still, but I look ridiculous taking itty-bitty inchworm steps to move around. Ugh. I’ll fix it later.

  8. LOL, it was a bakery-bought item...i’ve never attempted to make butter tarts, but if ever do, they will be bacon ones for sure! They were delicious: sweet and salty and creamy and crunchy and flaky all at the same time. It did also have a relatively large piece of candied bacon as a garnish, which I let the kid have cuz she was faster than me, lol. Surprisingly, I didn’t dump! #yayMe
  9. (Imitation) crab salad sliders with fries & a grape salad. I had about 1/2 cup of the crab on top of some lettuce: 107 calories. Not shown: I also ate about 2/3 of a bacon butter tart which i forgot to take a pic of before I wolfed it down #oopsies #sooooooGood: +260 calories.
  10. More salad...i know, i know, getting repetitive. I’ll make sure my next salad posting looks a little different, lol Romaine & vinaigrette , carrots, cucumbers, baked chicken breast, feta, seedless grapes, spicy roast peanuts & chilli garlic condiment. 402 calories (the feta and peanuts upped the calorie counts this time...but sooo yum, so sooo worth it 😉) ...am eating as we speak, so dunno where i’ll end up...
  11. Semi-pro tip: try to find sone dried wakame. I find that they are less soggy and have a better texture than frozen after its re-hydrated..

  13. This is basically it. Barring any complications, any surgery will work if you work it. Like others said above, it’s really personal preference...unless you have GERD tendencies, in which case the recommendation would be bypass. I was sleeved and I’m all good. Good Luck!

  16. Nope, not hard at all...given that I had two bites of saucy pasta a couple weeks ago and barfed. I learn quickly (well most times, at least, lol)
  17. Fettuccine alfredo topped with pan-seared lemony garlic-y shrimp. I ate 9 shrimp (99g), skipped the pasta and sauce: 155 calories.
  18. Got to Costco to stock up on greens. Today’s lunch salad: romaine, grapes, cherry tomatoes, carrots, mint leaves, baked chicken breast, cucumber & vinaigrette. 129 calories ...and a vodka caesar beforehand, +125 calories (can u tell I love celery salt?? 😳) Drank the entire caesar (with about 1/2 the salt rim) and about 1/3 the salad...will work on the rest of it throughout the day)

    Scale Wh*re!!!!

    Ain’t nothin’ wrong with daily weighs, nor multiple weighs in a day for that matter, so long as it isn’t affecting your mental health! Lol. (Some can handle it, others can’t ❤️). Besides my daily morning weigh-in, i also get on the scale before showers, or if i’m in the bathroom when changing clothes....basically whenever I find myself naked, lol. But I don’t get on scales that aren’t mine though (unless at the doctor’s and i don't even count that weight), as I like to keep variability to a minimum.

  22. Didn’t cook tonight as the fam ordered pizza. Then I remembered I don’t eat pizza, hahhaha So fixed this sad looking bowl of food to eat: 40g chicken breast, 30g feta, 8 almonds & some roasted garlic bits. And spicy vinegar on the side (I’m out of salad greens 😭) Does look kinda sad, but was actually quite tasty, lol. 196 calories

    Are you cold?

    I used to be freezing ALL. THE. TIME. The unnatural coldness seemed to stop the past few months (I’m about 20 months post-op now). Last summer, I was still wearing sweaters and long pants to be comfortable. Now, not so much. I’m wearing a tank top and capris right now, and I’m good. This would have been unheard of last summer.
