Food Before and After Photos

Ok...u need to tell me what this is stuffed with! -
I may be in the minority but i prefer my scars over my flappy skin. ...and my scars are pretty significant (I normally scar pretty badly, so it was expected) Cant see them when I have my arms down, but yeah, when i lift my arms, they are pretty noticeable. And i tend to raise my arms alot...I admit, I’m a Woo-girl, lol. Based on past experience i know they should fade for ME in a year or two. But you will likely fare MUCH better cuz u heal beautifully! You’ve probably seen this before, but I’ll just include it for reference anyway:

agree with @sillykitty! You got a great result.

Obsessing about Plastic Surgery!!

I. DID. NOT. KNOW. THIS. 😳 -
I inadvertently started doing it around 3-4 months post op as I hated eating in the morning (i was never a breakfast eater, even pre-op). Around this time I was able to eat more at a sitting, so i didn’t need all day to get my food in anymore. I implemented a no eating after 7pm also, so ended up with a 6-7 hr-ish eating window. I still eat this way today most days.

Wasn’t sure if I should post this on the PS thread or on here, but decided on here in the end. I particularly like my work out outfit today cuz it makes me look curvier than I really am, lol (colour-blocking is your friend!) Also wanted to show off the bicep muscles that I have been working to get back since getting a little “loose” due to laziness. They aren’t as fabulous as they used to be a couple months ago, but am working in it.... P.S. Btw, I find it highly irritating that muscles disappear so quickly during periods of inactivity. Le Sigh. -

That is scar tape under my arm...yeah its pretty nasty...im overdue for a tape change...

Arg, I hear you on the incision healing. I had a rough go at it...though the longer than expected healing process was mostly self-imposed. Sigh. You are probably already doing this, but try to rest as much as possible and don’t do too much too soon (I was eager to get back to running and screwed myself. TWICE.). Keep the incisions clean and dry as much as possible. At one point I was cleaning (and drying) my worst incisions twice a day. I *think* it helped. Good luck with your appt, despite them being (fill-in-blank-here). ❤️ -
Also agree its not so very helpful to compare pounds lost. But I also recognize that we are human and that is what we will do (willingly or unwillingly). If you MUST compare, maybe try do just compare to people of your same age group and gender, as well as look at BMI’s instead of pounds lost...it will put things in a better perspective (not perfect, but better) Good Luck!

Yeah...side or back splits would be waaay too advanced for my limited sewing skills. I’m more of a guerrilla-type sewer, lol.

BMI 38.6 225 pounds 5’2
ms.sss replied to Thicc chick 504's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Totally doable. Im sleeved, the same height as you, and almost same starting weight (I was 10 lbs heavier at 235 lbs). My doc said it would be considered a wls success if I got down to 170...I’m 115 today. Stick to your plan, it can be done. P.S. On a side note, at 225lbs and 5’2”, your BMI is actually 41.15 -

Wowza, you’ve done AMAZINGLY! I see that you too used to wear the bigger person’s winter uniform: a t-shirt! (As your wife wears a scarf and gilet). Get ready to start wearing the wls summer uniform: sweatshirts and long pants. Congratulations!! Bask in your awesomeness!! 😎 -

This is actually an OOTD fail. I had attempted to try my hand at altering the skirt to fit a little better and totally forgot that I had to actually walk in it! I sewed the thing waaaaay too slim-fit. #oopsies It looks pretty good if I just stand still, but I look ridiculous taking itty-bitty inchworm steps to move around. Ugh. I’ll fix it later. -

Food Before and After Photos

LOL, it was a bakery-bought item...i’ve never attempted to make butter tarts, but if ever do, they will be bacon ones for sure! They were delicious: sweet and salty and creamy and crunchy and flaky all at the same time. It did also have a relatively large piece of candied bacon as a garnish, which I let the kid have cuz she was faster than me, lol. Surprisingly, I didn’t dump! #yayMe -

(Imitation) crab salad sliders with fries & a grape salad. I had about 1/2 cup of the crab on top of some lettuce: 107 calories. Not shown: I also ate about 2/3 of a bacon butter tart which i forgot to take a pic of before I wolfed it down #oopsies #sooooooGood: +260 calories. -

More salad...i know, i know, getting repetitive. I’ll make sure my next salad posting looks a little different, lol Romaine & vinaigrette , carrots, cucumbers, baked chicken breast, feta, seedless grapes, spicy roast peanuts & chilli garlic condiment. 402 calories (the feta and peanuts upped the calorie counts this time...but sooo yum, so sooo worth it 😉) ...am eating as we speak, so dunno where i’ll end up... -

Semi-pro tip: try to find sone dried wakame. I find that they are less soggy and have a better texture than frozen after its re-hydrated.. -

Please help me figure out surgeries!
ms.sss replied to Jessa4140's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
This is basically it. Barring any complications, any surgery will work if you work it. Like others said above, it’s really personal preference...unless you have GERD tendencies, in which case the recommendation would be bypass. I was sleeved and I’m all good. Good Luck! -
