Bypass v’s Sleeve..... help!
New&Improved replied to MinnieSD's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
There's a few different versions of a bypass available from loop to Ds to mini bypass but the most common and best one seems to be RNY BYPASS... You'll find many ppl being converted from sleeve to bypass anyway bypass may be more invasive but it's overall the best for better weight loss and long term loss and also very good for those with diabetes type 2... I've opted for bypass because it's more restrictive and it does change your metabolism for the better. The sleeve was originally designed as half an operation which could later be finished off with a DS but since then RNY BYPASS has taken over as the gold standard with years of success behind it! Google is your friend do your research! -

4 weeks out high protein
New&Improved replied to iliana00000's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes tuna or Salmon cans.. I've been stocking up whenever I see a good deal probably got about 50 cans so far as I'll be living off it eventually! Also stocking up on bulk protein powder: doesn't bother me I've got the proper protein shaker cups so there's no lumps just pure liquid protein! -
Exactly what my Dr said BYPASS is best for diabetes2 sufferers!

GERD before and after sleeve
New&Improved replied to nssmia's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Many being revisioned to BYPASS due to this! -
Depends on your own personal situation but the bypass is the more aggressive and better for long term weight loss. There numerous pages to read but one thing I must say is SLEEVE can cause reflux or GERD where bypass will fix it and many patient's end up having to be converted from SLEEVE to bypass anyway. I'm choosing bypass because it will help me as it's more restrictive and reduces absorption of calories but there's alot of scientific information out there! So Goodluck!

What do people think about taking fish oil capsules; contains Omega-3 fatty acids, EPA & DHA? After watching a medical documentary about the benefits I've started taking them as I do not eat enough fish at the moment. Paid $15 for 200 capsules @ 1500mg each *Eco friendly * Mercury tested * polysorbate 80 free * EPA 270mg & DHA 180mg Thanks guys

I find it funny that is ok for young girls to put filler all over their faces and implants in their butts and all that for no medical advances yet it's taboo to get help and have WLS? -
