First of all talk to them like adults. There's no shame in surgery. If they are curious just say you had some issues with health and you need to get better and best way is surgery to get the weight off. Try not to make it seem like you're ashamed otherwise it may make them feel bad if or when they have weight issues Be open honest involve them

That's ok but the regain comes down to the person's commitment and how well they follow the rules, you can regain with any procedures.. It comes down to motivation and commitment and determination. Good luck. -
Cigna- Requirements and Timeline
New&Improved replied to PeaceDove24's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes the DS combines both surgeries but it is much more intense, will be made to take numerous vitamins everyday 3x a day, you will risk malnutrition because of the extreme malabsorption, obviously you will lose quicker but there have been people on DS that have gone below their goal and ended up heading towards anorexia! The RNY is pretty much inbetween VSG and DS, I really hope you do more research before you make final decision! -

Hello folks. I'm new to this whole fitness tracker technology. I keep hearing about how good and how handy this devices are. I would love to know more about them if anybody has any experience to share and a vote on which is best? I want something to track all my steps, calories burned, heart rate, sleeping, any movements, possible to sync with mobile phone? I've heard some play music, some show text messages and notification? Some have alarms to wake up? Really looking into getting one to fit my big wrists and to keep myself motivated and track my daily life once I have the surgery! Tnx for all your input! P.s currently looking at fit bit 3 or Samsung gear fit Pro 2

I just downed a medium sized bowl of fruit salad in one sitting, how is this possible?!
New&Improved replied to Brotherman Bill's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If It's prepacked or canned it will contain sugars and carbs unless it's raw fruit, no reason to deliberately overwork your sleeve so early.... It's Not going to help you.. -

Not allowed to lose or gain pre-op?
New&Improved replied to SouthernPhoenix's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Very weird, I've heard about needing a minimum BMI sure but not having to stay the same.. yes if you go too low you won't qualify but if you gain weight that would show you need help and need surgery... -
