  1. All I can think about is the future possibilities 😀
  2. I remember it as hypoglycemia feeling like going from eating high carbs and sugar to none was a shock to the system... But after a few days of high protein I felt better and if you eat protein first in every meal you will get full quicker. Some days I don't even feel like eating on the preop
  3. Hello there I'm counting down the days. This has been a long time coming. I made a date with surgeon a few months ago and I have 6 weeks to go Decided to start my own preop diet already and I've managed to lose 30lbs in about 16 days! I'm feeling confident and happy to finally get this show on the road. will be seeing surgeon in 10 days for a check up and to confirm everything is going ahead as planned! it's getting very real now only 6 weeks left until I'm under the knife I'm happy for everyone who posts to give me the inspiration to keep going everyday and praying for my long term success!! Just wanted to share my latest feelings and update. Thanks again for your support!!

  5. My comment was just based on how many different things you take and compared to others. Of course it varies per person and their doctors orders and I said I'll find out myself soon
  6. That's crazy... I take 1 multivitamin per day and fish oil tabs preop I guess I'll find out what happens post op!

Scared of loosing too much weight!

I love the idea of losing weight and finally going to be normal and actually be able to buy decent clothes and get 'actual' female attention.. But I understand ladies like to have their curves

    What's your protein goal?

I think it's individual and best to speak to your dietitian team

    Bypass or sleeve?

You'll be taking plenty of vitamins with bypass and generally weight loss is better... Muscle tone comes down to exercise... They say there's more benefits from the bypass like if you have issues with gerd or reflux and it's the best for cure type 2 diabetes! There's tons of pages on here about each surgery

  14. Sorry to hear your struggles.. I'm currently preop started my diet early. Started at highest 322 and currently 291 in just 15 days.. Very low calorie and carbs and high protein logging everything! As I go along I know it will start slow down...

Find a new doctor asap... My doctor tried to advise me other alternatives and I said thanks but I've been in my body dealing with weight and diets for 20 years I think i know what I need...
  18. You will find every single person is different.. DNA. AGE. HEIGHT. STARTING WEIGHT. etc Other illnesses not related to obesity...
  19. Yes agree I've lost weight before but it always comes back on in the end.. Its not my dedication That's an ISSUE, I feel it's my metabolism and internal plumbing that's needs to be restructured to get the best chance at long term success!! That is why I'm going with RNY!
  20. WPI ISOLATE best quality. but on a budget any decent concentrate protein will do just keep an eye on the sugar fat and carbs content!!

  23. Definitely there are many people out there that have changed their lives without needing surgery but everybody is different! I've actually started my own preop much earlier than the surgeon asked. very low calorie and high protein low carbs and I've found I'm not hungry that much compared to what i used to be, and in just 15 days I'm down 30lbs (sure might be mostly water but feeling better and lost a few inches) The way I see it every lb lost will make the surgery easier for me and the surgical team
