  1. Still need to keep an eye on calories and protein and fat and carbs...
  2. I don't see how or why a band would ever be offered when the RNY is one of the best surgeries available...? A band is old technology with known complications.. I have heard that the bypass can be revised by overstitch to tighten the pouch up if needed... I don't know what the band will do to help if the bypass didn't do it already...
  3. I'll be getting blood test in a couple weeks 😀
  4. Definitely overkill-!! I take my B12 1000mcg once a day Calcium 500mcg +vitD 1000mcg 2x a day Multivitamin 2x a day That's all I've been told by my Dr.

    Protein Bar?

    IM SO SAD

Gee some ppl like to live in a fairy tale...not everything is roses and peaches and not every negative is a positive.. We need to experience and embrace pain in order to grow and it builds character... I had a lot of set backs as a child and I learnt everything happens for a reason and it has moulded me into who I am today Unfortunately it means I don't like to sugar coat anything..

    Liquid poo after surgery?

Yeah for me the first time I went at like day 3 until like day 14 was liquid because I was on liquid only diet I thought it made sense...

Pre-op diet: Can I have Stevia in my tea?

I do every day and post op too no issues that's the only way for me to get sweetness in my tea or coffee
  15. Hope everyone is doing well I've just made appointment to see my surgeon for my 3 months post op check up. I'll be doing blood test for all the vitamins and nutrients; Blood test says: IRON STUDIES,B12 FOLATE,VIT D, FBE, LFT/ELEC CRP TFT LIPIDS HDL LDL 2.5 weeks until I see the surgeon should be good I know he'll be very happy with my progress. since day 1 of my journey nearly 5 months ago I'm already down 127lbs and 61lbs since surgery. currently sitting at 195 would like to get to 185 maybe even 180 but I'll see how things go. 😀 Should be picking up my rowing machine this coming week which should help with toning.. I'm getting very excited for the coming year ahead! THANKS Mike.

    gastric bypass side effects

I had the RNY bypass but my surgeon chose to make my stomach bigger than a pouch yet smaller than a sleeve and I'm glad because I didn't have any issues with hitting my liquid goals in from day 1 I rarely have any hunger at all don't even think about food all day like I used to..
  19. Bypass or mini bypass I think is best option
  20. Do not get sleeve with reflux issues already!!!!!!

    Effect on families

Another fake story to try discredit surgery.. This man had many demons that had nothing to do with surgery if it's even true. I see this person only joined 2 hours ago.....

    Are Plastics Pretty Much Inevitable?

I agree with working out and things post op or post goal as above it may take months of hard work to see a difference in the saggy skin but it's not impossible as @AZhiker said!!
  23. Some ppl are so close to the bmi requirements they're not allowed to lose weight or they'll not qualify for surgery. so the 6 months is just a formality..
