  1. WOW I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW FAR I'VE COME. I started my diet journey 5 months ago today. at my heaviest in the surgeons office I weighed in at 322lbs. I was admitted to hospital for surgery 256lbs now I'm 3 months post op and feeling great. JUST hit 190lbs this morning and also realised I'm just 7lbs away from the top end of a healthy BMI. I'm doing so well I might even get down to 180lbs yet and that feels amazing. I've been doing a lot of fasting and that has really helped. I've also got my new rowing machine and started using it tonight; it is hard work that's for sure 😀 officially lost 132lbs now 😄 I still say RNY BYPASS was the best choice I've ever made and to anyone else looking at bypass don't stress too much I've not had one issue or complication so far!! THANKS. MIKE.

    Weight loss slow down

Maybe it's a lactose issue then you'll need either pure isolate or pea or soy protein.. Personally i think there's something wrong if a person can't drink shakes they are very important for a number of reasons...

    3 month stall question

There could be numerous factors as to why ppl stall and only that person really knows exactly what they are consuming and not everyone is 100% honest.... Sometimes you need to change up your intake or change your exercises or change calories until you figure out the exact combination your body likes...

Try different brands. Use powder with water. I had to try like 3 brands before I found one I like..

    Weight loss slow down

Okay well I'm confused how you can't be losing anything? I personally have about double that amount of protein though and less carbs; like keto without the fat...

    Weight loss slow down

That all seems fine.. Do you put dressing on sauces on salad or chicken? Doesn't look like you're getting much protein?

Sounds like you may be consuming too many carbs/sugar..? What do you eat each day?
  10. I hope you're getting bypass that's really the best surgery to change your metabolism and your set point plus the gut biome. Okay I went from eating so much junk all day everyday probably as much as 5000cal a day now 3 months post RNY I'll eat max 750cal and rarely even hungry I'm like a new person; I'm definitely not going into the fridge every hour like I used to.. You've done well to lose 60lbs and your surgery is coming up quick so you'll be fine. My honest experience is if I'm hungry I'll have high protein shake and that will fix my hunger but it's the bad carbs that cause insulin spike and hunger... I may be an anomaly but I lost 66lbs before my RNY and I've lost 66lbs since And I'm like 10lbs from my end goal too
  11. Yeah too much I was still around 500kcal a day.. At 3 months some days i go up to 700kcal

    * 7 LBS AWAY FROM HEALTHY BMI *

Yeah I'm nearly done with weight loss but I'll still need to spend months at the gym to gain some muscle tone and maybe tone my stomach area
  16. Ummm KFC pasta soft drink and you wonder why you're gaining weight???? Icecream... Why even ask a stupid question is not the bypass its your bad choices.... You know what you're doing wrong even if you can eat a plate how about a plate of fresh veggies or tuna salad or make your own chicken breast; there's plenty of healthy options..
  17. Doesn't really prepare you for the post op life though does it?
  18. I'm still on a strict diet low carb high protein. Maybe I'll have up to 20-30g a day carbs max. I'm still losing not yet at maintenance and only eat max 700cal-day.

    * 7 LBS AWAY FROM HEALTHY BMI *

Well it's kind of like the 8:16 I consume all my calories over a 6-8hr window then fast for the remaining 16hrs with using just sugar free items or a little coffee here and there of course there are variations of fasting out there you can research! thx
